High stopping power: Its default state packs as much punch as a heavy sonic blaster pistol
High Rate of Fire: Fires as fast as the trigger is pulled on standard, semi auto fire
Ease of Repair: The system is remarkably easy to repair
Apocalypse Proof: Due to a heavy durasteel formula, the pistol is very difficult to damage, and can fire after being dropped in water or mud or snow and flame
WEAKNESSES
Range: Don't expect a hit beyond twenty meters, anything below will usually be dead on target.
Ammo capacity: Even in burst fire, the ammo will expend quickly.
Recharge: Seven seconds in standard and burst mode is a long time to wait if one does not pace their shots. The recharge time is ten seconds if one uses disruptor mode
Burst irregularity: due to complications in compacting the firing mechanisms, the burst mode always fires a single shot on the first trigger pull, then the second and third trigger pulls are three shot bursts. Skilled shooters however may be able to take advantage of this flaw in potentially surprising an opponent
DESCRIPTION
The De Lifte CSDP (Compact Sonic Disruptor Pistol) is a Gulag Plague-Era Weapon based off the Shen-Long Screamer, a weapon used in a notoriously crime ridden area of Atrisia and exported galaxy wide during the Gulag Virus wherever trade routes still functioned. The De Lifte Family acquired a number of these and spent a considerable amount of time modifying them for use by trusted field agents sent behind enemy lines. A recharging pistol is an invaluable tool during situations where encountering more or compatible ammo may be a problem. The blasters were modified to function secretly as sonic disruptors, as the infrastructure and broken down so badly on many worlds it was easy to ignore the laws on multiple planets, as most law enforcement authorities were barely functional on most worlds. Themis obtained this one example from a weapon cache of hers on Alderaan, gifting it to Lucien as an initiation present.
