DDSI Applied Sciences - Nanotextile Holoprojectors

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Uses Nanotextiles as a base for embedding nanoprojectors in a cloth medium
STRENGTHS
  • Low power holoprojectors can project holograms in the vicinity of the cloth into which the holoprojectors are embedded
  • Can be powered by the wearer's bioelectric field as long as the resultant hologram is not projected more than 2 meters away at 1 meter in size
  • Nanotextile Holoprojectors can project white light if desired, to provide simple illumination.
WEAKNESSES
  • Susceptible to being disabled by ion weapons and effects, which force it to reboot for a minute before coming back online.
  • The drain on the natural bioelectric emanations of a life form require them to eat an additional 300 calories per day.
DESCRIPTION
Once DDSI developed Nanotextiles for their space-suits and environmental suits, it naturally followed that they would proceed to embed additional capabilities into the nanotech matrices. They started small, embedding nanotech holo-projectors into the cloth which could be used to project HUDs, provide illumination, and integrate with holocom systems. As per usual, DDSI Applied Sciences funds its research and development by offering their tech for sale. The tech is already popular, found under the brand name Hood HUD in several tech stores galaxy-wide.
