THE STORY SO FAR: Here

He was knocked back to floor once more.

Right.

This Devaronian was going to get knocked on his butt.
"It must be hard, being so ugly." Gail quipped. raising his hand and was just about to throw the Force at the thug, when two legs appeared in front of him and a feminine voice could be heard. His eyes wandered upwards to see the back of the blonde head that was the cause if this whole thing to begin with.

And the Devaronian stood a few paces back from a moment ago.

A coy smile spread on his lips.
"If you want a drink, my dear, then all you have to do is ask." he said, getting to his feet. "No need to beat people up for it." he quipped as he stood next to her.

And the Devaronian just didn't know how to back down.

Gail sighed as the alien came swinging once more.

He hated using the Force on civilians, but if they can't catch a hint, then there really was no choice. So he flicked his fingers as the horned man was charging at the woman this time. The Push sent to windmill flying a few paces back and landing on his butt.
"Look friend, I don't want any more trouble. So I'll buy you a new drink. How's that?" he told the Devaronian, before turning to the very pretty lady that had stepped between him in and his attacker. "Can I get you one as well as a thank you?" he asked her.

How was it that Taryn always found herself amidst the company of these sorts of men? She seemed to be a magnet for them; some twisted humor aligned with the path she walked that always put her into contact with the same sort. Witty, quick tongued, arrogant....and in this case drunk. Tar sighed and rolled her eyes when she was first spoken to. "Believe me, I am perfectly capable of buying my own drink." she point out. "But I'll remember not to step in if I ever come across you again."

She had braced herself, the moment the horned alien had started to come back at her swinging. Taryn was no stranger to a good brawl, though it didn't seem as if it was going to come to that. One minute she was being swung at, the next her would-be opponent was being tossed away like a ragdoll. It caused the blonde to drop her arms and shift only enough to give the apparent Force user a long look, one with furrowed brow and somewhat narrowed eyes. If he could do that all along, why had he been pummeled in the first place?

Tar shook her head and loosened her stance. It didn't look as if the former attacker was going to get up and have another go - yet - so there was no need to keep on her toes. And, despite what she had said before, with the offer now out in the open, "Buying me a drink would be the gentlemanly thing to do." Whether she could buy her own or not, now that there was an offer to buy her one instead of an accusation? Who was she to say no?

UPTOWN FUNK

Yes!

At least he got her to have a drink.

Gail's grin was 3 nautical miles long as he turned back towards the bar...and looked straight into the Devaronian's flashing eyes.
"I don't like Jedi." he growled, staring down at Gail.
The Obsidian Knight made an exasperated face. "Would it make a difference if I say I'm not a Jedi?" he asked, leaning backwards to get the Devaronian's breath out of his face. In answer, he got a snarl as he got grabbed at the front of his shirt again.

Seriously?

As he got flung across the room again, his silver blade got ignited and instead of flopping to the ground again, he used the Force to land in a fight-ready stance.
"I suggest you stop your harassment, friend, and rather have a drink with us." he said sternly. Mouse let out a binary whimper in the corner next to the door.

The Devaronian snickered and let out a whistle.
"You think I'm alone, Jedi?" he sneered as a bunch of thugs filed into the bar. "You don't scare me." People were quite alarmed at this and started leaving the building.
"I won't blame you if you leave as well, Miss." Gail told the blonde before looking back at the Devaronian.

As the horned alien stepped forward with his lackeys, the Knight sighed.
"Again, I'm definitely not a Jedi and never will be. No stop this stupidity before someone gets hurt." Gail told him, squaring his feet. On the one hand he hoped the lovely lady would leave with the rest of the people, but on the other hand, he hoped she stayed. She seemed to know her way around a bar brawl.

Not liking the Jedi seemed to be a pretty common place trait among the people Taryn was generally associated with - and that wasn't even counting the Mandalorians she was associated with. Granted...most of her clan seemed to have a better understanding of space wizards and all their strange abilities, but that was neither here nor there at the moment. No, at the moment there was a very hostile alien who clearly wasn't going to be made happy one way or another.

This fact made Taryn sigh heavily, and as the people who had been innocently minding their own business began to flee the building, the blonde turned herself to the bar and gestured to the off-put looking bartender to give her something to drink. If this was going to go down - and from the fact that there were more bodies filing into the room now it was going to - then she needed something sharp in her system. Whether to heighten her sense or dull them was up in the air.

Once a shot of something dark was placed in front of her, Tar took it up, tossed it back, then exhaled sharply as she set the glass back down. The burn in her throat was only mildly distracting, and only until the pair behind her started speaking again. "Oi, come on already." the blonde groused as she worked to peel the jacket she had been wearing off of her frame. "Are you two gonna hug it out, do a little dancing maybe?" She didn't wait for an answer from either of them. The shot glass she had emptied was picked, and her body pivoted as one of the Devaronian's lackeys moved forward. Tar then flat palmed the shot glass into the approaching man's face with force before bringing a leg up to boot him hard in the chest.

Taryn wasn't going to come out of this one unscathed, she could feel it already, and ohhhh what hell she was going to get from Rixa at their next check in because of it. But, at least it would be one heck of a story to tell! ...Though this not-Jedi definitely owed her a drink or two now.

Well, she wasn't soft spoken, that's for sure.

He blinked in confusion for a second or two as he looked at her as she spoke to him and the humanoid, the hand holding the lightsaber hanging limply at his side. He actually hated using it. Where was the fun and thrill of a good brawl when you wield a shiny blade?

And then that fun and thrill kicked into gear.

As the girl smashed a shot glass into a thug's face, Gail flashed a grin at the Devaronian before taking a quick front hand jab at the alien's nose.

The big guy took a few steps back while holding his nose before letting out a roar. Gail was on his toes and ready for the tremendous right hook that came his way from the enraged alien. Dodging the blow, he danced around the big guy before grabbing a big tankard off a table and clobbering the Devaronian over the head with it.

Jumping out of reach of the windmill, he collided with another thug that was sneaking up behind him. The man was swift in grabbing Gail from behind, holding his arms in such a way that he couldn't do anything.
"Oh c'mon! Are we doing this now?!" he asked as the very aggressive Devaronian approached him while he was held.
"You're not exactly normal, now are you? So of course we are!" the alien answered, his voice thick from the blood streaming from his nose.
"Greeeat." Gail said sarcastically and braced for the punch that would surely land on his stomach.

The worst thing about dealing with someone's lackeys was the fact that they just didn't know when to stay down. The one that Taryn had smashed glass into the face of was a prime example of this. He had gotten up, the bridge of his nose busted open and pieces of glass stuck into his skin, and yet it didn't slow him down any. Tar blew absentmindedly at a loose piece of hair in her face before she braced herself for the retaliation, and it came full force. While for the most part, the blonde was good at protecting her face, she had not quite been expecting to be tackled around her middle and run back into the bar. Her back collided with the edge of said bar, not even padded by the arms wrapped around her due to their lower position on her frame.

Pain had immediately shot up and down her spine, but it wasn't enough to dull her sense. Taryn brought an elbow down into one of the man's shoulder blades as harshly as she could manage, and fought to get one of her knees up into his face more than once. She did not do this without suffering a couple of blows to her sides and back, and even a flailing (but effective) one to her face, but eventually she connected her knee just right with the guy's mouth and already battered nose. This time he toppled over - with a helping shove from Tar - and stayed down once he hit the floor.

There was no time for her to breathe however considering the source of all this trouble was clearly in no better shape than Tar herself had just been in. Rather than dive forward and engage however, the Mandalorian leaned over the bar and grabbed the first large, heavy bottle she could get her hands on. Then she turned, took a couple of steps forward, and threw the bottle as hard as she could at the side of the Devaronian's head. And once the bottle was out of her hand, it and the other hand fell to her hips so that a pair of blasters could be pulled from the holsters there in place and aimed at the grunts holding the not-Jedi in place.

"Alright boys, I think maybe there's been enough dancing for the night. Too many partners and not enough Jedi to go around." A brawl was all well and good, but only when the odds weren't so dangerously out of Tar's favor. And considering she had stuck up for the not-Jedi? It meant his odds were her odds, and she definitely didn't like the way this had turned out. Thus the aimed and ready blasters.

Yeahp. Right in the stomach.

And what a punch. It knocked all the air straight out of Gail's lungs. He doubled over as much as he could with his arms held at such an awkward angle. He could not even summon his lightsaber at this angle. Darn it all!

And then a bottle collided with the Devaronian's head.

A pained chuckle escaped from Gail's lips from where he was still doubled over. Oof. That felt like a cracked rib. The lady's voice then rang out through the empty bar and he felt the thug's grip on his arms tighten. Gail used this opportunity of distraction and glanced backwards over his shoulder a bit.
"Hey, Ugly, you should pay better attention." he said before bringing back his head with vehemence into the guy's face.

The crack of the nose was satisfactory and the grip on his arms loosened instantly.

With a spin that resulted in a pained gasp from Gail, he then sent a Force Push into the man before finally summoning his blade into his hand. Igniting it, he held it at the Devaronian's throat as the alien righted himself.
"That's enough fun now. I offered the hand of peace and you rejected it. Now either you take your goons and get out of here or I arrest your arse." he said, trying to stand as tall as his ribs would allow.
"You can't do that." came the gruff reply.
"As a Knight Obsidian, I think I can. But Arx Obsidian is kind of overflowing with lowlives like yourself, so I'll let you walk away this once." Gail answered.

He then glanced over at the woman that was still holding some scary looking blasters. Where the heck did she get them from on that small body? And he wasn't too confident that she won't use one on him as well.
"Uhm, what do you say about getting that drink I owe you, somewhere that has not been smashed up?" he asked with a nervous smile. He did not, however, remove his blade from the Devaronian's face. Gail looked back at the alien, eyebrows raised in silent question.
"Fine. We'll go. But watch your back, Jedi. You won't always be so lucky to have help around." the Devaronian spat before backtracking and motioning for his men to follow him out the door.

As the lowlives left the bar, Gail turned off his lightsaber and let out a pained sigh as his hand went to his side.
"Well that was fun." he groaned.

The standoff had been impressive, and it seemed for just a moment that the thugs were going to press their luck. That was of course until this not-Jedi announced his station to what was left of the lingering bodies within the bar. A slow sigh was exhaled through Taryn's nose and the frown that was etched onto her face deepened considerably at this news. Great, just great. Not only was the good drinking hole she had found all smashed up now, but she had now exposed herself to one of the Knights Obsidian to boot.

Lovely.

"I think a drink is the least thing you owe me at the moment." she sounded off to him in reply regardless, though the blasters in her hands remained unwavering. Tar remained in place, ready to start firing if anyone made a wrong move or this all got started back up again. Luckily these thugs seemed to take a hint, and once they finally left the blonde lowered her blasters and holstered them once again.

"Are all of your evenings so eventful?" she asked once this guy had spoken up to her again. "I'm going to need to know if you're the sort that trouble just sort of...follows around everywhere you go or not. See, I already have plenty of that in my life, and I need to know whether or not I need to adjust for more chaos, and whether a drink or two is worth it or not."

She was already pretty busted up, and so was he from the looks of him. Taryn lifted a hand to touch the corner of her mouth where the guy she had been tussling with hit her. Busted lip, was a little swollen, and the lower part of her cheek was sore. While everything else she could hide easily enough with posture and careful seating, blows to the face? Not so much. Rixa was going to have a field day with this one.

"So, where's this other place you were talking about?" she finally asked, dropping her hand away from her face to rest it against her hip instead.
