The main aspect that sets Deilokin society apart from most of galactic society is the cultural significance of their techsuits. They are both a cultural staple and a sign of one's prestige. Of course, high end techsuits are a sign of wealth and power while low-tech and basic techsuits are meant for the lower class.
The Deilokin once lived a successful life of isolation on their homeworld of Deiloka until a catastrophic event cause the entire surface of the workld to be torn apart by constant natural disasters until the planet was entirely uninhabitable. Many attribute the events to the gross overmining of the planet to fuel the corpo's production machine. Others saw it as inevitable as things die eventually. Either way, those that were able to escape before their planet was destroyed, spread out into the galaxy, forming their own communities among the galaxy's populace. Their isolationist ways led to much conflict in the beginning, but eventually they were able to assimilate without much issue.
