SPECIAL FEATURES
- The DD-6 Repair droid can detach itself from its repair frame and slot into standard Astromech sockets or its semi-portable charger
- Versatile: Either capable of patching the hole on your capital ship on large starships or helping you fix small devices, the DD-6 Repair droid is capable of many tasks.
- Hard Worker: Its repulsorlifts are surprisingly powerful, capable of holding even a teenage human or young adult by itself (albeit with struggle). In its repair frame it can even drag large starship parts around.
- Astromech: It has no weapons, isn't ridiculously hard to catch up to, and is easily put down by any weapon you could get on the market.
- Ion Weapons: Disable it.
- Astromech Light: Less durable and functional as an Astromech. This is a maintenance and repair droid first, astromech second. Its databanks hold less navigational data and it can't do as complex calculations as a dedicated astromech can.
The DD-6 was a maintenance droid developed by MandalTech some time before the Gulag Plague. Its versatility to work as in shipyards and on military vessels as a repair droid and its ability to function as a light astromech made it popular during those times. Its undeniably cute and quirky looks also landed it as a favorite mascot for several small business throughout Mandalorian space. As time went on and MandalTech developed more specialized and dedicated astromechs the DD-6 inevitably fell into a full on repair role on capital ships and across private and publicly owned shipyards throughout the eastern Outer Rim. With its large repair frame and magnetic feet it easily traversed starships in vacuum, proving to be an invaluable part of many Mandalorian shipyards, repair stations, and refueling stations.
