- In appearance, the armor is a seemingly standard Beskar'gam-- smaller, perhaps, alluding to Aela's stature, but very similar to most other Beskar'gam, save for the segmented skirt, which is based on the design of the traditional kama, only of shorter length, slit on the sides as opposed to the front, and made of thin, segmented layers of Besk'ar, like scales.
A power shield is fitted in the skirt, activated through an interface in the helmet. A series of scales are fitted with gears that can launch a single net, and one scale houses a taozin amulet. The taozin amulet clouds and blurs her presence in the Force; in the event that she is without Miri, this will allow her to hide more easily from Force users, though Force users talented in tracking through the Force can overcome the clouding effect. Another series of scales, nearer her utility belt, contain gears and a coil of wire that can be launched and used as a grappling hook. The bacta packs are in her utility belt.
The most unique feature of her armor is the dual repulsorlift/air propulsion system. The repulsorlifts were repurposed from a speeder, the idea itself born of watching droids that had been fitted with similar technology. The air propulsion was borne of the mechanisms spacefaring suits used to propel themselves over short distances in the vacuum of space. The propulsion is designed to work in tandem with the repulsorlifts, and is incapable of true flight on its own, be it vertical or horizontal. Instead, it is used for evasion; with the repulsorlifts activated, Aela cannot move without them. The repulsorlifts are a detriment to stealth when activated, due to the iconic hum generated by the technology.
An array of Diatium power cells supply power for the suits mechanisms, located along the spinal plate of the armor. The air propellers are linked to small canisters of pressurized/gas air that are housed within the same section of the armor.
Dart, knife, and net launching mechanisms are installed along the arm and forearm plates, and are somewhat bulky to compensate the many added gadgets. Likewise, the thigh plates are somewhat bulky as well. Each launcher, depending on type, can be loaded with 3x darts, 3x knives, or 2x nets. The Verpine pea shooters are tiny shatter guns that shoot pea sized ball bearings. Ammo type varies. The flower shaped gas emitter installed in the chest plate shoots out a tight spray of gas, usually of a tranquilizing variety, of a range not exceeding ten feet. The thigh holsters are fitted for her twin 9mm automatic pistols and nothing else.
Sonic emitters in the forearm bracers produce loud, debilitating bangs capable of bursting and/or rupturing ear drums. The shoulder cannon is a heavy drain on power, and thus only has three shots. Any more uses of the canon could overload the system, rupture the power cells, and possibly kill her in a fiery, electrical explosion.
Gyro-magnetic stabilizers apply reverse thrust when maneuvering with the jet pack, and help keep Aela centered when the repulsorlifts are engaged. The jet pack itself has a nutrient tank attachment to house her beloved Ysalamiri, affectionately called 'Miri'.
Her crushgaunts are fairly standard, and enable her to fire her high calibre slugthrowers without snapping her wrist. They are, however, detachable, enabling her to utilize the varios gloves she purchased from one of her favorite Force hunters, Triam Akovin. Likewise, her boots are detachable as well, primarily for Kitty Kat Skull Crushers, as she prefers to call them.
Like all armors, even ones made of a nearly indestructible alloy, has weak spots. Namely, the back of the knee, the space where forearm and bicep meet, arm pits. The armor isn't heavy, per say, not without her entire weapons loadout, but extensive engagements will tire her out.
