The DG-29 Bandit is an iconic weapon for its reliable design and common usage in adventure holodramas by gunslingers and wanted criminals. DG series blasters have been around for a long time but there is something about the 29's stylish quality that has kept them around as popular collector's items and inheritance. It is considered crude and inelegant by Core World standards for its old fashioned side-loading chamber but still a popular option on the black market anywhere.
Custom Bandits have earned the name for their hair triggers which reduces the amount of pressure required to fire consecutive bursts. For reputable armstechs modding the blaster in this way is a simple process but it has a deteriorating effect on the weapon's power cartridge capacity. While not quite as powerful as a bowcaster or E-Web platform like in some of the holos, 29s still pack quite a punch and can penetrate most modern shock trooper armor. An optional long range scope gives the heavy blaster its edge as a precision instrument. These guns are rugged and effective and having one in your face really makes you think about the odds.
