To say ryana stood out like a sore thumb was an understatement her Jedi robes wherent exactly common on tatooine and when they where it probably had galactic ramifications hopefully this wouldn't be one of those times. As she stood in one of the shops she was renting a speeder to get to one of the moisture farms they where having issues with tuskens and had asked people in town to help and she just so happened to be here getting repairs for her ship which was making a terrible noise. "Thank you sir" she said speaking to the young rodian with the key to the speeder she was going back to coruscant from a mission to the outer rim she heard from the farmers that another had accepted to help and she whent off to meet them at where the speeders where located. She waited for their approach.

A posting on some bounty guilds spoke of raiders causing trouble for moisture farmers on Tatooine, usually they were Tusken raiders that were causing issues since Tuskens held their own issues with the moisture farmers and other residents of Tatooine. For that reason, Cedwyn would usually avoid contracts like this, he would not be pulled into a dispute on territory war on who owned the rights for the water and whether the Tuskens were in the right to fight back or if they were wrong for disrupting the lives of others wishing to just get on with their lives on Tatooine. It was a debate that no one really came out well from, and the pay for such jobs was never that significant enough to be worth it.

When this job appeared, Cedwyn could help but take notice and feel drawn to it. Something about the way it was read, the fact it was advertised at a couple guilds, it was different. It wasn't just Tuskens causing trouble and that meant it was something else that was causing issues for the farmers. Something that Cedwyn could and would get involved in.

Landing the ship, Cedwyn stepped outside to the blistering heat of the desert world. It was always a sudden shock to his system. He had taken note of the meeting point, suspecting that there could be others that were hired to take on the task. When he arrived, he noticed a red Twi'lek, she was a fair bit younger than himself, very attractive and very clearly a Jedi.

"What brings a pretty young Jedi out to the sticks like Tatooine?" Cedwyn chuckled deeply, waiting patiently by the speeders.

Ryana walked up she was the first as she checked over the speeders seeing if they where travel ready. They where fortunately she had fortunately left the heavy brown cloak on her ship her robes where made in a way to compliment her form and the sides beside her legs where cut so she could move freely. as she stood there she heard a voice walking up he was clearly hitting on her as she looked at him.

Giving him a non amused stare back "that's the best you got stranger if that's your attempt at flirting I've literally heard better from a hutt" she said teasingly "and if you must know my ship was having troubles so I landed and heard about the moisture farmers problem and decided to help" she said as she stood there looking at him " so what brings an armed old man out here besides to use bad flirtation" she said with a smirk.

Cedwyn chuckled deeply, he shook his head. "Oh, I was just paying you compliment. If I was truly attempting to flirt with you, then I would have put in a bit more effort." Cedwyn shifted a step closer to her, towering over her in his large muscular frame. One that had been forged in the flames of combat, torture and strict hard training regime. "However, I am glad that you have heard more pleasant lines from a Hutt, must mean that they are being much more polite than I last saw of them." He gave a hearty chuckle, giving the Jedi a wink before taking a step back.

"Ship trouble? Bad place to have them here, Jawas likely be looking to scrap your ship for parts if you are gone too long." Cedwyn mentioned, even a healthy ships Jawas tended to scrap to hell. It was infuriating. "I heard about the moisture farmers as well, it didn't sound like Tusken Raiders either, something that drew my attention. Done much work as a Jedi?" Cedwyn was curious if she was a Knight, too young to be a Master. She could be a Padawan, which be tricky to work with.

Ryana smirked "sure you would have big guy I'll believe it when I see it" she said teasingly she wasn't trying to tease or be overly pretty. It was what she was used to being flirtatious and being in attractive clothing so she didn't pay it much mind or any at all as she straddled her hover bike. Listening to cedwyn talk she wasn't intimidated by his size at all she brushed it off she had dealt with gamoreans, hutts and other criminal types basically all her life she knew how to read people well.

He was just trying to give idle chatter "not really when he bought you and paraded you around in a metal bikini for his own amusement" she said as she leaned forward onto the bike. She winked back as she sat there "I'm not worried I luckily landed in a mechanics shop before anything serious happened to the ship or mechanics shop" she said sitting there she would like to get this done but there was no harm in Being friendly with the man as she saw it more friends out in the galaxy the better.

She thought about what he said about the raiders "it really doesn't sound like them but until we know more I figure we go off the assumption that they are tuskens hopefully it will be simple so it gets resolved but if it gets complicated hopefully we can handle it" she said "and I'm a Padawan hopefully that's not an issue" she asked looking at him.

Cedwyn chuckled and shook his head, "you won't see it. I know when I am too old for someone, got enough self respect to not be preying on younglings."

"Aye, Hutts can be scum like that. Always surprising when they are leading gangs. Since they tend to be so focused on self-indulgences that you think someone would step up and take them down a peg." Cedwyn place a hand on the speeder bike as she leaned forward. She was displaying an attractive figure but Cedwyn kept his eyes focused on hers, not letting himself get distracted. "Well, be careful, mechanics around here are scam artists as well. Tatooine is not home to generous, selfless people."

Shaking his head, "I wouldn't be here if it was Tuskens. That is a simple territory dispute. Something that is handled by the farmers for the most part. This job was advertised in several guilds. Means there is more to this. Likely raiders of a different kind, or a matter that is more dangerous, like a Krayt dragon. We'll know more once there for sure but don't expect things to be simple, always think worse case scenario so you are always prepared. Better to over prepare than under." It was advice he lived by as a bounty hunter.

"Padawan, huh?" Cedwyn sighed internally, it was someone likely to hold him back. "Follow my lead then. Guessing you ain't got many field experiences with missions and best to let me be lead." Cedwyn wasn't being forceful with the suggestion but he was leaving almost no room for debate, he was much more use to this work and was the experienced one out of the two in fighting abilities.

He then moved to his own speeder bike and jumped on. Revving the engine, he turned to Ryana. "Let's see if you can keep up." He teased before he launched forward on the bike towards the farmer's homestead.

Ryana smiled at least he was honest about being to old for her "well at least your honest about it most men I've known wouldn't have stopped trying to get into my pants" she said Sitting on her hoverbike.

His assessment of the hutts wasn't off "true but when their money pays your bills and their connections with other criminal types make them untouchable for most people unfortunately" she said sitting back up ready to ride. "I'd rather deal with a scam artist then Jawas at least scam artists can be careless" she said jokingly but she was good at reading people and their intent even if she didn't trust them.

"Well hopefully it's raiders otherwise I don't think either of us is well equipped enough to deal with a krayt dragon even if their pearls make excellent lightsaber crystals and go for a fortune" she said she was being pragmatic but all was as the force willed it as the Jedi say.

As he spoke she knew she wasn't the most experienced in combat seeing it written on his face also when he took charge. She would let him do so for the mission and their own lives she luaghed at his challenge and revved her own engine. "Your so on" she said as she spes up to catch him.

"Ha!" Cedwyn chuckled deeply, "I can believe that some guys are like that. Unfortunately, not everyone is as honest with themselves as I am."

Ryana did not seem confident in handling a Krayt dragon and Cedwyn chuckled. "If it is a Krayt dragon that we are dealing with, then we need to be prepared. Always prepare for the worst, remember that. And there are ways to handle such issues." Cedwyn had already thought of ideas and such.

He was racing forward in the desert, not holding back as he allowed Ryana to follow behind him. Cedwyn was driving with skill and precision, he was not a racer but he had practiced in case racing was ever an option to pursue when he left the life of the Sith behind. The Force helped him race around faster than most humans, shifting forward fast and hard.

Eventually Cedwyn arrived at the moisture farm. "Right, let's find the owner and find out what the situation is." Cedwyn stated, not too concern who won the race, since it was just a way to help Ryana relax a little.

"A merc who isn't full of themself you must be one of a kind" she joked with him as they rode with him towards the moisture farm she kept up with him letting him have the lead.

As she rode with him she listened to him speak "I'm more worried about potential collateral damage to the farmers then harm to myself but we will just have to be careful no matter what we're no use to anyone dead" she said it sounded grimmer than how she meant it but she was being honest.

She continued to keep up with cedwyn as he raced to the farm she wasn't a racer but she knew how to handle a speeder bike all the same even she wasn't trying to win she was here to help these people having cedwyn as help was a huge boon this would have been difficult by herself or at least potentially more difficult anyway.

As they both parked she followed him "I doubt it but let's hope it's just tuskens I know how to talk to them and can solve this without violence hopefully" she said as they reached the door she knocked.

A middle aged man answered the door "hello you two must be here for the notice come in" he said as ryana looked a cedwyn then walked in. The man showed them to a table as he sat down and motioned to either side the table each had a stone bench ryana sat down "so what's going on?" She said sitting there the man looked at her and then at cydwen "I inherited this place from my aunt who disappeared recently under mysterious circumstances and now there are tuskens appearing trying to scare me off" he said.

"I only moved here because I had no other choice and have no where else to go and this farm is one of the larger moisture farms in the region" he said worried. "if either of you have any questions I'll answer them to the best of my abilities" he offered sitting there.

"I just know where my talents lay and where I might suffer weaknesses." Cedwyn confessed as he did not think low of himself or think highly, he knew who he was and was just content with that fact about himself.

Cedwyn shook his head, "always worry about harm to yourself. Can't help anyone if you was fatally wounded or if you end up in terrible condition. Get yourself killed or severely injured and you risk the lives of others who might try to help you or save you." Cedwyn warned, he was not informing her to be selfish or not be selfless, just mindful of not getting herself into more trouble than she could handle and doing more harm than good through self sacrifice.

"Tuskens are not easy to talk with. Knowing their language is not sufficient. To them, this is their land and their right to harm trespassers, especially since moisture farmers are stealing from them in their minds." Cedwyn warned, he knew about Tuskens and their ways, it had been taught to him when he was learning about the galaxy as a young Padawan and he learnt more when he took missions based on Tatooine and had to deal with them due to conflicts that were caused. It was why he gave up working on this desert world.

Cedwyn did not take a seat, he studied the man, curious. The aunt had been taken away. "How are these Tuskens attempting to scare you off?" There was something more to this, he could feel it in his bones, Tuskens would have killed the man if they were truly angered by his presence, or taken him away like they had his aunt but he doubted they had taken anyone and that they were not looking to scare but possibly warn the farmer.

Ryana listened to him at least he wasnt full of himself and thought things threw at least it sounded that way to her. She knew about putting others into harms way she did that to Gabriel when he saved her from slavery and to dreidi on yavin 4 as she sat there riding with him.

She had taken that lesson to heart but she would lay down her life if necessary though as he explained tuskens "I learned all about them during my life before I became a Jedi I had to help interpret their language for the hutt I was owned by because I was expendable to him" she said as she rode with him.

When she heard his question towards the farmer she had was about to ask the same thing as she sat there as she refocused her attention towards the farmer "they fire in my general direction and scream at me and at night I hear them beating on my door and hitting my roof" he said sitting there looking between ryana and cedwyn " do you two think you can help" he said as he sat there.

"Learning about them and being around them are two different things. Books and holocrons are laden with biases and stereotypes, especially since most do not view Tuskens in favourable light." Cedwyn pointed out, he hadn't spent much time with the Tuskens but enough to understand some of their beliefs and ways of life from them directly. It was very different to how they were portrayed in books and such, it would be difficult to find information that would contradict the mainstream opinion of Tuskens.

The old farmer only offered more information that was attempting to frame the Tuskens in bad light but it still didn't sound like them from his perspective but he would have to investigate further. "We'll see what is occurring and work from there." Cedwyn then looked to Ryana, "best we start checking out the surrounding area." Cedwyn stated, stepping outside once more.

"What is your take on the matter?" He would ask Ryana once out of earshot of the farmer.

Ryana looked at him she would drop the subject about the tuskens for now she had dealings with them in the past. She knew not all where as portraid in books and holocrons but some could be reasoned with and these seemed like those that could from what the farmer had said or they where mindless beasts when couldn't think anymore. She hoped for the former for their sake and the farmers as she would prefer not to kill people but knew that there might not be any alternative.

She followed cedwyn out and looked at him as they got out of earshot of the farmer. "I'm not sure I'm hoping this tuskens tribe is non hostile to outsiders as they haven't hit him yet I was hoping to solve this diplomaticly but we may have to resort to violence but there may be another force at work" she said as she approached her speeder she sat down on it. Thinking for a second "I doubt they took his family member otherwise they would have taken him to I'm thinking there's something worse than tusken raiders and I want to know what" she said determined.

"Tuskens can be tricky, hostile to strangers unless you approach respectfully. So, we should keep on guard until we approach them." Cedwyn stated, he paused and nodded his head, "I want to be diplomatic with them as well but always expect the worse with these kinds of things and be prepared to fight." Cedwyn pointed out as he shifted to his own speeder, looking around, leaning forward as he scanned the horizon for where the Tuskens could be based around this area.

Tilting his head, Cedwyn shrugged his shoulders, "that might not have been the case. Tuskens might have caught his aunt out in the open and haven't caught him in that situation. However, I do agree that I feel that something is off on this story." Cedwyn let his thoughts be internalised and attempting comprehend the situation.

"Let's get going and see if we can find where the Tuskens are based." Cedwyn revved his engines and started shifted forward.

She agreed with him "well we have to find them before we can worry about approaching them or trying diplomacy but I agree plus we'll be outnumbered if we stumble on their home if they're hostile you any good with those blasters" she joked trying to lighten the mood a bit. She looked around and saw a high point to look south east of their location around at "let's take a look up on that hill see if we can spot anything" she offered.

She thought about the story the farmer told "if tuskens wanted to take him why wouldn't they stick around they'd obviously know how to hide and ambush him when he came out this smells fishy" she said as she took off towards the hill she had noticed he tried to scan the horizon if he had seen something he'd have said so. Hopefully anyway as she took off for the hilly outcropping to give them a higher vantage point and 360 degrees of the area.

As she approached the hill she found a spot to ride her bike up on to get to the top she made sure that cedwyn was following as they hit the top ryana stopped her bike and started rummaging through her bikes bags. "I could have sworn that the guy I rented this from said there where binoculars in here" she said rummaging through as she was bent over. "Call me paranoid but what if the tuskens had nothing to do with the aunt disappearing I guess that wouldn't explain their anger or why they are attacking the farmer". She said "aha" she said as she pulled the binoculars out and started scanning the horizon all around them she saw she focused on some hills in the distance south 20 miles and zoomed in seeing a rather large cave. "There's a cave 20 miles that way looks big enough for a decent sized krayt dragon I don't see any movement though we should be cautious if we head in that direction though". She said pointing towards the cave she would continue looking for movement as she looked around.

Cedwyn raised an eyebrow to Ryana and shook his head, "my blaster skills ain't anything you need to be concerned about little lady." He offered a slight chuckle to lighten his tone.

Riding to the tall sand dune, Cedwyn parked alongside her and grabbed binoculars as he scanned the area with Ryana. Looking around, his eyes analysed the terrain and assessed where it would be best for the Tuskens to be located, especially since they were nomadic types of people so he knew it wouldn't be anything that looked permanent in terms of a settlement.

"Who said they were angry with their actions to the farmer?" Cedwyn countered, "what if they weren't being aggressive or angry about him but attempting to warn him or scare him away?" Cedwyn mentioned as his mind thought about the ideas that the Tuskens could be understanding that something was a large threat or dangerous and wanted the farmer away for their safety. It would be odd behaviours but could be plausible. "It isn't something they usually do but if there is something they deem a larger threat or something they are wishing to keep for themselves then they might work to keep others away."

A Krayt dragon could be the cause since Tuskens did prize their pearls and such. Inhaling deeply, Cedwyn really didn't like the idea but he knew what to do. "We can head that way, be cautious and we are not using the speeders all the way there. Just in case it is a dragon's den, can't disturb it." Cedwyn pointed out.

She chuckled lightly at his response as they rode to the top of the sand dune and disembarked. As they both scanned around she looked for other signs of tusken activity like a marching formation or banthas or the tuskens themselves.

She thought about his insight into the situation he may have been right they wouldn't know unless they actually talked to the tuskens which was unlikely to happen. She stood there "well if what you say is true then I'm guessing there is probably a krayt dragon in that cave and they want him away so he doesn't attract hunters into the area for a finders fee" she said looking at cedwyn. Which meant they had two real options deal with whatever's in that cave "unless there is something else in the cave maybe something that's driving them mad or maybe they found water in the area which is very unlikely in this planet" she said giving it some thought.

She thought about what he said and it made sense too bad she didn't bring pip with her he might've been useful for scouting out the cave from its entrance other than that though he would have been a huge hindrance for such a small creature. "That should be something we both need to agree on I won't go if you won't" she said well aware of the danger a krayt dragon posed and they weren't ready to face it she wasn't sure her lightsaber would do much against the beast depending on its size sure he had blasters but the odds where against them.

He moved close to Ryana then attempted to shift her lower. Nothing aggressive or forceful, but getting a lot closer and potentially intimate as he pointed in a different direction. "Tuskens. Or at least, people looking to be Tuskens." Cedwyn whispered in a low voice, they were a distance away but Cedwyn was being cautious, his focus was on the mission. "Their movements are wrong for Tuskens. Not hiding their numbers. Must be raiders pretending to be them in order to get away with whatever they are doing in the cave." Signalling to the cave, the direction the supposed Tuskens were marching towards. They weren't the traditional look and they certainly weren't marching in a single line formation either.

"Explains their weird behaviour if these guys are attempting to act like Tuskens to scare people away and hide any operations they had that was illegal." Cedwyn commented, then shifted back when the Tuskens were out of sight, "I think over there, we can get a good look at things and unlikely to be seen." He pointed to a sand dune opposite them that was more likely to give them a better angle at what was inside the cave. "Might have to keep close though, so hopefully you don't mind the smell of this old man." He winked to her with a smirk.

"Also best to keep to a single speeder, two could make more noise and dust that will make us more likely to be detected." He shifted quietly, gesturing Ryana to get on behind him.

Ryana was startled she was about to speak up when she noticed him point and she turned her gaze to look that way seeing what he was talking about. As seeing 'tuskens' she studied them she had to agree "I agee it is rather odd for tuskens" she said. Hearing cedwyn out she was thinking of a way to sneak in if only she didn't have lekku it would have been easier to disguise herself and walk in. "Hmm wonder what they have to hide maybe their smugglers using the cave as a cache maybe and maybe the aunt started snooping around" she said looking.

"It makes sense people do tend to stay clear of tuskens do to hostility so it's the perfect disguise if someone wanted to illegal activity" she picked herself up after he shifted away from her dusting off some Sand. As the lethan looked to where he pointed out and agreed "I've been around worse for longer I think I will manage old man smell unless you smell like a hutt let who hasn't bathed in a while" she said in jest.

As she sat behind him hanging her binoculars off her neck "don't get any ideas 'old man'" she said in jest as they took off towards the other sand dune.

He shrugged, "I tend to shower regularly. But the desert can make anyone sweaty quick." He chuckled deeply, the joys of not being use to the heat of Tatooine. "And don't worry about ideas lass, already told you that you ain't old enough for me. I also tend to go for women who can handle me in a fight, and don't think you can keep up with how rough that can be." He laughed and gave a wink to her, before sending the speeder forward.

Arriving at the second location, Cedwyn slid off and crouched low. He shifted forward as he kept quiet, moving to where he could just appear over the sand dune with the smallest part of him peering over. Cedwyn took his binoculars and zoomed forward, seeing inside the cave only a little since the darkness obscured the depths. "Seems like something is going on inside. Smugglers or spice workers are the likeliest scenario. Spice trade is important business outside of GA space." Cedwyn commented, he had some insight in that from his own work in spice.

"But working out here like this, either has to be a dangerous, risky work. Either a new batch of spice or something else that isn't currently on the market or, they are working on something dangerous inside that takes time and they don't want prying eyes." He looked to Ryana, "I bet you're right about the aunt. Unfortunately, I don't know how we're getting in without being seen since I don't have anything to make us invisible and those fake Tuskens are already heading inside so we can't pretend to be them."

"Any thoughts on how to get in?" Cedwyn was happy to take ideas from the Padawan.
