- Derumium Based- the derumium components create an energy reaction akin to that of modern deflector shieds producing a red energy field that prevents energy from hitting its wielder.
- Crescent generator applies this protection to ships, speeders, and defensive structures with it installed and interfaced with the systems of the larger machines utilized by Derumic Androids.
- Force Radiance- the Sith Alchemy used in the making of all Derumium based technology has applied to this technology as well. Force sesntives nearby can feel a radiating sensation of the Dark Side when this shielding technology is activated.
- Resistance- the reaction in the Derumium makes this shield technology incredibly effective at protecting against energy and most kinetic projectiles.

- Irreplaceable- if a piece of this technology is destroyed beyond repair, there is not enough Derumium left to make another to replace it.
- Too Effective Energy Shielding- the Derusphere Shielding technology is so effective at resisting energy damage that may even deflect shots fired from the protected asset.
- Ships, vehicles, and-or defensive structures using the large field generator would have to lower their shields on the side where they are firing from in order to effectivley damage a given targeted enemy.
During the development of the Derumium based technologies utilized by the ancient Sith Lord, Akhuul Sautra, before the eruption of the Great Hyperspace War, this shielding technology was invented as a means to have a greater shielding affect to ships he would deploy against his enemies, speeders used on ground assaults, and even if the great station of Sautra Vokh was assaulted by his rival Sith Lords. By using the derumium found on planet of Sautra Vokh, the Derusphere shielding technology was able to surpass shielding technology of the time by far, yet is now equivalent to modern deflector shields (modern times referring to time of making post). The one issue was he was surrounded by those who perceived him as a threat in the great power struggle that came after the death of Marka Ragnos. Both sides wanted to neutralize his potential to threaten them, and as a result the technology was never tested in battle.
After Akhuul fled Sith space on the space station of Sautra Vokh, he had all the ships and speeders posessing the shielding technology so they would all be stashed in the hangar bays of the massive station as it hid on the edges of the galaxy. The technology of the large field generator was designed to soley interface with ships, vehicles, and defensive structures made by Akhuul's estate, and all that technology being hidden on Sautra Vokh makes it nigh-impossible for it to be abused by the greater galaxy.
