SETTING INFORMATION
Structure Name: Dizzy’s Bar
Classification: Cantina / Gambling Parlor / Entertainment Venue
Location: Red Sands, Laranis II, Laranis System – Seswenna Sector, Outer Rim Territories
Affiliation: D’zall “Dizzy” Vos
Accessibility: Located in the heart of Red Sands’ Red-Light District, Dizzy’s is a popular destination for spacers and locals alike in search of a stiff drink, a game of sabacc, or a night of leisure. Open to all, the bar is known to pay the local Security to ‘look the other way’ on its activities.
Description: Officially listed as a ‘house of worship’ on the corporate register, Dizzy’s is actually a ‘wretched hive of scum and villainy’, known to play host to some of the worst scoundrels and dregs in Red Sands. If you’re looking to hire a bounty hunter, smuggler, or basically do anything illegal, Dizzy’s is your port of call. Serving rot-gut liquors and conducting several gaming tables on the first floor, Dizzy’s is a popular destination for workers looking to blow off steam. A small stage usually features a band and 5-6 nubile dancers, who for a price will give prate shows in the back room. Upstairs, for discerning customers, are a number of private rooms which – together with their permanent occupants, human and alien escorts from a dozen worlds – can be rented by the hour. Anything goes at Dizzy’s, provided you have the credits to pay. Deadbeats and those who fail to pay back the high-interest loans received from Dizzy often discover that his troupe of Houk bouncers are willing and able to remind them that at Dizzy’s ‘money talks and poodoo walks’!

POINTS OF INTEREST
First Floor Dizzy’s Bar, as one enters from the street, passing through the weapons detectors, is large room, filled with numerous tables, some of which host games of sabacc. Always crowded, there is a small dancefloor in front of the stage, and two elevated platforms for dancers. The room is smoky and the music is loud, joined by the din of gamblers and drunkards. Huilking Houk bouncers flank either side of the door and take up position about the place, watching like hawks for trouble. Through a threadbare curtain, customers follow dancers to the “VIP Lounge” for private shows, and more than one has had his pockets picked while he was ‘distracted’. Large display screens show sporting events from around the galaxy on the HoloNet, and bets can be placed at the bar. There is a kitchen, but since a grease fire some years back, it has long-since ceased to feed anyone.
Second Floor At the top of the industrial staircase, a narrow corridor finds rooms to either side. For hourly rent, along with their occupants, a ‘lodger’ receives a bed, private refresher, and chair, along with drink service to his room. At the end of the corridor sits Dizzy’s private office and bedchambers, across from which, a communal kitchen and small lounge area exists for his ‘permanent residents’.

SECURITY - Medium
Dizzy has hired a number of Houk to work as his bouncers, with Houk being his exclusive preference for this position. Stern and unforgiving, these hulking figures are seasoned brawlers and many are veteran mercenaries. Well-paid and given privileges by their employer regarding drinks and other entertainment, they are loyal and have a reputation of being some of the city’s toughest. More than a few carry hold-out blasters and vibroblades and are quite proficient in their use. At any time, 10-12 of these bouncers are on duty, and Dizzy is believed to have roughly 20-25 total in his employ, some of whom work collecting on loans.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Most come to Red Sands to work hard in the factories, refineries, spaceport, or mines there. Dizzy was not one of those. Instead, the small-time gangster and loan shark set up his business catering to those who do. Ruthless and cocky, Dizzy turned his small bar into a destination and veritable landmark in Red Sands, and through his loan-sharking he has risen to become one of the most influential figures in its underbelly. If you want to hire someone for ‘morally questionable’ deeds, need a loan fast and don’t mind the 300% interest rate, want to locate something on the black market, or if you need to smuggle something (including yourself) off from Laranis II, Dizzy is the man to see. He is a font of information regarding such things, and his reputation for making ‘connections’ is well known. Dizzy pays well for protection from the Security, and anyone who would try to upset his business would find themselves at risk of facing his loyal customers, bouncers, and the government.

This is fine, but the submission needs a Security Rating.

[ Provide a Security Rating (choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum)

Since you mention the Laranis System in the submission, please link it.

Houk are not the most commonly known alien species, so please link them.
