- Healing Enzymes: The Orbalisks are fascinating organisms not only able to deliver pain and rage, but able to secrete healing enzymes into the host. This allows the host to be healed from extensive injuries after battle. It cannot however heal fatal blows, or counteract the Orbalisks deadly toxins upon release.
- Enhanced Strength and Speed: The power gained from the Orbalisks allows the host to wield speed and strength through the empowerment given by the Orbalisks making the host a deadly foe to face.
- Parasitic Shield: The remarkable resilience provided by the Orbalisks makes the set of armor very durable. Able to take the brunt of most weapons from blasters to lightsabers with ease, as well as blasters of all types, and powerful enough to take on an explosive impact making the armor a tough nut to crack open.
- Stimulant Enhancer: The Orbalisks feeding from the host will also boost the adrenaline within the host. This gives the host an edge with awareness and reflexes.
- Dark Side Symbiosis: The Orbalisks are creatures of the Dark Side. Feeding from a host's own Dark Side energy would they feed it back into the host. The Orbalisks acts as a conduit for Dark Side energy to go back and forth between Orbalisks and host, granting the host immense power in the Dark Side and feeding it back to the parasites in return.
- The Spread: Even when most of the Orbalisks have been destroyed in combat, all that is needed is one, or two Orbalisks to remain on the host in order to remultiply across the body.
- Electricity: Despite the invulnerability granted to the host by the Orbalisks, the Orbalisks have a fatal flaw of electricity either through techniques such as Force Lightning, or Arc Casters, once hit by a high voltage of lightning will the Orbalisks die.
- Stealth no more: Due to the all consuming nature of the Orbalisks, the host is unable to live a normal life, nor can blend in successfully with large crowds as the body is consumed by the Orbalisks.
- Roid Rage: With the stimulants being pumped through his body as the Orbalisks feed from him. The Dark Side feedback loop from the Orbalisks combined with the constant pumping of enzymes and stimulants into his system, will often lead the host into states of rage where there is at times no control of.
- Consumed: Over time the Orbalisks will continue to spread across the host, until the host is consumed completely by the Orbalisks. Only through alchemized clothing can his hands, feet, and head remain free of the Orbalisks.
- Deadly Poison: Toxins are constantly pumped through the host. A poison from these toxins are triggered upon deaths of multiple Orbalisks. This leads to the Orbalisks retaliating against the host by releasing a poison through the host, that if not dealt immediately will lead to certain death of the Host.
- I Need my Pain: The toxins, stimulants, and constant feeding off of the Host's own energy and power leads to the Host being in excruciating amounts of pain, this pain plays heavily into constant state of rage for the host.
- Uncomfortable: Not only is the host in constant states of pain, but he is also in a constant state of discomfort from the Orbalisks feeding off of his flesh.
- Limited Mobility: Despite the increased strength and agility offered by the Orbalisks, the host cannot perform acrobatic attacks, nor can he dodge gracefully.
- Limb Exposure: The hands and feet are untouched by the Orbalisks leaving the appendages exposed to attack. The head is also a weak point as the helmet can be damaged after repeated strikes.
Detritus Ren's Orbalisk Armor would began as hundreds of Orbalisks would make they're home inside the Tomb of Freedon Nadd on the Jungle Moon of Dxun. They would remain dormant within the Tomb's dark halls for centuries until the arrival of Jin Kyrel now known as Detritus Ren. Detritus Ren and his band of Dark Side Cultists known as the Knights of Ren were on a journey seeking out the rumored Darth Solipsis. The Knights of Ren burning a path from Batuu would be led to Dxun where the Onderon System would be held under a military operation by The Dark Empire known as Operation Nightfall. The New Sith Order and the Knights of Ren would head deep into the wild jungle to seek out the lost Dark Side secrets left by Freedon Nadd. The zealotry leader that is Detritus would eagerly lead his Knights towards the tomb where he was given little resistance.
Upon entering the Tomb would Detritus be greeted by Jedi Master Joran Olan and a Mandalorian that goes by Liorra. The Knights of Ren left to face off against the defenders would Detritus unleash himself upon the Mandalorian warrior. Beskad and Lightsaber clashed, only for Detritus to beat the Mandalorian down. After a brawl would the Mandalorian flee in attempt to draw Detritus out. Unperturbed by the attempt to draw Detritus away would he continue deeper into the darkness of Nadd's tomb. He wandered through the obsidian tunnels until he reached the heart of the tomb. Upon entering the heart of Nadd's tomb would Detritus be greeted by illusions of Emperor Rurik Fel of the New Imperial Order, as well as his slain best friend known as Hans. Disturbed by the appearance of ghosts of his past would Detritus face them down, and inch ever closer to a prize that was in the form of a book of Sith Magic. Upon entering closer to the book would he discover that it had been trapped by the Jedi. The knowledge scrambled deep inside of Detritus's memory before it had faded away.
When he had activated the trap would Detritus awaken the Orbalisks. Emerging in a swarm of hundreds would they descend upon Detritus with a frightening hunger. Detritus would try to fend them off, only to be swarmed as he screamed Hans name out. Through his rage would he push the swarm back, even as a few Orbalisks would latch onto him through his wounds sustained earlier with the Mandalorian. In an act of desperation would Detritus break a hole through the stone, only for him to tumble towards a large green pool. The Orbalisks would feed off of him, as he would attempt to climb his way up through vines. Detritus would barely make it up back to the surface, defeated and exhausted from the parasites that fed from his body.
Detritus would go on to seek assistance in managing the growing swarm that spread all over him. In time he would learn to treat his helmet, and what robes he had left to live with the feeding Dark Side crustaceans that seek to consume him entirely. Detritus would go on to live symbiotically with the Orbalisks learning to need them as much as they needed him.
