---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Independent: She’s been on her own for a long time now, and prefers it that way. Less complicated.
+ Confident: Always able to pull off a cool and confident appearance, you need that in her line of work.
+ Reliable: Whether it’s noodles or spice, you’ll get what you asked for (in a reasonable amount of time).

- Selfish: She does little for anyone else.
- Insensitive: Feelings and empathy are not her strong suits.
- Stubborn: She has opinions and likes to stick to them

APPEARANCE:
Delaney is tall with a toned, athletic build. She has dark eyes, and slightly tan olive skin. She doesn’t like to fuss about her appearance, and cuts her own hair into a short, messy style. She makes decent money, but you would never know based on the way she dresses. She prefers all of her clothing to be worn out, casual and comfortable.

PERSONALITY:
She is very headstrong, stubborn and fiercely independent. Delaney has been on her own for along time and knows that she can’t trust anyone but herself. She tends to come off a bit indifferent and cold, she generally doesn’t care about the well-being of others (with the exception of close friends, if she had any).

BIOGRAPHY:

Mother: Aria Bale (Deceased)
Father: Quinn Bale (Deceased)

Delaney grew up on the rough streets of Nar Shaddaa, she learned from a young age that life isn’t fair and that you need to be tough to survive. When she was a child she figured that you needed to be the bully pushing other kids down, it was the best way to establish that you were strong (and to avoid getting any beat downs of your own).

Her father ran a small noodle shop that specialized in hand-pulled noodles and other simple dishes. It was called “Family Restaurant” for his own family, and because he wanted people from all walks of life to come in and have a meal together… like a family.

The Bale’s barely made enough money to keep them under a tiny roof, and often struggled to pay utilities. Quinn had developed a gambling addiction, and was running up debt all over town. He owed to loan sharks and a couple of gangs before Delaney’s mother found out, they were left penniless. Delaney’s father was soon killed by one of the gangs, incentive for them to pay back the rest of his debts quickly or else their deaths would be close at hand. Her mother relinquished their small family home and all of their belongings to help pay for the debt, and she continued to work at the restaurant.

Knowing that she needed to step up and help her mother pay back the debt, Delaney started running spice when she was 15. It was an easy gig for her, because she could navigate the streets mostly unnoticed. By the time she was 20, she and her mother had been able to pay the remaining debt back and were in the clear. However, her mother’s health had greatly declined. Delaney took over running the restaurant. She cared for her mother as best she could, but the medical bills were adding up and she was forced to obtain a loan to pay them.

After her mother passed, she became a spice dealer in order to pay back the loan from her mother’s medical care. Delaney decided to keep running the family’s restaurant, but felt that the name needed to change, as her family was gone. She decided on “Noodle House”, mostly because she was feeling unoriginal, and also because she lives in the upstairs portion of the restaurant. It's a small hole in the wall that's perfect for conducting business and making spice deals.

She makes a good living as a spice dealer, but still prefers living the life of a simple pauper. Why complicate life with things you don't need? It's also a great way to fly under the radar and avoid drawing unnecessary attention to her way.

Technically we're not a crew. Hal is a transporter for hire - and Del is an old friend. Also, Hal isn't a smuggler normally, he transports people who don't have another way, or want to stay off registered lists. I suppose it's a form of smuggling, but it's not his favorite job description.

The main reason for this is that people are inherently independent, and all those crews you like are actually all written by one person. Then they hire people to play those parts. When you try and get five or six people to operate specific jobs, you have to keep track of them, and motivate them to keep posting. It's like running a minor faction, because it essentially is. I have seen only a very half-decent group come around, and they too did not stay long.

This is why I don't do crews, and run solo. Easier to manage.

That being said - if you're planning a crew, I would suggest looking at one of my alts [member="K0VA"]
