Daella entered the temporary meeting place of the Senate along with one of the leading Coruscant Security Force officers. The officer asked for a Jedi to accompany him. He also requested the presence of @[member="Cody Jorin"]. Several other Coruscant Security Force troops joined him, yet they remained in the lobby. Only himself and two others boarded a Senate pod and entered the assembly.
The Senate had finished its business for the day. There was nothing else on the agenda except for announcements. The leading officer, Major Pat Sotanax a blue Duro, was permitted to take center stage. He wore the typical CSF officer attire.
Speaking quickly and with concern, Pat announced, "Honorable Senators, I am CSF Major Sotonax. Representing the security force that guards your life, I must apologize for the events that transpired resulting in the loss of lives of our Senators. It served to remind us that we have been lacking in alertness, and we resolve to fix that and prevent future attacks."
After a pause, Sotonax continued, "The chance for a future attack remains, though I will tirelessly work to prevent it. Yet if such an attack happens again, it is likely that any Senators that tragically perish will be rendered unrecognizable via visual confirmation. Several of your peers died in such a manner in this last attack, and identifying the remains has been difficult. The reason for this is that we have an incomplete DNA database of the incumbent Senate."
Then, Sotonax pressed several buttons on the console before him. Contact information for the Forensics division of the CSF would have been sent to every Senator, both absent and not.
Finishing his announcement, Sotonax said, "I ask for each one of you to please volunteer either a blood sample or name and contact information of a direct biological family members. Such a family member must be a parent, sibling, or child. With that, we can adequately identify future victims, should the time ever come, and quickly inform your families so that the grieving process can begin. I do hope though that I never have to identify any of your bodies in the future, though, and I wish you all the best of health. Thank you for listening."
With his announcement finished, Sotonax's pod departed from the assembly. Sotonax and Daella exited the building. Further announcements continued until the Senate adjourned for the day.
OOC: Please reply with your Senator's personal choice in whether to give blood, contact information of immediate family members, or decline the CSF's request entirely. There is no legal consequence for any choice by itself.
