Dealing with some Galactic Business

Lanoitan Draugria

Force Sensitive,Ex-Imperial Admiral Besalisk
Lanoitan Draugria Had been assisted by a few friends from the CIS to capture the old Imperial Base on Lok. They successfully did so, and they left him with the Base and his troops to deal with some other business in their faction, One said something about Christosis, but that's about it.

A Week had past since then, and Lanoitan sent out the following message across the Galaxy:

Attention All Sentients across the Galaxy!

This is a Message from the Galactic Imperial Regulator HQ on the Planet Lok, Telling you all that We are Seeking All forms of assistance!

Any who wish to join the G.I.R, please come to the Planet Lok, and meet with Admiral Lanoitan Draugria. For Directions, please seek the nearest Nav-computer or Star Map, and search for the Planet Lok.

This has been a Message from the Galactic Imperial Regulators.

Lanoitan now waited for anyone to answer the call and to come to the Base.

(Greetings Any and All, Welcome to the first Open Thread for the G.I.R. Anyone is welcome to jump in, whether to join the Faction, or just to have fun, jump in, and join the Thread. You can make your own story when you enter, just have fun posting!)

THEED HANGAR SEVENTH PATROL GROUP
1x Spinnaker-class Light Carrier
2x Handmaiden-class Escort Corvette
2x H9-class Patrol Corvette

Lok being quite near Naboo, and Naboo being a regional centre of all things scan-related, it didn't take long for the transmission to get attention. Seventh Patrol Group exited hyperspace over Lok in a standard formation: carrier in the middle, Handmaidens at nine and three, H9 patrol corvettes a little farther out at eight and four. A defensive stance, not an offensive one. The carrier hadn't even launched anything other than a handful of small scanning probes.

On the bridge of the carrier, Ajira activated a keypad command prepped by her comms officer.

"This is Director General Cardei of Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps, Strategic Security Branch, commanding the Seventh Patrol Group. I'm looking to speak with Admiral Draugria or another representative of the Galactic Imperial Regulators."

As usual, her Force signature was almost completely hidden; publicly, she was an untrained Force-sensitive.

"This is Lanoitan Draugria, you are permitted to land. Welcome to Lok, General."

He'd give the Anti-Air defense troops the order to stand down, mainly due to them already preparing for an interception formation, to either drive away or take down their fighter while the AA guns on the ground shot down most of the other larger ships. Or at least that's what they would of done if Lanoitan didn't permit [member="Ajira Cardei"] to come in and meet face to face.

Three small ships broke away from the Naboo light carrier. Two Soruna-class space superiority fighters took up escort positions relative to a Virtue-class light bomber. A Virtue had room for a single passenger. That seat was occupied by Director General Cardei, who would have preferred a larger ship and a commensurately scaled chair. Nevertheless, a Spinnaker was a functional, economical patrol ship: it carried nothing more suitable for diplomatic transport.

The Virtue touched down on the ugly gray-green soil of Lok; only Ajira disembarked. The Sorunas began flying an overwatch pattern, regardless of local patrols or forces.

Removing her helmet, Ajira deposited it in the bomber. She adjusted her robes with quick, deft motions at cuffs and collar, then walked out to meet whoever was coming. She wore no weapon, carried nothing but a cylindrical comlink.

"Captain, I am going to speak with Miss [member="Ajira Cardei"]. Watch the control room for me."

"Yes Sir, right away Sir."

The imperials saluting him as he leaves the control room, wearing his normal battle armor, except for his helmet, and his two Light Clubs. As he made his way to the landing platform, he did see the ships coming down from the atmosphere, landing in front of him as he got ready to meet what ever diplomat is named Cardei. He'd fix his collar for a second, standing at attention while he awaited the General to emerge from her craft.

Ajira went unarmed and without a guard or aide. She wore the kind of robes that Naboo would call simple and anyone else would call ornate. As she emerged from the Virtue-class bomber, she took in the sight of the commander: armored, alone, gigantic, and wearing two large lightsabres.

To her secret identity, no threat at all. To her public identity, lethal. And that posed problems for defending herself if this turned hostile. She could subdue him with relative ease, most likely -- but that would expose at least one of her secrets, so it couldn't happen.

Regardless, she walked right up to him, face impassive. "I'm Director General Cardei of Strategic Security Branch at the Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps. In short, I work for the King, and I've been asked to respond to your broadcast by asking you your intentions toward nearby worlds. What does your government stand for? What are your aims?"

Glory to the New World Order. Hail to the King. Death Before Dishonor. Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Hail fucking Caesar. It was the same no matter where you went, someone saying their cause was right, that they were just and without sin. Really it was all quite moving, but most importantly it was all Bantha crap. All of it. Half the time people didn't know what to do when they were truly free, when they didn't have big brother watching over them. It was almost tragic really. But from that need of government, that's where Blonde thrived. Because where you had new governments, you had new militaries, and when you had new militaries you had demand. And let's just say Blonde was the supply.

Fun fact. Throughout the galaxy it roughly costs about twenty-six thousand five hundred and twenty-two credits to outfit your standard foot soldier. Where others saw a valiant soldier fighting for their rights and protection, Blonde saw a meal ticket. People always wanted guns and she had a stockpile of those things just sitting around waiting to be used. Especially now. After the events of Christophsis she had lost millions of credits, she needed to move product and soon.

So pulling up in a small fleet of ships consisting of three carriers and a very friendly star destroyer. With the leader and very much wanted leader of the Black Tie Syndicate onboard, the woman let out a soft sigh as she adorned her force imbued identity concealing gas mask. Obviously she couldn't state who she truly was, people would have a fit. So adjusting the vocalizers on her mask the pitch of her voice lowered and she'd open up communications.

"Good afternoon fair people of Lok. This is Miss Bonzai of the Vagrant Merchant Fleet. We've come to do business and sell our fine wares to your new nation. Please do not mind the ships, they are simply for our protection and to carry our numerous amounts of products we wish to sell to you. If you'll have us, we'll gladly send a detachment down." Miss Blonde said in a very chipper voice despite how low the vocalizers had been turned down.

Though there was something off about it. For the untrained person everything was normal. But if one listened in carefully they'd be able to hear something from the woman's voice. Power. Power, confidence, and a deadly undertone that most merchants normally didn't have. But there was something else, the star destroyer had battle wounds, serious hull scorches that weren't typically seen on merchant ships. But then again it was an old Techno Union ship, maybe they had bought it or salvaged it when the government went under. Either way it didn't score points with their credibility of merchants.

"I am Admiral Lanoitan Draugria, commander in chief of the Galactic Imperial Regulators."

He shook her hand once she introduced herself, and started escorting [member="Ajira Cardei"] into the base, her guards staying at the ship. He decided to address her question about half way to the main gate.

"General, The Galactic Imperial Regulators is a reinforcement and defense ideology, with the intention of assisting large governments or worlds with reinforcement issues, especially for governments that can not supply their territories with the troops necessary to make a presence there."

"G.I.R Also defends planets that are being wrongfully invaded by governing powers hundreds of times more stronger in a military then the planet could ever be. Worlds that have sentient, and call out for help from anyone who can help them in their time of need. That, is the purpose of G.I.R"

As they were talking outside, in the command room, the broadcast sent down by [member="Miss Blonde"] was received, and answered rather quickly.

"Ma'am, this is Captain Johnathan Murillo, Current available officer of the Galactic Imperial Regulator HQ on Lok. If you are here for discussions between yourself and G..R Officials, then please, come down to the base, and meet with our commanding officer, Admiral Lanoitan Draugria."

The coordinates of the base were then sent to the fleet that just arrived, as the Captain awaited her response.

The Naboo-flagged flotilla -- one light carrier, four corvettes -- operated at a lower order of magnitude than the new arrivals. The Naboo vessels made no hostile moves, and their weapons remained offline.

Down on the planet, Ajira's comm beeped at her belt. She touched a contact, and a transmission from orbit filtered down through her earbud comm. Her eyes tightened, but she kept following Draugria inside.

"I see. And who pays the bills, Admiral Draugria? For example, the arms merchants who recently arrived in orbit -- if you buy from them, what corporation or citizen tax base or spoils of war will purchase those weapons for you?"

Miss Blonde

"Understood. We'll be arriving shortly." Miss Blonde then hung up comms and readied herself.

As she changed into something that wasn't a black suit and tie, the woman quickly adorned a thick coat and hood that covered her bright blonde hair leaving only a gas mask being visible in the large dark coat. Once done preparing herself the woman moved over towards her men who were of course loading sample weapons and small vehicles into a large shuttle. With everything in order the crime lord stepped forward and was confronted by a an older man with black hair and thick black sunglasses.

"What if they don't buy?" The man asked in a very serious tone. It was indeed a good question.

"Then we know where they sleep at night, now don't we? We can't pull anything right now, not with those Naboo ships here. They'd call back up and we're already dealing with enough heat from the remnant." Blonde said as she boarded the shuttle. She looked back at the man for a moment and gave a soft chuckle.

"Besides. We can always kill them later. There's no rush." And then the ship sealed.

With full power to the engines, the ship would blast out of the hanger and head down towards the surface of the planet. They quickly followed the coordinates given to her and arrived within a few minutes. The ship promptly touched down and then the show began.

The ramp lowered and Miss Blonde in her five foot tall glory stepped out. With her identity and mind masked by her facial accessories, the woman didn't bother to hide her aura in the force. While her mind was shielded the feeling that exuded from her was all about one thing. Ruthlessness. It felt like a merciless tide of efficiency, professionalism, and power. It was best summed up as a King Cobra, a small but deadly foe that you didn't want to bare it's fangs. And you certainly didn't want to trap into a corner. But as that feeling and aura would spread forth helping to damage the whole merchant identity, the woman joined the little party as she was followed by her little entourage of plainly dressed thugs.

While their clothing said every day merchants. The looks on their faces told a different story. Killers, thugs, and deadly adversaries that had been along the block.

"Thank you for having us. I'm Miss Bonzai, leader of the Vagrant Merchant Fleet. I come here to trade and do business. Help your cause to better secure its boarders." Her gas mask's visor would then trace over to the woman.

"And who might this be? I recognized those ships in orbit. Are you from Naboo? Beautiful place. Simply to die for." she said putting emphasis on the last few words in her speech.

"Well...Currently, General, we have been getting our arms from Meran Mechanics, one of their head members being a part of our R&D Department. We also have Miss Kami Meran supplying us with weaponry, as her sibling has been giving us ships and vehicles."

"As for the arms merchants that have recently arrived...'ll see if we can't negotiate some form of trade between the two...After all, I do still have tech from my old Imperial Navy Days."

Lanoitan looked up at the ships belonging to [member="Miss Blonde"] as they walk inside the main gates., curious unto what they'll take for technology. He also was thinking about how well Naboo will take this visit, and how the King will react to [member="Ajira Cardei"] reporting back to him with the information currently gathered, the two of them heading towards an observation deck that is near by.

The observation deck didn't really have much of a view, at least by Naboo standards. Objectively, Lok was an ugly moon. Ajira looked away from the view and settled her regard on the short woman in the gas mask.

"A pleasure, Miss Bonzai. I'm Ajira Cardei. Theed Hangar sent me in response to Admiral Draugria's broadcast. I'm here to make initial contact with the GIR and assess their intentions. It wouldn't be the first time a government-like organization has begun operating on this scale in this region. Always best to get to know one's neighbors."

He'd turn around with her, thinking [member="Ajira Cardei"] was turning to leave the balcony, only to see [member="Miss Blonde"], a short woman with a Gas Mask, and he smiled, holding out his hand to shake hands with her.

"Hello Ma'am, I am Admiral Lanoitan Draugria, Head and Founder of the Galactic Imperial Regulators, and I am pleased to meet you."

Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
When the man walked forward to shake Miss Blonde's hand and introduce himself, he would receive a very cold reaction from her. Rather than the warm and friendly greeting a traveling merchant would normally give, the woman didn't even move her hand or attempt to shake it. It was something that person in a position of real power would do, and it showed the more deadly and distant attitude of arms dealers, particularly the illegal ones.

"Ew." Blonde replied in a very monotone voice as she took a step backwards to show she really wasn't interested in being friends with him.

"Miss Bonzai, Vagrant Merchant Fleet. Arms and Armor division." Blonde said as her head cocked over to the other woman.

"Theed Hanger, huh? Well they certainly are keeping you busy. Now if you're not here to make a sale, piss off. These people couldn't hurt womp rat and we both know that." Blonde would turn her attention back to the big man in charge.

"Or at least not yet. I hear you are carrying Mereen Mechanics munitions and armor. Now I need to tell you Mereen's stock is garbage. If you want real quality you talk to me. We've supplied empires and insurgencies across the galaxy, and I'll put my money where my mouth is. I've brought a few samples for all of you to play around with." Blonde would snap her fingers and have her men bring the crates of weapons around to display by her.

"We of course off more explosive solutions to problems if that's what you're into."

Ashin Varanin, buried beneath layers of semblance and Quey'tek, evaluated her chances of killing this woman as extremely high - but that virtually guaranteed a negative result in orbit, and carried an even more unacceptable risk of jeopardizing her cover identity. Therefore, she allowed Ajira Cardei to make similar estimations and come to similar conclusions, plus some reasonable apprehension about personal safety. She licked her lips nervously, a minute tell, and nodded once.

"We came for a meet and greet, not for sales purposes, so yes, I think our business is concluded. Admiral Draugria, a pleasure to meet you."

She gave a shallow, polite bow and headed back the way she'd come. If uninterrupted, in short order she would reach the Virtue and take off. She would rendezvous with her overwatch fighters and then the orbital flotilla, at which point they would return to Naboo territory.

Lanoitan Draugria

Very well. I hope you have a safe trip back to Naboo, General."

Lanoitan would bow his head in respect back to [member="Ajira Cardei"] as she left, now turning his attention to [member="Miss Blonde"], who already was making a bad first impression.

"If we are to conduct Business, then you could be more...never mind. Forget it. You just have the stench of a woman who is too cowardly, or too immature to have a sense of decency as a simple, proper greeting."

He wasn't to thrilled to meet her, and his old Officer outlook on the Galaxy started to show, what with the nonsense of decency and cowardliness. He shook his head as he moved back out to the Balcony, looking up at the Merchants fleet. He had become rather agitated from her behavior fast, her "Ew" reminding him of a small child who didn't know how to behave.

"Tell me, would you happen to be selling any Capital ships? Or a weapon that could be used for standard issue troopers? Meran Mechanics has supplied the GIR with Armor, vehicles and ships, but at the moment, only a Frigate class ship has been put to production and actual use. Or have my earlier words made you change your mind about any dealership with me and my men?"

Viceroy Vanderhing heard of the Imperial Regulators call and immediately saw money signs. He new this could be a lucrative deal and he just had to stick his fingers in this and get a slice. So from his citadel on Cato Neimoidia he set out with a small merchant fleet (as well as a few droid fighters for safety) to Lok. He rubbed his hands together and gave a greedy smile as his fleet began to leave. He was quite disgusted with the location, it was where the false CIS began. It wasn't a Confederacy, it was a circus.... And he hated to be reminded of it. Soon he arrived to the planet's surface on a Sheevipede shuttle. It's crab-like feet gently tapping the ground as several others holding battle droid guards did the same

The Battle droids lined up in two lines in front of the shuttle as its doors flew open with a whoosh revealing the Viceroy clad in colorful and vibrant Neimoidian garments which flowed as he went by. Following him were two Neimoidian aides as well as his advisor Genf Orkay, not to mention the battle droids went followed soon after he passed them. He limped forward, his cane taping hard on the ground and gave a bow to the admiral. He took notice of two other individuals one he had heard of, from Naboo.... The Viceroy had to admit, he held a bit of a grudge for the people of Naboo for the downfall of the first Trade Federation as the feeling was likely mutual towards his Trade Federation. He eyed the Naboo women down..... It seemed slightly awkward to him to see her there and wondered what her reaction towards him would be. The other, he didn't now nor have heard of but judging by how she greeted the admiral, he likely would hold disgust towards her. He continued with his bow then extended his arm for a shake

"Good evening.... I, am Viceroy Herr Vanderhing of the Trade Federation!!"

"Ah, Viceroy, a Pleasure to meet you. I am Admiral Lanoitan Draugria, Ex-Admiral of the Navy of the Galactic Empire., now the Founder and Head of the Galactic Imperial Regulators. I take it you are here for the Transmission I sent out, Correct?"

After the disrespect shown by [member="Miss Blonde"], He was happy to see some form of respect from [member="Herr Vanderhing"], despite the interesting way of him getting this base with another Neimodian, that was also accompanied by Clone War age Battle Droids. As far as he knew, the Nabooan General left, most likely to report her findings on Lok.

"If you are here to assist with supplying the Galactic Imperial Regulators with any droids or ships you have, I'd be glad to set a price, and start myself a shopping list."

Fleet Composition:

1x Resurgent-class Star Destroyer
5x Denial-class Escorts
2x Imperial-x Star Destroyers

Whenever the First Order heard the name imperial uttered by a government, it piqued the interest of First Imperial High Command and by extension Supreme Leader. If the Imperial Remnant experiment were a precedent, then these upstarts were something to be destroyed before they could take root. Nonetheless, they had to be investigated, with a force ready to destroy these pretenders or ascertain their purpose. This group ha some form of bizarre intent, broadcasting on such open frequencies. So, to investigate the problem, imperial command sent a man equally as strange.

From the rear of all arriving fleets, came a battlegroup of massive size. Flanked by two large imperial-x destroyers, the hulking resurgent class star destroyer took lead, broadcasting this message. "Attention all ships in orbit of Lok. This is Battlegroup Conquest of the First Imperial Navy. We have come representing the First Order." The message continued, "We request a meeting with your leadership, and allocation for orbital access."

Aboard the FIV Defender's bridge, Carlyle smiled as he heard the communique his Communications Officer had put together, "Very good work." He said, complimenting his officer. It was quick, it was to the point, and hopefully didn't start any wars.

"Thank you Commodore." Comms replied with a wry smile.

"Sir, we're receiving signals, that multiple ships are in orbit." The Scanning officer said, looking up at the commodore from his crew pit.

"What sort of ships are in orbit Scanning?" Carlyle asked.

"A flotilla of ships. All of which seem to be constructed by different manufacturers. Seems to be Techno Union tech." Scanning reported, "Then we have a few Nemoidian freighters."

"Anything else Scanning?" Carlyle asked.

"A small Naboo fleet. All military, seems to just be a patrol. It's probably doing what we're doing." Scanning said.

"Alliance scum." Carlyle said, turning to his cohorts, "Always trying to get their fingers into everything." The officer scowled as the resurgent steadily moved closer to Lok. "Have our gunnery crews on alert, I wouldn't put it past them to use this as some sort of Cassus Belli." He then turned to the TIE Operations Officer, "Prepare a shuttle." Carlyle said, "I want to be able to be on the surface in minutes."

"Sir. The First Order has Arrived."

Soon after [member="Carlyle Rausgeber"] and his Fleet arrive to Lok and send out their request, a Stormtrooper had informed Lanoitan directly, as he had a look of shock on his face as he turned at the view from the Balcony, and saw the Star Destroyers come out of hyper space into the system.

"Give me a Communicator now. NOW, CAPTAIN!"

"Y-Yes Sir!" The Stormtrooper squeaked as he barked for anyway to send a response to the First Order ships. Lanoitan hadn't seen true Star Destroyers since his days of the Empire. Everything else had to wait, this had to come first, or else He, and the Galactic Imperial Regulators, would be wipe off the face of the Galaxy. The same storm trooper returned, with a communicator, that would transmit from the main comms unit in the command center.

"This is Admiral Lanoitan Draugria. Head and Founder of the Galactic Imperial Regulators, and Ex-Admiral of the Navy, of the Galactic Empire. To All First Order Craft, you are welcomed with open arms, and I am Honored to make the Aquatince of both the First Order, and of whoever is in command of the Conquest Battle group."
