- Well rounded and resistant - With the upgrade Dedata took the time to acquire better materials than the MK1 version. This time she went with the best protection she could offer her head and the components inside. With the use of Phrik and Graphene the helmet is able to not only absorb heat, energy and disperse electricity but also hold up to kinetic rounds.
- Info broker/Slicer's dream - With the care, dedication and weeks planning to fitting each component inside the upgraded helmet; it has more features than the previous version. One of the most notable new features is the introduction of Deda-net. The software is on each piece of hardware making them all seamlessly interact as well as makes the helmet near impossible to slice.
- Straw - Sliding the bottom part out a little will reveal an extendable straw. No more will Dedata have to hide under a blanket in public to drink or even try to slide a straw under a helmet. Those days are over!
- Weak against - While the design is well rounded for most styles of attack, there are attacks that offer no protection against. One being the force, with no real understanding of how the force works it is hard for the slicer to work out how to protect against it. The other is Disruptors, the shear devastating damage they out put would tear through the helmet.
- Blunt force damage - Anything with enough weight and power can dent and potentially crack the helmet or damage the internal components. An example of such a object would be some kind of war hammer or even being smashed against hard surfaces.
The MK2 Helmet has been a long awaited upgrade. After years of using a helmet that has been showing its wear and tear but has also been recently damaged slightly, now was the right time to pour days into the creation of the MK1's replacement. Like the first version the colour theme has not changed in sporting the ironical red, black and sinbad. However the look of the helmet has completely changed apart from the ears which house most of the hardware.
A lot of the the old components was moved over from her old helmet or replaced for better models that was also thinner. In the MK2 much better materials was used to not just protect Celty's head but also the components housed inside. With being on the go most of her ability is with that helmet, so it is important to protect her most important asset.
This version of the helmet is also the first time that Deda-net has been completely through every part. This minimizes time using more features while securing it from potential enemys who may be trying to slice into her gear. Without Deda-net their devices would not be able to register the language used along with the firewall fortress the software has to offer. Also with using Deda-net the helmet has access to the pre written Slicing codes that exist in the program which can be used through wireless means.
As for the most important upgrade of all. The extendable straw. Recently having now joined with the family she has been getting into increasing levels of socialisation, sort of. Having to thread a straw between her cheek and the helmet and wiggling it towards her mouth is not a pleasant sight though comical. Simply sliding the front part out till it locks a extendable straw can be pulled out so now she can enjoy any kind of beverage or liquid food.
