Defend Dromund Kaas from the Clockwork Rebellion!

The Clockwork Rebellion has attacked Dromund Kaas. While the droids that have emerged from Dromund Kaas are a force to reckon with themselves, they also have the ability to turn people into thralls of the vicious A.I. known as Omni. Plus, there is the threat of sleeper agents that had already been under the control of Omni.

If you wish to participate in the Clockwork Rebellion event, this is a great thread for your Sith characters to start in!

By the way, those that are going Clockwork should join the Clockwork Rebellion faction! Since this is a temporary event, you will not be removed from the Sith Empire's memberlist.

Also, any threads for the Sith not tagged with [CLOCKWORK] are not affected by the Clockwork Rebellion unless we have a consensus that we want them to.

I'll be joining. As my character is a mad scientist type, I'm going to try to collect clockwork droids and hack them. If it's cool with everyone I'd like to try and find a core/center and try to hack them and make them serve the Sith. As I'm an apprentice though, I'll need quite a bit of backup.

Most likely if you try to hack them you'll be infected, or at least that's what has been thrown around.

I'm okay with that. My character is to played as some kind of genius, and that's what he'd do in the situation. I'll be PMing mods whenever I do get to hacking them on what they think the best course of action is after that.

Here's an idea: the faction could try to come together to make a useful anti-droid weapon that even Sith could use. That could be one of the things we try to do in Clockwork threads. Then, we make the application to the Factory with a solid RP to base this tech off of.

I'm gonna be mac-guyvering something when I get into the Dromund Kaas thread. In short, it's gonna be a glove that emits an EMP wave that's powered by Force Lightning. Just make sure I don't die when I rendezvous with you and our Empress. I was planning on making it exclusive to myself, but if it helps the faction I could find a way to make it semi-mass producible.

Why not just use Sith Lightning? Now if you made it so it aplified it or something so that it goes out farther without strain and effects a greater area, that would be more useful.

Sith Lightning is more a stream, a constant streem. If I have wall of nanites using Sith Lightning will disable them each individually by overloading them in a slow process as you go deeper into the wall. EMP(Or Ion depending on the will of the mods) is more of a wave, and will pass through each nanite and pass through it onto the next without having to take time to focus on each one.

Actually, forget the science. I'll explain this in terms you understand. If I have a bowl of popcorn, sith lightning is like taking a stick of butter and rubbing it on each individual piece of popcorn until they're all buttered. EMP/Ion is like taking melted butter and pouring it into the bowl, it goes through and around the popcorn until it soaks up everything.
