Death By Lightsaber

Being a Jedi or Jedi sympathizer has been declared illegal by The Sith Empire. To enforce this law two Sith have been sent to the world of Klatooine. Their mission is to reach a suspected Jedi compound on the planet and bring them death by lightsaber.

Darth Cinis sat down, legs crossed and disassembled his lightsaber with the force as he floated off the ground for about ten minutes meditating. Suddenly the ship (http://starwarsrp.net/topic/113130-avata-class-infiltrator/) exited hyperspace around Klatooine, shaking as it did so.

Cinis put his lightsaber back together before he opened his fiery eyes and grabbed it out of the air. He lowered back to the ground and stood up. Putting his saber to his left hip he walked out the door of the dark room he was in. Cinis made his way to the ship's main chamber to meet with his fellow assassin.

Legality had never stopped Darth Ophidia from exterminating Jedi Compounds before, or anyone she saw fit to deem a threat to the Sith Empire and Brotherhood for that matter; lord, peasant, or anything in between. Yet, there was a special felicity brought on by the legality of the matter, almost so that she concurred with the pedantry of an inquisitor. This extermination was one of many on the planets near Sith-Imperial space. These Jedi were supporting a rot within the Empire's own territory, and it could not be allowed to proceed with its most heinous practise.

The warm, sweet sensation of piping hot tea travelled over her lips as she drained her metal cup and delicately set it down on the matching tray, which quaked with the ship's reversal from hyperspace. Her android servitor, Darling, looked back at her and gave her a gesture of everything being O-K just as the planet of Klantooine popped into being before them.

Ophidia turned her head just so to see as her companion for the journey stepped out from his meditation.

"I always found meditating during travel so tedious." "You never have time to really delve, and just as you get to the best bit-" She gestured to their current situation.

Her feet slipped down to the floor as she rose from her seat and into her full height like some sort of spectre. The stark contrast between the layered, darkened robes and the chalk-white skin was disturbing in its own right, even before one considered the eyes, burning like a pair of eclipsed suns. They didn't blink, nor waver the way most people's eyes did, but remained perfectly still as she looked at him. Her lips, painted a blue so dark it encroached on blackness itself, barely offset by the inky tattoos on her face, grew into a wry smile.

"Klantooine."

She turned, the tattered fringe of her robes draped around her as her belt seemingly shifted, climbing a little higher all on its own before settling into position.

The young knight was a little surprised to see his associate was already in the room waiting for him with a cup of tea in hand.

"Yes, but even a small amount of meditation before combat helps hone my senses and keep me focused. May I have some tea?"

He hadn't introduced himself before in his rush to get onto the ship and into combat. Seeking to rectify this he approached the woman.

Upon closer inspection he realized this woman was [member="Darth Ophidia"] herself. The young Cinis was honored to be fighting at her side.

"Wait. I know who you are. You're Darth Ophidia, the Pale Assassin!" He said before kneeling, "I am Darth Cinis. Your humble knight."

After he said this and stood back up again their ship flew downward, entering Klatooine's atmosphere, unseen.

"Why of course"

With a wave of her left hand, she commanded the Force to lift and tip the metal teapot, and pour the piping hot liquid into a small, waiting cup of the same metal. It bubbled a little and foamed at the edges as it cascaded down. With ease, the teapot cut the stream and flowed back down, leaving a perfect cup of tea waiting to be picked up.

With her back still turned, her hands settled behind her back; the right clasping the wrist of the left. A golden disk slowly turned between the fingers of her left hand, catching the light and then being swallowed in darkness.. She saw his silhouette reflected in the transparisteel of the viewport, but seemed focused on the world beyond. Unlike most Sith Lords, who exuded a cloud of noxious authority, she seemingly handed him an opening, a chink in her defences, or even a challenge.

However, the utter confidence and comfort in her relaxed stance hinted to her ability.

"Darth Cinis" "What do you know of Klantooine and the mission ahead?"

Their ship broke through the uppermost clouds in its descent, bringing the ground steadily closer and closer.

Cinis watched as Ophidia poured his tea with the force. Reaching out with his right arm, the knight telekinetically summoned the tea cup into his open hand. Slowly, so as not to spill any of it.

"Thank you." he said, blowing over the hot tea to cool it some before taking a sip.

The young assassin wondered why the woman had her back to him for a moment before something else drew his eye. Something in her hands, a golden disk. A coin? He didn't feel the need to mention it though. If it was important she'd say something about it.

He turned from sipping his tea and looked at Ophidia as he answered her question, "I honestly don't know much about the planet Klatooine, except that it's a desert world. And I know of the dog-faced Klatooinian natives and their connection to the Hutts. As for the mission: we are here to assassinate any and all Jedi inside a compound here. In accordance with a new Sith law that has declared them and their allies outlawed. That is what I was told."

Cinis was glad they were traveling to the side of the planet currently in darkness. He wouldn't have to feel the scorching sun or see the natives' ugly faces. Not that he'd see many of them among the mostly foreign Jedi below anyway.

"We're here." Cinis said.

He could sense it before the ship notified anyone on board. The ship had finally made it to the surface. The compound was directly beneath their stealthed craft.

He quickly made his way to the entry/exit ramp. Standing by the doorway the eager assassin opened it with the force. As he looked down at the old compound Cinis saw four Jedi guards scattered across the roof.

"I'll take those two." he said, pointing to Jedi on the roof, left of the ship. "I'll leave the two on the right for you, Lady Ophidia."

The Sith Assassin kneeled down and pulled a knife (https://pin.it/pctvo63dg5sadm) from it's sheath on his left hip with his right hand. He tossed it up, catching it between his fingers by the flat of the blade and threw it at the nearest Jedi. He didn't sense a thing and quickly collapsed when the blade imbedded itself into the vertebrae of his neck.

One of this Jedi's friends sensed something was up and ran to his ally's corpse. Just as intended.

"Easy." Cinis said with a grin. He looked at the Pale Assassin than back outside "Death to the Jedi." With those words he lept from the ship, lightsaber in hand.

He quietly landed behind the Jedi, crouching down before standing. As he lunged his arm forward, Cinis ignited his saber through the chest. It ignited with blood red light and an almost hateful sound. He pulled it from the body, extinguishing the blade as it was halfway out.

The second Jedi fell dead on top of the first one, in a two man pile. Cinis grabbed his dagger and ripped it from the first corpse. He used his cloak to clean off the blood then waited for Ophidia.

Young assassins were so hasty.

It was almost nostalgic to Darth Ophidia, seeing someone throw themselves into the mission with such reckless abandon while she maintained her measured distance to all things. Indeed, she had been the one who had thrown herself first into the fray once. It had brought her pain, infamy, successes and- No, not failure. Success or death had always been her mantra, but with it she had been forced to retreat, restrategrise, and attempt again and again.

The gold coin disappeared into her palm, vanishing between her fingers. She stepped casually off the edge of the ship after Cinis and stabilised herself in the fall. And then, just before she was supposed to hit the ground, she was gone. There was no sound, no sight of her form, though the shadows did thicken around the two guards.

Then suddenly, a splash of blood gushed out of the neck of one as the hidden blade penetrated the throat and cut through the inside of the larynx. A whiplike weapon struck the other, seemingly leaping out of the darkness and attaching itself to the throat of the second guard, all in the blink of an eye. The two bodies collapsed softly against the walls, near soundlessly, and Darth Ophidia became visible again as though she simply faded into existence.

The whiplike weapon curled back on its own and circumvented her waist twice before clinging on to itself. Yellow eyes looked at Cinis before the eyelids closed and the serpent appeared once more like an ornate piece of attire. The little, wrist mounted blade retracted into its vambrace with a rotation of her wrist, waiting for its next opportunity to strike.

"Well then, let's proceed."

She swiped her left hand to the side, using the Force to open the hatch leading down from the roof and into the compound, and then stepped inside, dropping down to the bottom of the ladder. Her eyes peered into the dark as she merged with the shadow. The corridor met a single door further down a hallway on one side, and a longer corridor stretched out the other way.

She slipped toward the singular door, looking back toward Cinis for a moment before putting her ear to the door and listening. It was quiet inside, but she could hear a heartbeat and detect some sort of scent, like a faint smoke of burning seasoning.

Darth Cinis hadn't been able to see Ophidia kill her targets, as he was busy with his own. However he did see her weapons retract as she reappeared. He knew of the hidden blade she used, though he chose not to use one himself, but her other weapon he didn't know. It was. . . odd. At first he thought it was a whip, but then realized it was some sort living, snake-like weapon. Did it just look at him? He wanted to ask what the hell it was, but since they were busy on mission and silence was key he chose to ask later.

"Yes, ma'am. Quick and quiet."

Ophidia went down the hatch and Cinis jumped down after her. He followed her to the door at the end of the hall. Nodding as she looked back at him. The young assassin waited for the Rattataki woman to move her ear away from the door before he walked in. The doors opened and Cinis saw a hideous Klatooinian Jedi cooking a meal.

"Foods almost done, guys. Just four more minutes." the cook said without turning around.

Cinis stood with his hands resting on the hilt of the lightsaber hanging from his left hip.

"Mmm, smells delicious!" he said as if he knew the Jedi.

As soon as they heard his deep, dark side distorted voice the Klatooinian turned around and reached for his saber. Cinis was faster. He ignited his lightsaber and cut off the creature's hand before they could even activate theirs. The alien screamed out in pain and fell against the oven, before a hand covered his mouth.

"Shh. Don't scream yet. The pain has just begun." Cinis said cruelly. He looked at Darth Ophidia, "I think I know how to bring the others to us."

The Jedi looked horrified and whimpered before shutting up. The Sith extinguished his lightsaber, placing it back on his hip. Now with two open hands, he pointed them at the Jedi and shot lightning through his body.

"Now you can scream!"

And they did. A lot. Darth Cinis moved to the left to allow Ophidia room to join in on the torture if she wanted. After about ten or so minutes of torture he could sense them. The other Jedi were coming, as planned.

Cinis took his lightsaber again from his hip and ignited it. He held it in both hands, adjusting his grip so the blade pointed to the floor. He kneeled and stabbed the Klatooinian downward through the heart. His limbs went limp as Cinis removed his blade, then the body fell over onto it's right side.

Gripping him with the force Cinis threw the corpse out the door. He extinguished his blade once more and followed the body down the hall to wait for the rest of the Jedi.

As Cinis stormed in, Ophidia lingered behind. She leaned on the corner of the door as the klantooian's hand fell to the floor, separated from its body, and the jedi was grappled by the sith. She watched Cinis overpower the Jedi, and perked an eyebrow at his claim to knowing how to lure others. The answer was of course simple: Pain.

Pain was like a beacon.

When the other Jedi felt the Klantooian's pain, they would inevitably come to his rescue. It would be valiant but inevitably futile as Ophidia and Cinis would be waiting for them. She had to admit it was a good plan.

"Just make sure he lasts long enough to draw them in."

Ophidia did not join in on the electrocution, but the blue light of the lightning shone in her eyes until she turned and looked at the hallway through which their prey would have to pass. She considered how they could best execute their trap, and there was at least one thing needed: Extinguish the light.

Stretching her hand out, she turned her palm up and curled her fingers into a fist. The light-fixtures in the hallway's ceiling cracked, then shattered. Glass fell to the ground like frozen rain. In the wake of their destruction, the light-fixtures spewed a spray of sparks as darkness swallowed the hall in a singular blackness. She stepped out into the dark and let it swallow her.

The klantooian was finally let rest and casually tossed into hallway.

"They are coming."

Blue and green lights approached with a chorus of footsteps, and Ophidia slunk into the shadows.

"Wran!" -a voice cut through the rest, as a young boy stepped forward from the mass of approaching Jedi and stared into the dark hallway, looking for a culprit or staring with tears in his eyes if he saw one.

“Let them come. This will be their tomb soon enough.” Darth Cinis said looking next to him at Darth Ophidia before she disappeared.

He was just finishing setting his trap when a small boy called out to the dead Klatooinian at his feet. The Sith placed the last device into the wall before standing up and looking at the crying boy.

“Wren. Was that its. . . I mean his name?” Cinis asked with a prideful snicker. “Sorry I had to kill him. Here. Take this with my apologies.”

He threw an orb shaped object down the hall at the youngling with the force. A thermal detonator. Before they could catch it the device went off and the child was gone. Only fire and ash remained.

The grenade didn’t hurt anyone but the boy, though some Jedi were knocked off their feet from the shockwave.

“No!” one of the Jedi yelled, grieving the boy.

Then all the Jedi rushed at him. Cinis turned around and ran, making it look convincing. They let him lead them right into his trap. Grenades in the walls detonated, bathing six of them in fire and rubble. Debris and smoke filled the hallway, creating a smokescreen.

“Hahaha! So eager to join the boy!” Cinis mocked.

Any Jedi still standing would hear his voice, but see no trace of the Sith. He’d hidden his presence and rendered himself invisible through the force.

The rubble began to levitate, then flew at Darth Ophidia and Cinis. Even though they couldn’t see him Cinis had to flip, spin and jump to avoid the Jedi attack. A chunk of rubble almost killed him at one point, but it missed and the Sith force threw it right back to kill the sender instead.

“Son of a. . . Karking die!” Cinis cursed, in disbelief that they’d dared to throw anything at him.

While Cinis had his fun, Darth Ophidia had snuck to the rear of the group.

When the grenade was tossed to the padawan, she made her first strike: Drawing a simple vibroknife from a sheath on her leg, she grabbed a selkath by the mouth, keeping it shut as she thrust the knife into the base of its spine, then twisted. It was a quiet and instant kill as she severed the spinal cord and left the knife in the wound. Just as she stabbed, the serpent around her waist uncoiled and launched itself at the selkath's padawan; a nautolan. It coiled itself around the padawan's throat to cut off the air-flow just after it sunk its teeth into her eye.

A curved lightsabre-handle slipped into her hand and burst out in a furious hiss as she slashed a third Jedi in two from shoulder to hip. The red light and sudden assault brought attention to her as some of the Jedi turned on her. She lowered her sabre and invited them in, but they were distracted by the sudden explosion as some among them had walked into Cinis' trap and been blown to bits.

The explosion bought Ophidia a moment to disengage and slip back into the shadows while a disembodied laugh echoed behind her. The broken stone crashed and shattered against the walls behind where she had stood before some of the Jedi ran to pursue her.

This way, they split the jedi in half as Cinis and Ophidia moved in different directions. By retreating, Ophidia gave herself less opponents at one time and frustrated those that were just too slow to keep up.

Assassins did not fight fair.

Darth Cinis unsheathed one of his daggers, holding it in a reverse grip, ready to attack. He moved toward the nearest Jedi, pushed off the wall and stabbed the knife into his neck as he came back down. He stabbed the man a total of three times, blood spurted from the wound with each strike. The Jedi fell to his knees, then his face.

The young assassin moved onto the Jedi behind the first. He tossed his dagger to his left hand and slashed across their throat. The filth gurgled, trying to catch a breath as he suffocated on his own blood, then collapsed onto his side.

Then Cinis turned to the Jedi on his right and threw his knife between their eyes. He stared forward without blinking as he fell back.

Leaving the blade in their face Cinis reached for his lightsaber. The Sith then ignited it and reappeared in front of another Jedi. Before the Jedi noticed anything Cinis stabbed up through his jaw so the blade went out the top of his head. As he stabbed, he lifted the Jedi up off his feet with his blade before pulling it back out and summoning his dagger back to his hand.

He was really starting to enjoy himself.

Her body melted into the background as darkness swallowed her end of the hallway as she extinguished her sabre, leaving only the blues, yellows, and greens of the jedi's weapons. The disembodied cackle bounced from wall to wall, along with footsteps and stray shadows cutting through the blackness to disorient her opponents. They turned, dodged, and twisted away from the footsteps as they tried to locate her; they held their glowing blades out to illuminate their immediate vicinity. Two blue sabres crashed as two of the Jedi bumped each other and sharply turned with their blades in defence. They looked into each others' eyes, a smile creeping on their lips.

Then, smile turned to surprise as the hues of blue were cut with a sudden snap-hiss and a furious red. Ophidia's sabre pierced through one Jedi first, and with a sudden push, skewered the other as well. The blade then scorched its way out of their shoulders.

With a sudden turn she rolled her torso to duck under a yellow blade, and thrust up with the hidden blade on her wrist. The shikkar-blade shattered in the Jedi's throat as she brought her sabre into a parry against a green blade. With a flick of her wrist she pushed the blade aside and whipped it around in a riposte. It sheared through the Jedi's neck, leaving the head rolling off and bouncing off the floor.

"Better watch your back, my dears"

And with another disembodied cackle, Ophidia extinguished her blade and stepped into the shadows. Blades pierced through the exact spot where she had entered them, but no sound nor visual sign of injury came of it.

As he put his dagger back in it's scabbard three Jedi flocked to the red glow of his lightsaber. He adjusted his grip so his blade pointed behind him as a Falleen Jedi swung at him. Cinis collided his blade with their blue saber and pushed it out of the away.

Maneuvering his lightsaber back to forward facing grip he slashed it across the alien's gut. They grunted in pain before the crimson blade came back, stabbing in the chest this time. A look of fatal realizstion came across the Falleen's face. The Sith grabbed the Falleen's back, pushing the saber in deeper so it stuck far out his back. Cinis took his hand off his back to hit the Jedi's chest and push him to the ground as his blade came out.

The next Jedi stared at him with a look of righteous anger and pushed him with the force. As the assassin flew backwards it caught the Jedi behind him by surprise. Spinning around as he came down Cinis brought his saber down and cut them in half down the middle.

He turned around bringing his lightsaber over his head before bringing it down. It didn't touch the Jedi, but the force lightning coming out of it did. Cinis had his lightsaber specially made with Sith alchemy to channel the force in and out of it. As the Jedi convulsed from the shock his throat was gripped by the force. Cinis' fist clenched and their throat was crushed. The body fell to the ground as his blade went back into its hilt.

With that the hallway almost cleared of Jedi, though there was undoubtedly more further inside the building. Then the young assassin saw a fire, caused by his grenades.

"Lady Ophidia. I think we should get out of this particular hallway. . . I started a fire." Cinis said quietly over comms.

As Cinis called out his warning, Ophidia bumped into one of her two remaining opponents and left a small device in his pocket before slipping out of his range and away. She feinted a fall against the wall and pretended to be trapped as the other came for her. She moved this way and that, then made a swift kick upward. Her kick was nowhere near in range, and not really a kick at all; it was really more like a flick of her lower leg as she threw her snake, which had returned to her and coiled around her leg, into the jedi's throat.

The tsaisi bit in deep and coiled around his sabre hand. The plasma seemingly touched it to no effect as its black scales adopted the blue hue of the blade. Seizing the moment the second Jedi took to experience the moment, Ophidia activated the device in their pocket. There was a snap of energy that coursed through their body while Ophidia collected her serpentine weapon and coiled it around her waist. She then called the knife from previously to her hand and looked at the hallway filling with smoke.

It was tempting to leave the body there, shaking from the electricity as it was. No, she wouldn't chance it. With a casual flick of her wrist, she threw the vibrodagger into their gut.

"On my way."

A sudden shift of gravity took her as she denied the floor's ability to hold her and phased through matter. Falling through the floor without harming it, she landed on the floor beneath and dusted herself off just in time to hear the dull thud of a vibroknife exploding from an overloaded sonic emitter. The explosion was often a nasty sight, and the exploding vibroknife an old favourite trick of hers.

As he walked down the hall he saw Ophidia finish off the last two Jedi. He sensed danger and stopped in his tracks as one of them blew up in front of him. He shielded his eyes from the blast and blood spatter. Then he watched the Pale Assassin vanish through the floor.

"Whoa. I need to learn that." he said to himself. Then he opened comms and spoke to Lady Ophidia, "A little heads up on the explosives next time. You almost took me with that guy."

Despite covering it some blood managed to get on his face and even in his white hair. He wiped most of it off with his hands flicked it onto the floor. Grabbing both his lightsabers (http://imgur.com/a/Qokvrk9) he ignited them into the floor, cutting a human sized hole. Then he extinguished both blades and slowly lowered the circular piece of floor with telekinesis. He jumped through the hole and stood next to Ophidia.

Sensing Jedi nearby Cinis nodded at her before flicking out his hidden wrist blades. He would wait in the dark for them to stumble into the two assassins. When one came close he lunged forward and slashed up from gut to chest, breaking off a shikkar blade in them, before slashing the other across the man's throat. He grunted and gurgled as he died.

Then the younger assassin looked at the Rodian Jedi behind the first. Shooting his arm forward he stabbed his second shikkar blade into his ugly neck and then broke it off. He collapsed and grabbed the wound, trying to stop the bleeding. A smile crept across his face as Cinis sensed both the Jedis' pain. He ejected the broken blades from his gaunlets and replaced them as he waited for his next targets to present themselves.
