SPECIES: Human
AGE: 20~ish
SEX: Female
HEIGHT: 5'1"
WEIGHT: 75.19 lbs (without prosthetics)
EYES: Light blue
HAIR: Naturally black, but usually dyed some random color.
SKIN: Pale
FORCE SENSITIVE: No
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
+Half Cybernetic: A lot of Dena'lyn's body has integrated mechanical prosthetics. Her entire right arm, left forearm and hand, and left leg are fully mechanical. As such, they're upgradeable and can be enhanced further than pure organic tissue.
+Tinkerer: Whether by pure talent or plenty of practice, Dena'lyn is a masterful engineer, spending a lot of her free time while travelling messing with her prosthetics, fixing up and upgrading old robotics, or tearing apart and reverse engineering broken tech.
+Trial by Fire: Growing up in a rough environment, she had to learn to survive. This taught her very essential skills in life, such as how to pick pocket, size up a mark, track people down, follow without being seen, disappear without being caught, and how to fight if she needs to. While she's not masterfully trained, against the average person, she could likely beat them in a hand to hand confrontation, and with the aid of her weapons and tools, she's more than capable of matching up against even the toughest of people.
=True Neutrality: A lot of people who are in the line of mercenary work or who sell themselves to the highest bidder secretly have a moral compass. Dena'lyn doesn't involve herself with morality. For the right price, she's willing to do almost anything for anyone, although she draws the line if it's too much of a negative impact towards herself. If she's equipped enough to handle a situation and the money is right, there's nothing she won't do.
=Tireless Loyalty: For the time that she is under the employ of someone, whether as a body guard, a mercenary, an acquirer of items, her loyalty is 100% dedicated to the money. The only way that would change is if it conflicted too heavily with her own safety; Dena'lyn is self destructive at times, but she isn't suicidal. If there is no way a task can be completed without her dying, she'll choose herself, but anything short of that and she's loyal. The same goes for those she truly considers her friends, at least until she decides to start pushing them out or ghosting. If a friend comes to her with a problem, she'll do whatever it takes to solve it.
-Half Cybernetic: While having mechanical prosthetics is a boon in many ways, they also limit her greatly. EMP's, Ion damage, remote hacking, or anything that can take out mechanical things can shut down half her body.
-Addictive Personality: Dena'lyn is a young woman consumed by her vices, who obsesses over anything she's into at the moment, and is predisposed to forming addictions to anything; drugs, alcohol, fighting, gambling, mechanics, tinkering, Dena'lyn is constantly filling her time and life with anything she can to the point of obsession, whether healthy or not.
-Frail Form: Reliant on her cybernetics for most of her life, Dena'lyn hasn't ever focused on her own organic muscles. Even before them, she wasn't a particularly athletic girl, and she's certainly no tank. Low pain tolerance and easily injured, the parts of Dena without robotics are weaker than the average person. She's focused primarily on using robotics, tools, and weapons to enhance herself rather than her own physical skills. As a hand to hand combatant and stripped of her gear, Dena'lyn likely wouldn't last long against any reasonably trained opponents.
-Selfish to a Fault: Having spent most of her life looking out for herself in a rough environment, Dena'lyn has learned that the only person she can rely on is herself. As such, even among friends she's only particularly concerned with her own safety. She often pushes people who she spends a lot of time with away before they can get close enough to hurt her, even if there was no sign of problems, and has run from and ghosted almost anyone she's ever been close to. At the end of the day, she only cares about getting paid and staying alive. Still, almost paradoxically, she's the biggest torment to herself, the self preservation seeming to disappear when it comes to gambling away all her money and over consumption of drugs and alcohol.
APPEARANCE:
Dena'lyn is a smaller, blue eyed woman with a slender frame. Standing at an imposing 5'1", most people that she meets are a lot taller than her, but that's served its purpose in her life quite well. Quite thin, for a long time it was because food was scarce. When she began to get steady access to food, it became the drugs and unhealthy habits that kept her thin. When she's clean from anything untoward, she's still naturally thin, although in a more healthy looking way.
Her hair is usually dyed a random color, always shaved on the sides and back, leaving a neck length amount on the top draped over to one side. Her right ear is heavily pierced, while her hair usually covered her left ear, which only has one stud in the lobe.
Uniquely, roughly a quarter of her body is mechanical. Her entire right arm, her left arm from the elbow down, and entire left leg are entirely mechanical, although she usually has any parts that would be exposed covered in fake skin or smooth paneling so as to hide those particular features of her.
Day to day, she wears a lot of long dark clothes comprised of random leathers, combat boots and tight fitting cargo or utility pants and carries several blasters on her at any given point in time.
BIOGRAPHY:
When she was young, Dena'lyn had been a happy girl, with a family who travelled from space port to space port. Her parents ran a small company (if you could call it that) that bought up entire scrap heaps from random planets, and then refurbished from them what they could, reselling the pieces that they could, using parts to fix other items that they'd acquired, occasionally taking in repair requests for droids or ships, and supported their life of travel using the funds they acquired through that manner.
It wasn't the most glamorous life, but Dena'lyn had spent enough time around the family business when she was a kid to really pick up a knack for small time tinkering young. It wasn't a passion of hers by any means, but she enjoyed passing the time helping her family fix things up and so spent a lot of time with her family. Unfortunately, the sort of life that her family lived wasn't super conducive to her making a lot of friends, or settling down anywhere for a proper government based education, but they all made due.
When Dena'lyn was 12, a request to offload a scrap heap to the Price's came through, seemingly like any other. The problem was, this particular shipment wasn't properly vetted, and some of the materials were volatile. When her family was picking it up, something in the shipment exploded, causing major damage to the surroundings. As the Price's tended to pick up shipments as a family, as the company was still small enough that they were all needed, they were all in attendance. Her parents were lucky enough to be vaporized by the blast, not having to suffer any, while Dena'lyn was lucky in a different regard.
The explosion caused major damage to her body, but most of it was recoverable. Unforunately, she lost several limbs, but with the medical attention she received, was able to make a full recovery despite that. Her parent's company funds were used to pay for her medical bills, but were only enough to provide her the most basic functional mechanical prosthetics. It had to pay for several other employee's bills though, and the tragedy bankrupted the company fully, shelling out everything it had in the process, leaving Dena'lyn with virtually nothing.
-----------------
Left with nothing and newly orphaned, Dena'lyn was set to go to an orphanage on Coruscant, but she slipped out of the hospital on Balmorra and snuck onto a freighter that was bound for a different planet. Eventually she found herself on Corellia, where she'd spend the next few years of her life honing new skills and learning to survive on her own.
With plenty of spacers, plenty of unsavory types, and lots of travel in and out of the planet, people didn't tend to stick around long enough to notice when things went missing. When a pickpocket went wrong and she was noticed, it was also easy enough to disappear into a crowd before she got caught. For several years, that was her life, simple pick pocketing, occasional raiding of ships as they dock, and other such actions. Everything good eventually came to an end though. One of her marks was eventually going to go wrong, but her luck held out.
After a failed pick pocket attempt, Dena'lyn fled, disappearing into a crowd, before attempting to hide out. After a length of time and several directional changes, zipping through alleys, and shaking any followers from her tail, she had assumed she was safe. Upon exiting her hiding spot she was shown to be wrong. The mark had been a travelling Duros man, but he'd developed his own skills throughout life. Rather than anger though, he seemed to be impressed with her skills, and took an interest in her for a time.
The Duros man was named Cor Lag, and apparently he was an accomplished mercenary and bounty hunter. Since he was on Corellia for a job, and Dena'lyn had been there for a couple of years and knew the area, he made her his guide for the time being. It likely wasn't necessary, but it gave him a reason to keep her close and offer some training to the girl. Providing her a blaster, he began to teach her how to shoot, some basic hand to hand combat skills so she wasn't totally defenseless, and the two of them grew close for a time. It had been the first time in a while that Dena had had a mentor figure.
Cor had been contracted to track someone down, and Dena'lyn had been eager to prove herself, so she assisted in his mission, ultimately leading to a success. Cor set her up with some contacts if she ever wanted to get into the business of mercenary work, ultimately having to move on from the planet. He didn't want to take her with him though, not needing the responsibility of another person.
She wouldn't say it, but being abandoned by him after he trained her and she'd gotten close affected her fairly badly. There was a long downward spiral for the next few years, where she focused primarily on honing her skills, getting into trouble, and fixing up some junk machines she'd been working on.
