Do Minor Factions count as contracts?

Just wondering, because I'm working on making a shipbuilding company for the Novas, and I want to grab a couple of other small companies, but I dunno if we'd all get counted if the contract's for a minor faction.

It depends. A minor faction counts as a Player Run Organization. So for low-end contracts... yeah, it totally counts. But if you're trying to get to Tier 5 or so, then no. As only contracts with large companies and major factions count.

That being said, I think it is frowned upon for multiple companies to attempt to use a single thread for different Tier Advancement requests. Like... if two tier 4 or 5 companies wrote a contract with eachother... exchanging technology and goods on a large scale over a 20 post thread... ok, cool. They can both use it. (IMO anyway)

But if you're got 3 or more companies involved that all want to use the thread as a major contract... I would suggest adding an extra 5-10 posts per involved company and cross your fingers that you get away with it. =p

Yes, they count as contracts with a faction which is not major (which doesn't become truly relevant until Tier III).

Okay. So, to sum it up:

I can use anything T3 or lower, and link them together by contract for advancement, but in order to help said companies past T3, I'd need to have the Novas made into a major faction. So, at the present time, I'm okay to make myself a ship company, and set them up with Watchwrath, which is what I wanted to do anyway.
