Desert Palms

She was looking at what they hd done, Sorel and her had found it in that secret underground research lab that had been developed by the jedi to make these things but they had never really started to dream or design it until now. Using the technology she could get from sasori and her mother along with the skills and access that came from the other thing that had happened. Returning they had been presented with the ceremony to become jedi knights within the order fo the silver jedi. So as Orihime was standing there and looked at the torpedo that was developed for them, full of everything that was being needed to function on the worlds.

"So it has been constructed and now we have become life, bringer of worlds..." She said it standing there and crossing her arms as the terraforming torpedo was all designed and ready. "There should be enough in these torpedo's to start seeding the world and the the droids will be able to maintain it and start developing enough in the beginning. This won't be instant and we'll need the jedi protector of Klantooine to work with the locals to keep it protected and cultivated." She said it with a look on her face though to see and work with the other two jedi that were here working to develop the all new set of technology to improve upon the worlds themselves.

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
If there was something that was a common thread in Sorel’s life, it was the fact that she rarely went back. But today was an exception for sure. She was heading back to a facility she’d uncovered with her friend Orihime. It was ancient yet untouched for so many years – and in many ways was pristine – and given it housed some of the finest Jedi minds in its day, was still state of the art in many fields.

So here she was – now a Knight as opposed to a Padawan – and Orihime was by her side. In fact they’d both been knighted since the day they’d found this place, having discovered a holocron on Jakku that had given them these coordinates. And there was someone new with them, so between them they would discover more of what the facility had to offer – and specifically the research undertaken on terraforming.

Occupied with her new business ventures in Alliance space, Ciana didn't have the time to visit with the Jedi on Klatooine, but she had sent a team of technicians from Kiribi to assist them in their project. The Jedi's plan for terraforming planets was sound, and it aligned with her own interests in terraforming projects related to reversing the effects of desertification (and glassing) on planets across the galaxy. Korriban had been her original target because of the publicity that would have come with such a high-profile planet, but as the Sith had retaken the Caldera, she had settled on Klatooine. The natives' industrialization over the past few centuries had done much to accelerate desertification on a planet already known to be quite arid. She also had some interest in the soil compositions of the planet, containing a special mineral balance resulting in the formation of wintrium and the growth of exotic plant life that could be found nowhere else in the galaxy, so a secondary objective was to collect samples for replicating the unique environmental conditions of Klatooine off-planet.

Once the Jedi had arrived at the capital of Klatooine, she had arranged for them to be picked up by a shuttle to be transported to the site. For testing, Panacea had acquired some of the most barren piece of land upon Klatooine, which had once been savannah country only decades before. Her mother's pet, Arisa,
now lived on Klatooine, so there would be little doubt that the second-rate engineer would be tagging along with her Jedi friends once they arrived.

Orihime looked at Sorel as she was working on some of the things and the information from the labs on Klantooine well was coming in. They had set up on the planet to observe and work with the wintrium to study it n the soil. It was one of the ways they had learned how to replicate it and manufacture it for the synth mesh when she waited there. The information that they had and would be able to work with in testing it was another important part of the torpedo for a small section and well testing purposes you needed to have several at the ready to use. Nothing usually survive the first try in some cases but it would and should be able to give them the proper data for a moment while she went to look at the others that they were going to meet with to make this work. The area they needed to test it on and there were biot droids ready to head in afterwards with the other materials to work on cultivating it and protecting it. "I think we are ready to begin, you ready to go and meet them?"

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Klatooine was becoming something of a second home for Sorel. She’d arrived at the capital once more with her friend Orihime and was due to meet Arisa once more. This time not in her comfortable offices but in a most inhospitable part of the planet. Which was chosen for a reason of course.

They were travelling in a shuttle that took them from the capital to the barren spot chosen – which apparently was not always so. Understanding why would definitely be a priority of the scientists that were attached to their project. Sorel’s input was that she was there when they’d discovered the terraforming research and equipment. She had no specific technical knowledge or more than a passing personal interest in its application. Except she had a moral duty as a Jedi to ensure that such knowledge was used for the greater good – as opposed to increase profits.

And she was learning all about wintrium. She was no expert but at least understood that it was a a liquid that spouted from the Fountain of Ancients in the Derelkoos Desert on Klatooine. At it reached the surface, it reacted with the dry desert air to create a glass-like material, appearing to be frozen in time. Wintrium became harder as it aged, and given enough time it could become nearly indestructible. Old wintrium was almost impossible to cut with even a lightsaber.

As the shuttle closed in on the landing site, Sorel nodded as Orihime spoke. “I’m ready.”

When the Jedi had been collected, Ciana got in contact with them via holocall to introduce herself and brief them on the details of the project underway.

"Greetings ladies. I am Ciana
Teigra, CEO of Panacea. As much as I would have liked to observe the progress of the project in person, duties call me elsewhere. I'll still be around to monitor the project remotely, so if you ever have any problems, I'm only a holocall away."

"So I've looked
over the data provided by Miss Ike and Sasori on this terraforming torpedo. Good results so far, but I feel like more can ben done to make a complete system. So during the testing, we'll be deploying it within a small biome generated by osmotic fields. In a closed, controlled environment, the hope is that biomass and greenhouse gases will be generated much more quickly than simply allowing the growth of bacteria and algae to run its course. From these biomes, the biomass will be collected and distributed for the creation of chernozem."

"On Klatooine, we're looking to immediately apply this technology to halt the spread of the Derelkoos and other large deserts. This will be done by first creating a
new treeline around their edges to halt their advance into savannah lands. From there, the desert itself will be transformed, the land reclaimed for use."

"I would like to to tailor each deployment for individual
planets to prevent contamination, so my engineers been working with local labs to develop synthetic microbes modeled after local fauna of bacteria and moss. There's a little side project that will also be deployed, adding some of Sasori's Force-imbued wintrium to the soil. I think it would be useful as nontoxic fertilizer."

She gave a nod seeing the one and then the other one. Presenting some of the information and the data before she clasped her hands together hearing the idea of personalizing the works. There is a lot of things that they could also work with as the wintirium they had developed and infused with the force was very nice to have. "We should be able to get some of it for you, we have also been developing additional components for growing and cultivating. use in the resource stations we have developed allows for stronger and larger crops that they will produce." With the force infused wintrium going into the soil it might change the properties or even give some of the world a new and different perspective. "Though I am looking forward to some of the things to be tested."

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel listened to the briefing. It was pitched low enough that she could pick up what was intended, even if she had no idea on the how. She presumed Orihime did and could fill her in later on the bits she didn’t quite grasp. Like biomes. And osmotic fields. And definitely chernozem.

She was unsure of the intention to erode desert. There would be life that required such a habitat, but she was not here to advise, but to observe and help where she could. Any ethics could be discussed at the appropriate level.

Then Orihime spoke. Sorel was right, her friend had grasped all of the detail. She was glad she wasn’t here alone. When Orihime finished speaking, Sorel nodded approvingly. She had nothing useful to add, so kept quiet. It was either that or risk making a fool of herself by asking or saying something foolish.
