- Army Name: Death Watch (Kyr'tsad)
- Classification: Mobile Mandalorian Army
- Affiliation: The Sith Empire
- Army Symbol: The symbol of the Death Watch is the jai'galaar, the stylized symbol of a shriek-hawk native to Mandalore. This symbol has been passed down through uncounted generations dating back to Death Watch's founding and is still currently utilized by the Sith-aligned faction of the Death Watch. The jai'galaar often adorns pieces of armor, banners, and anything else related to the Death Watch.
- Description: The Sith-aligned faction of Death Watch was formed in the immediate aftermath of the Siege of Mandalore, where the members of various clans turned against their brothers and sisters to aid the Sith's conquest. Having thrown their lot in with the Sith, these Mandalorian warriors were organized under the leadership of Teyn Gratiir, Mand'alor the Conciliator. Far more extremist and ultranationalist than their contemporaries, this Death Watch had been willing to sell their metaphorical souls to place themselves into a position of power and authority on the shattered ruins of Mandalore.
Service to the Sith was viewed as a necessary component to rid the Mandalorian people of the weakness and decadence perpetuated under previous regimes. To that end, they fervently revered the image of Ra Vizsla as a hallowed and decorated figure, an individual who had brought them to the heights of greatness before successive leaders tarnished the Mandalorian identity. Though some questioned the wisdom in allying with the Sith, those voices were quickly silenced as their goals were swiftly achieved, doubt melting away to be replaced by stubborn confidence.
- Headquarters: Dromund Kaas
- Goals:
- 1) Reclaim Mandalore from the Mandalorian Union
- 2) Destroy all false Mandalorians
- 3) Cull the weak
- Reputation: The Sith faction of the Death Watch is universally reviled by their contemporaries. The majority of Mandalorians in the wider galaxy view them as little more than Sith puppets and creed-traitors, dar'manda. The Sith themselves view the Death Watch as a useful instrument in sowing chaos and division among the Mandalorians, particularly the Mandalorian Union, but do not intend to keep them around long if the Union is destroyed. Members of this Death Watch faction believe themselves to be the purest expression of the Mandalorian creed, the most able-bodied and true of conviction. Every other Mandalorian not inducted into their group are weak and decadent, not even worth the mantle of Mandalorian. They especially view the Mandalorian Union with utter vile contempt.
- Army Size: Medium
- Composition: Death Watch was organized into efficient and mobile battalions, each led by Death Watch commanders who oversaw five Death Watch companies each in turn led by Death Watch captains. These companies were comprised of four Death Watch kill-teams. Each of these kill-teams was comprised of five Death Watch commandos, although it wasn't uncommon to bolster kill-teams with additional commandos depending on operational severity and resource surplus. Each Death Watch company was further supplemented by auxiliary individuals such as medics, tacticians, and armorers, as well as various vehicles for rapid deployment and mobile maneuverability. These vehicles were typically fast-moving atmospheric gunships, speeder bikes, and interplanetary vessels such as Kom'rk-class fighter/transports.

Born from the ashes of war and treason, the Death Watch which aligned itself with the Sith Empire was the epitome of betrayal. Made up of Mandalorians who rejected the egalitarian ways of the other Mandalorians, they were intrinsically drawn into the clutches of the Sith. They stood side-by-side against their own vod, aiding the Sith in destroying the city of Sundari and subjecting Mandalore to Sith occupation.
For their efforts, they were rewarded with a privileged position in the new order that had been established. Exempt from the discriminatory laws passed by the Empire to destroy Mandalorian Culture, Death Watch flourished as they oppressed their former countrymen with ruthless efficiency. Members of Death Watch were even appointed as the guards and wardens of the labor camps the Sith used to imprison and exterminate the Mandalorian people, often taking part in the action themselves.
Through this, Death Watch garnered a terrible and vile reputation among the galaxy as the Sith's brutal lapdogs. Soulless monsters who had given up their own morality for power.
The Death Watch's era of supremacy came to an end after the Mandalorian Union launched a surprise attack on Mandalore while the Sith's eyes were elsewhere, liberating the world and killing a majority of the Death Watch's warriors. Those who survived were reorganized by the Sith as a mobile assault force, able to strike from anywhere within a moment's notice and slip away into the shadows just as quickly.
Many warriors of Death Watch were embittered by their defeat at Mandalore and vowed vengeance against the Mandalorians who had usurped them.
The Lords of the Sith were far too eager to grant them an opportunity to exact this vengeance.
