- Elongated helmet for Libertas' lekku.
- Force enchantment.
- The suit shifts its colour from its 'parade colour' to a camouflage pattern that matches the terrain. This makes it harder to spot the wearer in the field.
- The armour is made of Phrik and thus lightsabre-resistant, making it able to withstand direct lightsabre attacks. The suit is very strong against ion, EMP and electrical attacks, protecting Libertas' cybernetic implants against their most dangerous hazard.
- The lekku of a Twi'lek is comically vulnerable to attacks. To protect Libertas' headtails, the armour has an elongated helmet. It features a shell where her lekku can be sort of rolled up in to protect it. It looks a bit like this.
- The armour has been enchanted with Sith sorcery. The effect of the enchantment lies in projecting an inspirational Force aura that bolsters the coordination, zeal, and fighting spirit of allies in its vicinity. Allied soldiers at risk of succumbing to fear or despair find themselves emboldened and filled with resolution. Coordination between allies is improved, even in the heat of battle, and they fight with greater ferocity. This can also shield them against mental manipulation, such as fear-based Force techniques. It has the opposite effect on enemy soldiers, though those with very strong willpower stand a greater chance of resisting. One could liken it to scaled-down, localised battle meditation. This means it cannot be used to influence entire fleets and armies, but then Libertas does not have those anyway.
- The armour is heavy. Libertas is a cyborg and thus able to bear the weight, but the armour prohibits sneaking around. It can be seen and probably heard coming. The armour has no special stealthy features other than adaptable camo paint and is thus not designed for sneaking around or covert infiltration. Libertas is already quite heavy and lacks agility due to her cybernetics and the armour exacerbates this further. This is something a more lightly armoured, agile opponent could exploit in combat. It can also make moving in certain types of terrain more difficult, such as swampy or muddy ground.
- Joints are more vulnerable to strikes as they lack heavy plating to ensure mobility.
- The enchantment means the armour has a Force aura about it. As a result, it is easier to sense through the Force. This makes it more difficult for Libertas to hide from other Force-users. The enchantment's ability to sap the morale, coordination and resolve of enemies can be countered in a number of ways, such as very strong will, being Force Dead or having a good mentalist handy. As with all Force phenomena, the Force enchantment will not work in a ysalamiri bubble or a similar Force null zone and Voidstone will mitigate its effects. Finally, the enchantment was created through Sith sorcery, which makes it a creation of the dark side. As a result, very powerful blasts of Force Light can disrupt it.
The somewhat dramatically named Deliverance Battlesuit was designed by Darth Libertas to provide her with protection in the fury of combat. Libertas is a cyborg with Phrik limbs and a breathing apparatus. These traits grant her significant advantages, such as superior strength, resilience and endurance, but also disadvantages. For one, she suffers from the standard machine weakness to ionic and electrical attacks. Her lungs have been replaced by a mechanical system not unlike the one used by Darth Vader.
This has some benefits, as she does not need to worry about being choked or drowning, but has weaknesses, too. It is good at maintaining her breathing, but the noise and continual action can be difficult to get used to. Moreover, it represents a clear weak spot if her cybernetics fail. This one is fatal. Libertas is clearly marked as a cyborg and thus not good at infiltrating. Furthermore, her head, torso and lekku are still organic and thus more vulnerable than the rest of her body.
The Deliverance Battlesuit helps with some of these problems, but not all. Rather than try to be an all-round suit, it focuses on protecting against some key dangers. For the rest Libertas relies on the Force and her cybernetic physiology. Particular emphasis has been placed on shielding her against hazards such as Force Lightning and all manners of electrical attacks that could easily be fatal to her, since she requires her cybernetics to not only move, but breathe. The suit accomplishes this through use of Reinforced Duraplast, as well as gadgets such as an ionization buffer. The suit has earthing rods to dissipate electrical discharge. Her torso is particularly well-protected to shield her breathing apparatus. Being made of Phrik, the armour is resistant to lightsabres, though repeated attacks at the same spot may get through.
The suit has a myriad support systems and can be interfaced with Libertas' cybernetics. The helmet houses a variety of gadgets. Eye movements and vocal commands shift through the data streams of the HUD. Alternately, Libertas can also use her cybernetic systems or technopathic talents to achieve this. She receives readouts on the state of her armour and her cybernetic body, making it easier for her to keep track of damage and needed repairs. The helmet's sensors and scanners provide the HUD with data on the surrounding area. It features an Active Penetrating Scanner, which is comprised of infrared, sonar, radar and x-ray scanners up to one hundred metres away. It is able to penetrate several walls of permacrete or duasteel. Other systems aid in acquiring targets when visibility is poor, such as when it is very dark, foggy or rainy.
The Multi-Spectral Target Assessor provides manifold data to improve her accuracy with ranged weapons. Examples would be height, current speed in regards to the user, range, range to target after a projectile's travel time and current direction of travel. However, it is only capable of being used on a small number of targets, about ten. Anything more and it has trouble tracking or sensing threats. Thus it is less useful in big crowds. The helmet's systems also help with long range targeting and provide information on potential targets. Libertas is able to interface these systems with her cybernetics. Moreover, an internal weapons' targeting system links the weapons' systems to display fire vector and range data to the HUD. It also places crosshairs in the field of vision of the user. The addition of a lifeform scanner allows Libertas to detect cloaked and otherwise concealed beings. Electromagnetic soles help her manoeuvre in in zero or light gravity.
The armour is big and bulky, making it poor at infiltration or sneaking. This is a general weakness for Libertas, but then she is a tanky Sith Warrior, not a spy. However, it is something a more agile opponent could exploit. The armour is less good at tanking heavy blaster fire or high-calibre, armour-piercing slug rounds. These stand a greater chance of penetrating or otherwise damaging the armour, making it necessary for Libertas to rely on other forms of mitigation. The armour can be hermetically sealed and has a temperature regular to ensure it can be used in any environment. Libertas has a breathing apparatus, but her organic parts would obviously still freeze and die if they were exposed to the vacuum of space without protection, which is why she has the armour. A thin layer of thermal gel helps out a bit against blaster and slugthrower attacks. Combined with foam sealant this allows small holes in the armour to automatically reseal assuming the damage is not too extensive. Furthermore, a power armour liner endows the suit with some protection to kinetic and blast impacts, along with heat, cold and corrosives.
Finally, the armour has been enchanted to produce an effect akin to localised battle meditation, as Libertas leads her own soldiers into combat. The enchantment does not further bolster the defensive attributes of the suit, but it serves an inspirational purpose by fortifying the minds and will of allies in vicinity to the wearer. Thus it increases their odds of surviving and coming out on top even in engagements where the odds are daunting. The enchantment does not instill mindless, drone-like obedience in those boosted by it, but then Libertas is not interested in that. After all, soldiers who act like unthinking automatons are stupid ones.
