- With heavy firepower being the primary concern for the Delita, the ship is equipped with the latest Aurora Industries' weapons in the form of multiple turbolaser batteries and turrets, mass driver batteries, ion cannons, and warhead launchers. This allows the Delita to have outsized offensive capabilities, and with the variable nature of Aurora weaponry, a powerful versatility.
- The Delita is also equipped with extensive defenses, with multiple layers of armored hull plating and multiple layers of shielding. This allows the ship to have enhanced durability when engaged in combat.
- In an improvement over the Archon, the Delita has a small hangar bay that can field a squadron of starfighters.
- While equipped with two Aurora Crest Drives, the heavier armor of the Delita has reduced its maneuverability.
- Utilizing the versatility of its weapon systems can result in a few issues with examples being overheating with the Leamondes and Salamands and ammunition concerns with the Gnoma Mass Drivers when switching between their firing modes too quickly.
- The crystal matrix that acts as the heart of the Maelstrom system, if damaged, will immediately kill the system and it will be unusable until a new one is installed.
The sixth warship to be designed for Aurora Industries' Phase III modernization program, the Delita-class Heavy Frigate is a replacement for the older Archon-class Heavy Frigate as an even stronger heavy frigate. The Delita, at 500 meters long, is designed to sustain heavy amounts of firepower while dealing even heavier amounts towards the enemy. Equipped with the latest weaponry the company has designed in heavy batteries and turrets, along with extensive armor and shielding, the ship is able to do exactly as the engineering team intended.
The ship has also been equipped with a Maelstrom targeting system and two Aurora Crest Drives to give it a decent amount of speed, even if its maneuverability is hindered by its heavier armor. A further improvement over the Archon is the small hangar bay that allows the Delita to field a squadron of fighter craft to give its commander greater flexibility in the field and a more mobile way to hit the enemy.
