- It's Chaldean deerskin. That's it. That's the gimmick.
- Protection From the Elements: You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
- Mild Kinetic Defense: If you get hit or thrown while wearing it, it will hurt slightly less.
- And Nothing Else: Deerskin by itself won't really protect anyone on a battlefield, especially not where lightsabers and other exotic weapons are involved.
- Here Come the Vegetarians: This material is made from the skin of a cute animal. Some people may not like the implications of that.
Deerskin, sometimes referred to as buckskin, is a common material used to make clothing among the rural settlers of Chaldea. It provides extensive protection from the elements, keeping the wearer warm, dry, and comfortable. It also doesn't make much noise, making it ideal for hunters and trappers who don't want to spook their prey out in the wilderness. It is cheap to buy, as well as easy to make on your own, provided you have a license to hunt Chaldean deer.
