DI CALYR

BACKGROUND

Di has had a long, storied career on the battlefield. While she managed to survive, the same could not always be said for those that fought along side her. Even survival twice came at a steep price of a limb, which resulted in both of Di's arms being replaced with cybernetics; each time the result of clashing with a Force User. It was witnessing the ways in which those Users tore up armies and planets that led Di to explore developing new ways to meet them in battle.

While Mandalorians are capable of facing Jedi and Sith, the area-of-effect powers remain a formidable threat. After a great deal of experimentation and consultation with others, Di developed a means of providing vode an increased protection against such monstrous power. It was far from guaranteeing success, but Mandalorians were not unaccustomed to hard-won fights. After that, it was a matter of training vode how to use it effectively -- which was easier said than done. Understanding a Force User's Tells were instrumental, and drilling in the counters so they were as instinctual as drawing breath were key in surviving a barrage of Force powers.

Whenever Di wasn't on the field, and wherever she could find Mandalorian interested in training -- and how many of them weren't? -- Di eagerly sought to teach them everything she could. Every single soul that came back from a clash with the Force Users was a personal victory.

PERSONALITY

Di has high expectations of those she fights along side and those she trains. What some may find a demanding or exacting personality is born solely from a desire to see her fellow vode survive in even the harshest battlefield. If pushing people to their limit gets them to recognize the need to train, Di has no problems why a warrior shouldn't rest on their heels even during times of "peace."

Having fought Jedi and Sith alike, and not always returned in one piece, Di distrusts at bests and outright wishes harm more often than not on all those that blindly follow the galactic Orders. Light side, Dark side, in the end their powers result in the deaths of vode that weren't properly prepared to face such monsters. Di takes it on herself to train others to survive such encounters; even so, she can't help but revile foes that can level entire planets on a whim without ever facing those they butchered. So, if there's ever an option to annihilate Jedi or Sith from orbit, Di has no problem returning the favor -- there's always an exception to every rule (facing your enemy in person).

Off duty, Di enjoys listening to music and drinking at a cantina like many others. You could even find her enjoying a drink in a club, but her eyes aren't on the Twi'lek dancers like most other patrons.

STRENGTHS

+Cybernetic Arms - Both arms are cybernetic replacements allowing Di to lift more than the average Human.

+Close Quarter Combat Master - Mastery of hand-to-hand combat training coupled with experience makes her a formidable CQC combatant.
+Adept Blacksmith - Well-trained in a variety of smithing techniques, Di's specialty is often with more esoteric applications.
+Courageous - Di won't balk just because the enemy stands ready to receive her.
+Poker Face - An inscrutable gaze conceals Di's motives and aims from her enemies -- and often her allies.

WEAKNESSES

-Relentless - Even if the enemy is well-prepared, Di won't hesitate to leap into the fray if the mission demands it. This may result in higher casualties in her unit as a result.
-Ruthless - Enemies receive no mercy, and if there's an efficient if so-called cruel way to end a fight and minimize allied casualties she'll propose it.
-Demanding - High-expectations of those in her unit(s) or being trained by her; there is no codling in the Calyr Way.
-Unreadable - Even her allies may find it difficult to tell if she is joking at times.
-Narcotics - Do not let Di catch you with mind-altering substances (drink is fine, just don't get blackout drunk).
-Biased - Di has a personal grudge with Force Users; not Force Sensitives, but members of established Orders that try to impose their will on the galaxy.
