Description: Archangel Research and Design's newest project and design, meant to be their response to competitors advanced combat droids. the Decurion class combat droid acts as a light tank or advanced anti-infantry unit. Meant to defend key positions of installations or as a core unit of a combat squad on the battlefield, the Decurion type has a built in shield generator similar to that of the droideka unit, famously known for using such a device. Unlike the droideka though, the Decurion unit had much thicker armor plating and thus does not wholly need to rely on its shield projector. The Decurion also has a blaster cannon in addition to its twin MKI Bolters, though the bolters cannot be used while its shield is up. Nor is its shield as hardy for its size as the droideka's was for its dimensions.

I think you mean, if this is a droideka-type shield, that it can't use the bolters when the shield is up. Blaster cannon will work fine.
