STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Highly Survivable: The Royal Transport is a wiley target to take down.
WEAKNESSES
  • Escort Dependent: While capable of defending itself, the Royal Family is too valuable to risk in direct confrontation. Escorts are recommended to intercept attackers.
DESCRIPTION

Made for the Devit Royal Family, the Royal Transport employs several unusual features to keep them safe during transit or while escaping dangerous situations. A variety of sophisticated electronic warfare suits alter the ship’s signature, prevent hyperspace tracking, and jam a hostile's sensors and target locks when attacked. The yacht is also a challenge to pin down as it has methods of slipping tractor beam lock and bypasses gravity wells. It’s even capable of passing through planetary shielding to hinder pursuit or escape a planet turned unfriendly.

The Royal Transport hosts comfortable suites for each family member, a small reception area, secure meeting room, and full kitchens, as well as a small garage to house an airspeeder and a few bikes. To the rear of the bridge is a strategy room with a holotank and secure lines of communication to various Devit defense and government institutions and officials. In crisis situations, the ruler can take charge and stay informed while on the move. Taking inspiration from the Consular Cruisers of the Old Republic, the entire ‘living block’ is capable of jettisoning from the ship in emergencies and maneuvering to a nearby planet on sublights and repulsors. This section contains survival suits and emergency rations and would allow survival in almost any environment for up to a month without resupply.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: A Fighter for Devit Royal

  • Permissions: FAE
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Superiority: Featuring top-line thrust vectoring that allows the pilot to reconfigure the fighter's flight profile that allows quick repositioning and tight turns during dogfights.
WEAKNESSES
  • Cramped: Other than the fighter's cockpit, there is little cargo space. This limits the long-range capabilities of the ship with little room for supplies and storage, and also prevents the starfighter from transporting individuals or supplies.
DESCRIPTION

Commissioned by the Devit Security Forces for patrol and protection duties, the Royal Fighter is well suited to tackling a variety of threats both in atmosphere and the orbitals. As Outer Rim Resources received the commission alongside the Royal Transport’s the company’s engineers didn’t limit the starfighter like a planetary or carrier based craft. Instead they gave it the same high output, long-lasting, antimatter reactor and an even faster hyperdrive, allowing these fighters to act as escort and scout for the Royal Family.

Primary armament is a quartet of devastating pulse cannons backed up by ordinance launchers capable of storing and firing a multitude of warheads suited to a variety of missions. For interdiction and policing, the fighter also carries a pair of ion cannons to provide a less destructive means of stopping suspicious ships. In trademark fashion, ORR built rugged with sturdy armor backing a well-tested shield generator while simplifying maintenance and repair requirements. As always, considerable care was given to ensure smooth operation in a wide range of environments from sandy deserts to frozen tundras with minimal adjustments needed.
