Depths of Nar Shaddaa.....[Training]

Location: Depths of Nar Shaddaa
...he was never particularly skilled when it came to the force, usually relying on basic and obvious powers, but Ordan Vosk recognized the necessity of learning to manipulate the force better so that he could become more effective in combat and the other applications that he could use it for. Unlike Jedi, and even some Sith, Ordan did not learn about the force as a way to explore himself and evolve in a spiritual sense but so that he could become more powerful. It was likely because of this limited application of the force that the man would never learn the finer points of force manipulation but this mattered little to him. He wanted to crush everything around him and the most basic utilities of the force would allow him to do that without having to dedicate himself to the deeper mysteries...

...on Nar Shaddaa, the Vertical City, Ordan had made his way deep into the depths where he only needed to worry about meeting the absolute dredges of society and even then it was much of a worry for the man. He'd come alone and found himself in what was essentially a large underpass filled with pillars that were cracked and starting to give way to the pressures of time, the air was moist and condensation had caused droplets of water to drip down from the high ceilings and fall into murky puddles below...

...Ordan stood, alone, across from one of the pillars trying to focus. He positioned his hands inches apart ahead of himself at height with his midsection and concentrated, his eyes narrowed and his brow was knit with tension, he could feel the currents of the force shifting between his palms but it required focus and that was difficult for Ordan to maintain. Outstretching his arms quickly Ordan tried to snap them outwards in a quick motion and force push a concussion burst outwards towards the pillar that was directly ahead of him...

...a burst of concussion force began to form in Ordan's hands but as they outstretched it dissipated only a short distance away from him causing the man to frown...
"Feth!"...he called out loudly, irritated with his performance, Ordan had managed to create small force bursts before with enough strength to topple droids and men but anything stronger seemed well and beyond him which was not pleasant. It was then as Ordan was shaking his head that he heard something in the background, turning his head so that he could look over his shoulders he'd stare quietly, and looking he'd eventually see the silhouette in the darkness...

...only a rodent but its yellow, sickly, eyes were staring back at Ordan who'd smirk before he noticed that the first pair of eyes were starting to be joined by several others at which point, frowning, Ordan would start to clue in that it might not have been a wise idea to come down here into the depths of the Vertical City. Then again maybe this was exactly what the man needed and with a smirk forming he'd have said...
"Well come on. Dinner bell is ringing."...before waiting as the vermin started to chatter at him and then slowly began closing in towards their prey...

...the rodents started to close in, encircling Ordan who wasn't in much more than fatigues, and reaching behind himself the Enforcer would pull a durasteel knife out of his belt before brandishing it defensively. Well that was it, it was a waiting game and Ordan didn't need to wait long, the first of the feral rodents leapt at Ordan and he skewered it on his knife letting the creature leap right onto the blade but the rest that followed were a different story. There must have been a dozen of them all leaping onto him, scratching and clawing and biting, causing Ordan to lose his balance and fall backwards where a loud SPLASH was heard when he hit the bottom...

...landing in a puddle Ordan hissed as one of the vermin bit him on the face, right on his lip, and started to pull causing him to wince. There were others all over his body and reaching out as he thought he might start feel the darkness start to close in Ordan cried out..."NO!"...before locking one of his hands around the creature biting at his face and squeezed it shut. The Vermin squealed, its ribs snapped, and Ordan crushed it flat with his hand causing the vermin to lose its entrails from both ends and die a particularly gruesome death. Ordan could feel the force flowing through his hand just then, enhancing him physically to the point he felt himself surging with an unnatural amount of strength, and reaching with his hands he start to rip all the creatures that were biting at him away...

...even his skin started to feel harder, like granite, and the vermin were having a more difficult time biting and pulling at his flesh. He reached for several more, pulling some of them off and hurling them away, crushing them as he tore at them until his own body started to become covered with a mixture of their blood as well as his own from earlier. Ordan climbed back onto his feet, shaking himself this way and that, trying to rid himself of the rest of the creatures but they'd all latched on to him with frenzied vigor and it was proving impossible for him to get them off no matter how hard he'd twist in one direction and then the other...

...reaching for more of the vermin Ordan would pull a few more off, one of them bit his ear and he still felt a piece of his flesh being torn right off before he caught the creature, hurling one of them against a pillar and crushing its body with the force of the throw which left a red splatter in its wake as the lifeless body fell to the ground...

...it wasn't enough though, numbers were what the vermin had in their advantage and they were relentless and more of them were coming, Ordan sunk to a knee as more of the creatures started piling onto him..."Feth."...he muttered, a deep burning felt in the pits of his chest..."FETH!"...and then he exploded...

...as the fire inside of Ordan grew and he yelled out loudly the force burst out all around him in an eruption of concussive power that hurled all of the rodents off of him and in all directions while energy crackled all around him and he rose back into a crouch and then onto his feet filled with energy. Opening his mouth he called out loudly..."FETH!"...then looked at all of the broken bodies his eruption of the force had caused, it shouldn't be a surprise really as all of his most successful applications of the force had occurred during combat, and whipping his hand out he'd have sent another wave of power out towards some of the vermin that were regrouping...

...the force push wasn't exactly deadly but it hurled the vermin in all different directions as they tried to regroup after Ordan had thrown all of them off of him. He looked around himself quickly noting that others that hadn't been killed or incapacitated from his force burst were also starting to regain their composure and come back in for another assault. In all the commotion he'd lost his knife as well but he didn't dare reach for it and leave himself open. The Force would need to be his weapon now as the vermin came back in for him and without hesitation Ordan would actually meet their unyielding attack this time...

...with the power he'd summoned still surging through his limbs he'd charge in as the vermin came for him again and when his fist hit the first of them he'd feel its body start to cave in, dead, before he crushed his foot down on another of the creatures reducing it pulp underneath his boot. He felt so strong as the moment, his body harden to a point he couldn't even imagine normally, and the battle for survival had become his tempest of brutality and focus and Ordan smashed his way through the creatures that had come to devour him. Another of the rodents fell to one of his fists and yet one more after that and then a third but there were still so many with no signs of stopping...

...Ordan looked like he might have been through a meat grinder with pieces of his flesh having been bitten off but he kept on fighting, kept on killing, and kept on calling on the force to fuel the strength in his limbs. Yelling, cursing and swearing the entire time. As another wave of vermin started to come at him he'd unleash another force push, more powerful than the last, and live a wave of invisible might it hurled the vermin to all sides until colliding with one of the pillars that filled the area causing it to spiderweb when it finally came to a halt...

...success would be short lived if Ordan didn't act fast. Looking down he saw what looked like a cudgel, a length of wood with a thick knot on one end, on the ground near his feet and reaching for it quickly he'd raise it over his head before the weapon became enveloped in a slow burning translucent cloak that shimmered and pulsed. No telling what this was but Ordan didn't hesitate to hold it over his head threateningly and ready to crush a few skulls with it...

...the cudgel was primed over Ordan's head, he knew what it was but he'd only been able to transmit the power of the force to an object for a short time before and usually under a similar duress, and had become a force weapon augmenting it to an extent as well as giving it certain immunities. The Vermin came in and Ordan swung the cudgel downwards braining the first creature that came at him, its brain was mush, and then he started into a routine of swing the cudgel wild while also weaving it into a pattern to keep the vermin at bay. By now Ordan had started to get tired, he was sweating, and his muscles were burning even with the enhanced amount of strength granted to him be the force...

...
"Come on just a little bit longer."...he muttered through gritted teeth as he came forward and smacked another critter with the cudgel causing it to squeak and then fall, dead, onto the ground at his feet. Hissing Ordan looked back behind himself. One of the vermin had clamped onto his calf and he started to lose his footing again but bringing the cudgel around in a rising arc that brought it over his shoulder and then back down behind himself the creature was smashed and utterly brutalized. There was no reprieve after that as the last of the vermin came at Ordan and he whirled around, throwing several of them off and into the pillars, while planting the thick knotted head of the cudgel into others destroying them. The Force Weapon was still crackling with a bit of energy, shimmering with the aura that had cloaked itself over it, but it had slowly started to fade the more exhausted Ordan became...

...it was time to do or die and Ordan had no intention of dying. He swung the cudgel, crushed the skull of another critter and then, his hands slick with the bile and blood of the dead as well as from himself, the cudgel slipped from his grasp and he was left weaponless. It didn't matter though. Ordan grabbed with his hands, crushing the vermin, and he even bit down on one he'd captured, ripping a chunk out of it, before dropping it dead onto the ground as he flailed wildly. More of the vermin died, Ordan's vision was blurry, but he fought on and the force continued to fill his limbs and then he fell down onto his knees and it was over...

...he had no idea when he'd killed the last one or the others had left but Ordan knew that he was alone again and looking around himself he saw the dozens of bodies all around him. An exact number was beyond him and he didn't care enough to count them all but he had triumphed here in the darkness, the underbelly of Nar Shaddaa, and remaining down on his knees Ordan started to breath easier. He could feel the force slowly leaving his limbs, the strength it had added to his body was receding, and he'd raise his head and look around himself, waiting, catching his breath...

...he didn't get up off his knees for a long time, contemplating the fact that it had been a different kind of lesson than the one he had planned on when he came down here to train, before rising back up onto his feet and flexing his forearms, tensing his hands, while he continued to scan all around him and ensure that he was alone. Looking around himself he'd find the cudgel he'd lost his grip on and move over to retrieve it, hefting it up in his right hand, before grunting out..."Think I'll keep you. You worked pretty well."...and giving it a few swings, it was definitely solid and the knotted head was damp with the blood of the vermin that Ordan had used it to kill...

...nothing quite like this feeling Ordan was starting to understand. He looked at the pillar he'd spiderwebbed with the force push which hurled several of the vermin aside and blinked having not noticed it before...
"Well that's new."...and then keeping a hold of the cudgel he'd have reached out again. Unlike when he'd been alone Ordan would draw on that fire in his chest, the will to survive and kill and draw on that primal spirit as he began manipulating the force around him slowly before unleashing it. It worked too. Not as well as it had when he was in an actual life threatening situation of course but as Ordan whipped his hand out it still happened...

...the force push extending from his hand would hit the pillar he'd spiderwebbed earlier and cause several of the cracked pieces to fall to the ground while Ordan looked on with a satisfied expression falling across his features...
"Well it's about time."...he said before coughing slowly and then taking a breath. He looked like he'd been through hell with small chunks of flesh taken out of him, he was bleeding and his clothes were stained with blood, and the crimson that stained his body. He knew it too. Letting his neck crane to one side Ordan would have eventually heard a small crack and feel a bit of relief seeing as how his body had tensed up quite a bit and then he'd start to stride out into the darkness...

...
"Need to get one of those Jedi weapons too."...he'd have said, he was talking about a lightsaber of course, but right now the cudgel he carried with him would do just fine. As he strode out of where he'd been, leaving the bodies of all those dead vermin in his wake, Ordan would commit this experience to memory, he'd remember everything he'd learned tonight, so that he could draw on it in the future. There were some lessons that were painful and he hurt, he hurt a lot, but every lesson was worth it in the end and Ordan would continue to train and expand his understanding of how he could manipulate the force around him, inside of him...
