Dirty Dealings (Broorn Sabor)

Audrey Thénardier

Crime is a Family Business
If there was one place anyone was sure to find a more wreched hive of scum and villiany it was the desert planet of Tatooine. More than often underhanded dealings and backalley agreements were made here, and no one was ever the wiser. Something of a status quo on a planet run by the Hutts, yet they weren't the only criminal organizaion to big their hands into the sandy dunes of this dirt ball of a planet.

A small shuttle had landed in the Mos Eisley spaceport as night had fallen on the planet. It's origina suggested Mon Calimarian and yet it seemed more like a smuggler ship. What made it even more odd was that those who departed from the ship itself were non-alien at all. Three brutish looking humans, all dressed in smuggler gear, and a holodroid (think PROXY from the Force Unleashed), had exited. The small group had checked around, making sure they weren't being watched, before exiting the port itself and making for the nearest Cantine.

The men seemed to guard the droid more carefully as a valuable passanger, given how they surrounded him as they walked. They kept checking around the area, seeing as some of the citizens watched them but giving threatening looks to make them turn the other way. The droid only only about contently, knowing that it had it's mission to accomplish and nothing more.

Eventually entering the Cantina the group eyes the area, looking for the person in question. Finally one of them had spotted who they were looking for, [member="Broorn Sabor"]. Given the reliable informat they had they were lucky to have found the outlaw here and now, and on such a short notice from thier superior.

They all apporched, ingoring the looks from some of the others in the bar, before standing behind him with the the droid asking [Mr. Sabor? Mr. Broorn Sabor?] in a petite, feminine voice.

Broorn was seated in the back of the cantina, attempting to speak with some Twi'lek. "Listen to me...'cause lemme tell ya' somethin', girl...you got one nice a-" His head jerked back as the Twi'lek's open hand connected with his jaw. The woman stormed off angrily. "W-WAIT! I-I-I...!" He sighed in defeat as the Twi'lek exited the cantina. He removed his stainless steel flask, taking a quick swig before gritting his teeth in pain due to the burning sensation in his chest.

"Mr. Broorn Sabor?"

His head quickly shot up, staring at the droid with wide eyes. He shifted uncomftorably in the worn seat, before he finally began to speak. "I don't owe you credits or somethin', right?" He asked with a rather nervous and panicked tone. "Or if this was about that Trandoshan's wife...I don't know nothin' 'bout it, aight?" He muttered.

That was once at least one of the large, hulking men most likely saw Broorn's hand slowly shift over to a holster on his side which appeared to contain a arrow of some sort.

Some of the men, seeing Sabor's hand reaching for his weapon, began to tense as they reached for thier own. Obviosuly it was something of a matter of senses and hostility starting to spark among them.

The droid however stepped in and said [Please, Mr. Sabor, this we've nothing to do with any previous transactions or agressions you may be involved with. We're here to send you a message from our employer, who wishes to offer you a contract of sorts.]

The droid, programmed as she was, had kept a pleasent and proper voice despite the hostile situation starting to grow. Even her mannerism as she spoke was so proper and collected that it would almost seem that she was oblivious to the whole matter, yet the obvious nervous tone of voice said otherwise. At that it would be clear this droid was mainly used as a servant, if nothing more than a messanger.

His hand slowly drifted away from his weapon, before he finally managed to calm himself. "Who is your "Employer", I don't know him do I?" He questioned quietly. He forced an artificial grin, before turning back to his table, taking another sip of his alcoholic beverage. "Maybe y'all should just take off, eh? I ain't a fan of workin' with bootlicks like your lil' buddies over 'ere...and your so-called "Employer." Another swig, and another...this Chiss had a serious alcohol addiction. "So, why don't you just...fly off or somethin'..."

"Careful who you're talking about there, buddy!" one of men threatened, as if a response to both the remark about his employer and himself and the other in-general.

Before anymore could be said, as if to divluge too much imformation, the droid interupted yet again with [Please, Mr. Sabor. If you'll at least here out offer. Our employer is willing to pay you handsomly. If, perhaps, there's somewhere more private we can relocate to so you can speak with them yourself?]

Part of why the droid was also around, as it seemed, was to be the mediator among the tensious cantina. Whoever had entrusted her with this obviously put a lot of faith that the dealings with the Chiss would go smooth enough.

He stared up at the barking bodyguard. The remark did not frighten him...only the hulking brute that appeared to be able to crush a man's skull with his boot. He nodded slowly. "Sure, I talk to 'em...but I'ma tell ya' somethin'...I'ma send ya' bootlick of an employeer to Hell if you threaten me one more time..." Ah, how much Broorn delighted in using the term "Bootlick." It was such a great insult, and Broorn loved nothing more than to piss people off. He climbed out of his seat, staring up at one of the guards. "Lead the way, brother!" He declared mockingly, unable to hold back a grin.

Despite the futher insults and tension the guards had kept thier composures from going out of hand. They waited until the Chiss was standing before walking him out of the Cantina and to a nearby closed repair station. One of the men checked, seeing it was locked, before pulling a device out that shorted the wiring to it to force the door open. After that they indicated for Sabor to go first, the droid following after before the men piled in last.

The repair station was dark and with only the lights from the outside providing illuination as they spoke. There were a number of broken or used droid and tool parts lying about on the shelves and the desks present. Whoever owned the place seemed to have adecent business going.

After a moment the droid stepped foward and said [Now then, allow me to introduce Lady Audrey Thénardier of Naboo.]

After that the holodroid's main function activated and her apperanced changed to that of a long-haired blonde woman with creamy brown skin. She wore a dark suit intended for a man, gloves on her hands, a tie around her collar, glasses on her nose, and had a long jacket over all. She stood with her arms crossed in a commanding pose which matched with her overall presence.

"Greeting, Mr. Sabor. I understand you've quite the 'aggressive' reputation around this secotr of the galaxy." she said with a proper yet coy tone.

[member="Broorn Sabor"]

"Y-y-y-y-you...y-your a w-woman?!" He gave a amazed glance at one of the hulking men. He then burst into complete laughter. "Your business must be in real bad trouble if you got a woman runnin' it. Or...or is she a cook or somethin'?" He asked, obviously confused. Broorn was scum and incredibly sexist, and that probably was not too difficult to put together. "Listen, I don't work for bootlicks...or a woman for that matter." He shook his head. "You gotta be kiddin' me..." He continued throwing around insults, most directed at the woman and the other half directed at the men who escorted him to this area.

(OOC: I apologize if you were offended by this. I am just roleplaying my character, who is a scumbag and a terrible, pathetic person. Please do not take this seriously and if you do, I will edit it. Once again, I apologize for my character's sexist remarks.)

(Lol it's all good. I play her as a bitchy type sometimes and have to apologize for it now-and-then lol)

Hearing the remark from the Chiss and Lady Audrey didn't seem so phased. She looked at him with a dull, annoyed stare while letting him laugh it up as much as he wanted. Some of them men watched him as well, seeming ready to strike him while still standing by and awaiting orders from their lady.

Once Sabor had stopped she asked "Finished?" once he cofirmed this she smirked and said "Good."

A moment later Audrey snapped her fingers and the three men moved in on Sabor. Two had grabbed him by the arms to keep him from struggling while the other landed a hard punch to his gut. He intended to take the wind out of Sabor and, given that he was drunk, would likey make him relive whatever he'd recenlty eaten in the process.

"I'm not opposed to you laughing at my men at your lesuire, Mr. Sabor." Lady Thénardier said while looking down at him. "But judge my business and dealings based on my gender, and I'll see to it your thronw into a sarlaac pit. Are we understood?"

[member="Broorn Sabor"]

Still unable to grasp the concept of a woman running a business, he smirked...that was until the men grabbed him. His eyes went wide. A strong punched connected with his gut, causing him to vomit on the ground. The punch sent the man to his knees, gasping for air. He stared at the woman with slight fear frozen on his face. "G-go back to the kitchen" He muttered. He was about to chuckle but that was until he realized that his insult was not as silent as he had originally hoped for. Anger had apparently gotten ahold of him, and he barked the insult a bit to loud, allowing the woman, and the three men to hear what the man had muttered.

With another inslut thrown the men were ready to pounce on him. Lady Thénardier, however, stopped them and walked up to him before kneeling down and grabbing his chin to look her in the face. Even though it was the holodroid moving for her, the life-like apperance and mannerism had made it seem as though she was truly there in person. This was what had made the men anxious to see what would happen.

"Mr. Sabor, I'm as patient as I was rasied to be. I can endure your insluts far longer than you can throw them. But as of right now, I'm in need of your...skills and knowledge, as it were, to acquire a few special shipsments for me. You can hear what I have to offer and recive a bountiful payment if you agree, or I can have my men beat you down into something less than bantha poodoo and leave you for dead in the Dune Sea. Your choice, depending on your next remark."

[member="Broorn Sabor"]

(Please say yes, I can only push her to how far she'll be annoyed before killing you lol)

He nodded his head in panic. "A-a-a-alright! T-t-the offer...y-yes?" He stuttered. "I-I-I apologize...I apologize for e-e-everythin'. M-m-m-my mistake, m-ma'am!" Sweat dripped down his forehead. "J-j-just give me your offer..." He was shaking uncontrollably. He then went silent, swallowing nervously. He repeatedly looked back and forth between the woman and the three men.

Letting him go and standing she said "Good. Now then, what I need for you, Mr. Sabor, is to secure a special package for me. A large shipment of spice has been aquired from a rival...business partner."

She indicated for one of her men to step foward before showing the Chiss a small device that soon displayed a hologram. The first was of a Rodian, fashionably dressed and looking upstart and mighty. It would be clear that this seemed the type of person the Lady Thénardier would know in one respect or another.

"His name is Greeon Juduro. He runs a minin operation outside of Sullust, but has recently forbode any more dealings with my shipping compnay. In reality he's hoping to sell the spice off to a different buyer who's, shall we say, of another opposing for I stand against. What I want from you, Mr. Sabor, is to track down the ship where the spice is. Secure it. Kill anyone you find aboard, and then bring it back to the appropriated location where you will be paid your due." As she spoke the holoimage displayed a shipping vessel that was the same one Sabor would need to find and the coordinates to the planet he would need to go afterward. Once finished she asked "Any questions?"

[member="Broorn Sabor"]

"Y-yeah, how much will you be payin' me to murder. Ya' see, I can't kill an awful lot of people for only one hundred credits. I best be gettin' paid good, like real good." He cleared his throat, pulling himself back up and dusting off his trench coat. "Will these people be armed? Also, you got a preference of how you want me to kill 'em?" He asked. He then removed a cigar, igniting it with a metallic lighter. "Where will this spice be located? 'Cause I'm fixin' to just get to the spice, take off, and that's that. "It's also gonna be incredible difficult to track down this ship with no information. What system is he in? 'Cause I'm prohibited to enter several as I...I got the death sentence on...7 of 'em...No, nine of 'em. Ya' know what I'm sayin'?"

"You'll be paid your prefer compensation. Does 1 million credits sound sufficent?" she asked casually. "Every other peice of information you'll need is on this datapad." One of the guards held it out and displayed it to Sabor as indication. "And how you chose to kill them is you option. In reality, Mr. Sabor, this is meant to be nothing more than an act of piracy. You and I were never truly involved and everyone, with the execption of Mr. Juduro, goes away happy. These men will help with your assignment, unless you have your own to call on, and I'll expect to hear word within the week." She gave him a moment to respond however he wanted before simply saying "I've put my trust in you, Mr. Sabor. For your sake, I'd better not have been wrong. I'm opposed to being wrong."

After that the image of Lady Thénardier dissapered from the holodroid and it now returned to its original form. She shook her head for a moment before looking to [member="Broorn Sabor"], waiting to hear his response as it seemed he was now leading the operation.

"No need for them..." He declared, gesturing towards the three men. He then looked to the droid. "I'ma take that datapad...if that's aight..." Without waiting for a response, he snatched the datapad, glancing it over. After about a minute or two, he handed the datapad back with a grin. "Is this Juduro fella on board?" He asked, removing a datapad of his own.

[Unlikely.] The droid answered. [Mr. Juduro is not the type to oversee every transaction under his opperations. You are of course, as Madam Thénardier has stated, free to do with the rest of the crew as you wish. Until then we will await your arrival at the meeting point within the week. Good day, Mr. Sabor.]

With that the droid and the three men all turned and left from the repair depot, leaving [member="Broorn Sabor"] to do with the information as he pleased. By the time they had left Sabor would find all the information he needed. How the men would be armed with stationary weaponry, nothing too advanced. How the ship was currenlty docked on one of the moons of Sullust before eventually make it's trip to Nar Sharda. And finally the amount of spice he would need to transport once he managed to seige the ship.

(So idk if you want to actually go through the mission or do one big time skip. Up to you either way.)

Few days later, Broorn landed at a small landing pad at the supposed meeting location. He attempted to conceal the bit of blood on him by throwing his trench coat over it, but it didn't look too perfect. He exited his vehicle, spitting some chewing tobacco out onto the filthy ground. He inspected the area, nervously looking from side to side. He had just committed a mass murder, sane people tended to not feel normal after a deed like that. However, the question was...where the hell were these people? Did he happen to land at the wrong location or something? He took a sip from his bottle of whiskey, taking a seat on the filthy ground.

The meeting point indicated with the data was on the forst moon of Endor. The location itself looked to be the remains of an old Imperial base once established there hundreads of years ago. After his ship had landed it had been a few minutes before over a dozen men, including the three who'd talked with [member="Broorn Sabor"] on Tatooine, revealed themselves from hiding in the forest. All were armed and pointed thier weapons at him before someone came walking out to greet him.

"Well, well. Good to see you made it in one peice, Mr. Sabor." Lady Audrey Thénardier said as she walked up to him. She finally stopped once she was three feet away and asked. "I trust it all went well? And my spice is all accounted for?"

"Well? Hardly..." He said, revealing his blaster bolt wound. The wound was bandaged and the bleeding had come to a halt but it was obviously causing Broorn plenty of pain. "Also, yeah...all the spice is in 'ere." He said, taking another swig from his whiskey bottle. "Well...I lost a gram or two...but all the rest is there. Everybody on the ship is dead, I slit most of their necks once they went down to be positive. Now, if you expect me to kneel or somethin'...you ain't royalty...nor would I kneel down to a woma-I mean, I'd prefer to remain standing..." He corrected himself rather quickly. Broorn knew how most wealthy people operated. Most of them expected everyone to grovel at their feet and Broorn had experience with that with the last wealthy person he dealt with. He then looked at his bottle, then back to the woman. He forced an obviously artificial smile.
