Let Me Push That Button
Corporation Name: Desert Coat ArmsHeadquarters: Tatooine
Locations: Mos Eisley
Owner: Jerif Berin
Tier: 1
Operations:
Jerif has owned Desert Coat Arms ever since it was passed down to him by his father, Neil. The corporation, if one could even call it that, has been in operation for two generations now and will likely continue on through the next one.
Originally founded during a time in the galaxy when fear of the Gulag Plague was still rampant, Desert Coat Arms functions as little more than a custom blaster creation and repair shop. Though DCA puts out a few products that they themselves create, their real market is in modifying, repairing, and recreating older blaster designs for selling within the markets of Tatooine. Though the business has never been successful enough to make the Beirn family rich, the company has seen enough revenue over the years to keep them afloat.
Description:
Desert Coat Arms is by all accounts barely a corporation.
To call it as such would likely make the owner and operator laugh quite a bit. In reality this 'corporation' is a small shop located on the outskirts of Mos Eisley that has sat unchanged for well over a hundred years.
The actual building that DCA is located in is much like every other building in Mos Eisley. It is made of simple rounded limestone, holds barely any edges, and looks entirely unassuming. The inside of the shop is much the same as the outside, though weapons racks line the walls and blaster parts sit on nearly every counter top. There is an ancient IG-100 Magnaguard that stands by the door acting as a guard, and old man Jerif can usually be found within the front of the store behind the counter, his fingers working delicately on whatever project he currently fancies.
The back of the store is a little bit more laid out.
The workhouse section of the store is where Jerif's son and his two laborers actually work. It is here that DCA creates most of it's customized weapons, crafting one off Blaster's, Rifles, and even disruptors. Though they have a few standard designs that they are capable of making within a day or two, most of their weapons are simply created on demand by customers.
The weapons they create have excellent worksmanship, being carefully crafted and hand-made. Blasters and other weapons from DCA tend to have a more personal touch about them, and unlike factory stamped clone cut outs they also have a bit of heart. These weapons, Jerif says, tend to be a little bit more accurate, hit a little bit harder, and last a lot longer than those designed by Blas-Tech, Vanir Technologies, or any other cookie cutter weapons manufacturer.
There is a great amount of pride that sits within a weapon made by DCA, and that is more than clear in the weapons they create and repair.
