Diplomacy with new factions

Here are several brand new factions that may be worth investigating doing diplomatic activities with:
  1. New Republic
  2. Commonwealth
  3. Pentastar Alignment
  4. Techno Empire
We could have all four of these factions convene on Voss at once, but perhaps it might be best to make a choice first.

if we met with people it would be in the Vaynai temple where there is the convention rooms for such things. It is one of the reasons we constructed it as the public temple for people to go to

To my knowledge, we haven't attempted diplomacy with some existing factions. First Order being one.

We had a rather rough interaction with the Mandalorian Clans during the evacuation of the Jedi Academy at Yavin 4. Some diplomacy with our northern neighbors is probably a wise course of action.

I agree, our first order of buisness diplomacy-wise should be making certain that juggernaut to the north-west doesn't think of us as their next target. With both GR and OS gone, it's safe to say they're looking for something else to shoot at.

Personally since we are now strictly Jedi diplomacy with the First Order should end. They are decidedly bad guys. This is no secret in the galaxy and the Ren are decidedly dark side force users. If we are going to be true to the decision made the FO needs to be removed from any consideration.

I would also be interested in the NR is going to just be a new GR or GA.

I'm not disagreeing, but even during the Cold War, the United States maintained some diplomatic mission with the Soviet Union. The fact that you identify them as an adversary is more reason for diplomacy, not less.

Same rationale as with the Mandalorian Clans.

The clans I fear we don't have the activity to go up against even with story being a large factor. First Order the same. I do see your point. I think we need to really push to write some good stories to generate interest. If we can tap some writers from these factions on the shoulder and see if they will craft a compelling story I think it will go a long way to make the SJ and the FO the light and dark power houses. I know that GA is vying for that, but they are more neutral than good guys to me. Their Jedi have always been okay with killing.

One reason why I have Jaron and JJ active. That story would be huge considering they are SJ and FO. I just need help on that end.

Yeap this.. ^

At least to start. However, I do like the idea of the cold war thing with the FO. They look like a fab group and strong activity wise.

As for the Commonwealth, and the Penastars I don't know much of their faction philosophy (I have not looked at them yet) but if they are on the same side as us that is something we can look at in the future.

The New Repubs, are very new and need to get more established before we go to them I think. Let see what happens with them, and how they go activity wise.
