STRENGTHS

• Shrouded in Darkness: When used as a focusing crystal in a lightsaber or similar weapon, nightstone has a "darkening" effect similar to the light absorbing cell invented by the Kerestians. This effect extends to an approximately three meter radius.

WEAKNESSES

• I Am Also Quite Blind: The wielder of the weapon is also left in the dark. To get around this handicap, they would have to wear infrared or ultraviolet scanners into battle, or rely on the Force to see.

DESCRIPTION
Built during his apprenticeship under the trickster "god" Kolinahr (aka the Shi'ido Samyaza Hoole), this weapon was created by Dev to be a "true" darksaber. Functionally the same as a lightsaber, the blade casts darkness in a roughly three meter radius around it when activated. This forces both the wielder and their foe(s) to rely on the Force to see their surroundings.
