Description: After the reemergence of the One Sith and the escalation of armed hostilities of Galactic Governments after the 'Netherworld Rapture' Dolos Defense Agency (DDA) sought to make a Main Battle Tank to sell for Profit to Dark Side aligned factions. Thus the Dolos Heavy Tank model One (DHT-01) was put into development on orders by Darth Kentarch. The primary armament for DHT-01 is a 140 mm canon, instead of a heavy laser canons or mass driver, the gun fires various shells. These rounds include high explosive anti-tank, Kinetic energy penetrator (KEP), high explosive, smoke, white phosphorus, and anti-personnel canister shot. The ammo magazine is located in the back of the turret, and designed to direct explosions upwards when hit. The KEP rounds and High-Explosive rounds can when fired from the main gun have a range of 4000 meters, while other rounds have have a maximum range of 200 meters. KEP and high explosive anti-tank make up the majority of rounds kept in the tank's load-out, a minimum of 43 for a combined total. The tanks while heavy, is well armored, yet this makes it much slower than most tanks available in the galaxy. Finally it has an operational range of 450 km.
Strengths & Weaknesses
+ Smoothbore: Unlike most tanks which have one heavy laser cannon, the gun of the Cataphract can fire various shells for multiple uses against different types of targets with it's Smoothbore 140 mm Main Gun. Likewise the shells and their various uses are more effect against other types of armored vehicles.
+ Armored: Weighing in at 64 tonnes with 1,620 millimeters thick frontal armor, the armor and tank's overall durability is much better than the other MBTs, a single shot from most armored vehicles will not 'pop can' her.
-Reload: DHT-01 are outfitted with only 63 shells a tank, after the shells are fired it needs to return to an ammo dump or supply vehicle for more ammunition. This is a disadvantage as most tanks are outfitted with laser cannons which fire indefinitely.
-Torsion: The DHT-01 is slower than most tanks, and uses a torsion-rod and tracks to move about terrain. Because of this method of travel, the more rugged the terrain the slower it goes compared hovertanks that use repulsor technology.
-Duck: The tank has no defense against air assaults, and has no Modularity for an Anti-Air kit.
