- Description: The tome contains rituals associated Sith Magic and Dark Side abilities to cheat or sustain life.
- Author: Darth Zianzui (Tome)
- Publisher: Ro-Tahn Mashayekhi (Book)
- Reception: The response to the book presented by Ro-Tahn to his circle of friends, old Jedi scholars, was well received by them. Even the Jedi Order took an interest in the book, and after reading it themselves and the tome, they agreed all the contents were fact. The tome has not been made available to the general public due to the content within the book itself.
The original tome is ancient, dating the exact year it was created cannot be determined. The tome was created using a form of skin type, possibly animal or alien or even human, but like the dating process, it is difficult to determine. The pages are inked in black, obviously from a source that can be manufactured from any several floras across the known galaxy, and a quill was instrumental in the writing process due to the clear, linear strokes of the letters and word combinations. Whomever wrote the tome was clearly left-handed by the style of the pen strokes on the page, how certain letters follow a different pattern than those of a right-handed individual.
CONTENT INFORMATION
The ancient tome was clearly written by a Sith Lord, hence the name Darth Zianzui discovered several times in writings, who had knowledge of Sith Magic and other Dark Side abilities associated with cheating death through various means. Outside of certain incantation spells, there are specific chapters to Sith Magic abilities and Dark Side abilities. It is not recommended to cite the incantations or attempt to use the spells in the tome, for fear of drawing on the Dark Side.
- Division 1 - Sith Magic
- Division 2 - Spells
- Division 3 - Alchemy
- Division 4 - Life
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Publishers Exposition:
I had spent countless hours going over the tome, I aptly named my book Diabolic Rituals after the contents of the tome, in an effort to understand the nature of the contents written within. I have no clear understanding of the true nature of the Dark Side or the applications associated with it, my only knowledge comes from the teachings from the Temple Masters and my Master early on when I was first a youngling then a Padawan. Even as a Jedi Knight, my knowledge of the Dark Side is what I see clearly with my own eyes, the horrors and evils that it wrought upon the innocent, the weak, and the galaxy as a whole. But first, I needed to learn more about the author of the tome, this Darth Zianzui. The Jedi archives do not have a complete and accurate catalog of every Sith, though there are some names and history attached to specific members of that wicked Order. So, it was no surprise I found nothing authenticated this Sith Lord existed outside her own written name in the tome. The only clue I could cleverly assume, considering the age and the derelict shape Sith Temple, that she must have lived hundreds, perhaps thousands of years ago.
With trying to learn about Darth Zianzui hitting a dead end, I moved to the tome itself, carefully moving through the pages. The Sith were well known for laying traps and 'tripwires' in their possessions, especially those like this tome that documented their work. Though I have the ability known as Psychometry, I thought it wise not to utilize for fear of seeing visions I would never be able to unsee and for my own sanity. The pages were elegantly designed, and the craftsmanship of the penmanship was exquisite. However, it was the context inside the tome that captured my curiosity. Very little is known amongst the Jedi about Sith Sorcery and Sith Alchemy outside what we experience when forced to deal with the likes of Sith spawns and abominations and corrupted objects. This tome is helpful in ways to help us to understand what we are dealing with, perhaps even allow us ways to counteract the dark arts. I know there are sects among the Jedi that practice certain techniques that some have claimed is the counter to Sith Magic and Alchemy, but I disagree. There is no countering such horrible techniques outside of facing them head on with the hopes of surviving the ordeal entirely and with your sanity intact.
I discovered each chapter, or division the Sith referred to them as, was dedicated to an aspect she fully embraced. The first three divisions were educational in ways I would call a breakthrough, with most of my colleagues and older Jedi scholars agreeing, that opened up the proverbial flood gates, if you will, to understanding the topics at hand. It wasn't a complete dictionary of the Sith Magic and Alchemy entirely, but we had a starting point. It was, however, that when I began reading through the final division entitled 'Life' that I felt a sense of uneasiness. The techniques, the experiments, and the rituals this Darth Zianzui used to, as she put it, cheat life was unforgivable. Countless lives, those mostly of children, lost because one individual could not come to grips of eternal death. As I read this section, my mind wandered back to the Sith Temple when I witnessed the apparitions of some of these lost souls, and even now as I write this my heart weeps for them and their families. I only hope by publishing this book that the Jedi Council act upon what we are facing in the fight against the Sith and their twisted minds.
