Many seasons had passed since Mikilanna Mihaly stood upon the surface of Felacat. She possessed many memories from her childhood, ranging from simple play dates with her peers to walking through the sacred halls of the Felacatian Senate Palace hand-in-hand with her Father Senator Zhizoer Mihaly. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Senator Palace, not because of its lavish decor, but because she was thoroughly interested in politics like her Father. She was being groomed to replace her Father one day, tending fancy gatherings and allowed to sit on sessions of lesser government topics. Then something changed: the Force. The moment she was shipped off to the Jedi, her life underwent a radical change; and not in the traditional way of the Jedi. They had failed her. And yet, her Father knew nothing of her life since the day she left; returning for the first time in years a changed woman shrouded in darkness, mystery, and illusions.
Today was suppose to be day of reunions between Father and Daughter, whilst the Senate Palace was hosting an extravagant and formal party. Citizens of monetary standing, Senators of Felacat and their families, representatives of the CIS, and offworlders of notable and wealthy reputation would be in attendance; even a band with dancers was contracted to be the main entertainment for the evening. For Mikilanna's part, she didn't really want to be around her Father. Physically she had undergone a transformation. She harbored a dark secret only a select few people knew. But mostly, she resented her family for giving her over to the Jedi. A feeling of betrayal she could never wager forgiveness for. And for her Mother, she felt more betrayed by the woman who gave her birth. Wasn't a Mother suppose to protect their children? To Mikilanna, her Mother failed in her parental duties. Yet, Mikilanna was here visiting Felacat; mainly out of interest in their science community.
A student of politics, she played the game well. But her true dedication and passion was science; where she had earned the Eternal Empire's Empress' favor and was appointed Overseer of the Science Development Department. Through her alter persona, she manipulated her way to gathering most of the high minded scientists in the galaxy to work for her at The Royal Institute of Science. Through passion, free of restraints, and dedication, she developed the best science program in the galaxy; second to none. Her Father, who looked upon science with a skeptical view, would never approve of her career path. And if he ever discovered she was a Sith Lord, his heart would break.
Leaving her quarters in the Palace dressed in an attire less appealing than she liked, for she never was a fancy dresser after leaving Felacat, she drifting down the hall toward the main ballroom where everyone was beginning to filter in; including her Father. This would be the last day she would ever talk to her Father, sensing impending turmoil brewing between the two. At least, regardless of her Father's judgements, their would be dancers and live music.
