The DL-44 Outlaw needs no introduction. Its familiar profile has been on the market in some form or another for centuries. Ever since the first Merr Sonn knock offs armstechs have been copying the 44, modding it, redesigning every nanometer. None have managed to improve all that much over the original. Even for today the 44 is a well crafted blaster, almost a work of art. Back when it was first manufactured it was simply ahead of its time. Despite all these years custom models are a still popular sight on Level 1313, throughout the Outer Rim and across Hutt Space. Its not a perfect blaster, the bulky cooler unit does not always make up for its overheating issues. But its damn near close.
Each Outlaw is a custom model, its not so much a single design as it is a popular list of requests for workshops on shadowports and in undercities. A little bit of extra kick, some high tech accessories, maybe a scope attachment. This is the kind of gun for someone who's trying to make their mark on the galaxy. It makes no apologies for what it is. Bold. Deadly. Often illegal. If you've got a 44 pointed at you its probably best just to do whatever they say.
