- Unit Name: Didact Heavy Troopers
- Affiliation: Didact Defense Solutions.
- Classification: Paramilitary.
- Equipment: /
- Availability: Rare.
- Deployment: Minor.
- Strengths & Weaknesses:
[HEAVY] - They have been outfitted and trained to serve as the hammer of Didact. They hit hard, they hit fast and they can endure a lot.
[THYRSIAN] - Much like the Words of Tash they are made up of Thyrsians. They know the field of battle and have an extended sense of what might occur. But they are hot-blooded and unlike the Words are less restrained and coordinated. A strange sense of honor means cowardice (a strategic retreat) will be barely acceptable. Words might slip into blood.
[RARE] - A limited number means you won't see them everywhere at once. Their numbers are contained to the most important Didact facilities and difficult operations.
[SPECIALIZED] - You won't see them pilot starfighters, ships, operate difficult machinery or anything else that might need additional training. They are taught to fight. Nothing more. This leaves little options, if they don't have proper back-up.
[CYBERNETICS] - Because of their cybernetics they are vulnerable against ion weaponry.
- Description: Didact Defense Solutions was growing at an exponential rate. Who could have guessed that the rich and the morally bankrupt sentients of this Galaxy would be eager to hire a neutral fighting force ready to take on any mission given to them? The Words of Itash were highly competent, but they were only a few. The recruit drive was pulling more and more people into DDS to ensure there would be personnel to handle more missions as the demand increased.
Their training was overseen by those same Words, ensuring that they are ready for whatever the Galaxy could throw at them.
The newest cybernetics have been used to augment their capabilities in the field. This does leave them vulnerable to ionic weaponry to a larger degree than non-augmented individuals. But it was decided this was a reasonable trade-off.
