Description:
Detrosol was created as a way to identify drugged drinks by alerting the user to the presence of narcotics or deadly drugs. The user slips the pill into the drink where it quickly dissolves, producing a color change if an illegal substance is detected. While Detrosol cannot detect all and every drug, it can detect most common narcotics and deadly drugs including: Norbutal, Slick, Black Hole, Waste-It, Lecepanine, Xabar, and many classes of truth drugs including Loquasin. If one or more of these drugs is present, the dissolved pill will release a chemical dye that will turn liquids below a certain optical threshold dark, and above the same threshold light. For example, a dark red wine that tests positive would turn a blush pink, and a glass of water that tests positive will turn a cloudy gray. The color changes vary from liquid to liquid and are grounded on base color and chemical makeup, but will always produce a noticeable difference.
Detrosol works by use of microscopic tracers that bind to drug molecules, detecting them through a basic chemical makeup common to many narcotics and deadly drugs. Once the tracers are bound to their target molecule, they release a color sensitive dye that will change the overall appearance of the liquid. This color change can take up to three minutes to complete, so it is recommended that the user allows a maximum of five minutes before determining if the drink is safe or not. In a negative sample, the pill will not affect the taste or color of a drink and can be consumed. Detrosol is not known to have side effects.
