Barkeep
In the darkness of space, above the spinning world of Rothana, brief illuminations glanced off the hull of the space station as engineers worked on its construction. Not far away another station, smaller, more sleek of frame, underwent the same process. Slowly but surely, they were coming together.
Elsewhere in Authority space other defensive platforms were being built, it was a colossal effort on the part of the government and the Techno Union that supplied materials and workers to supplement their own. In a month or more, depending on the world and how many space stations were being built in orbit, the work would be complete.
Norongachi watched from his quarters aboard the Hand of Fate, idly flicking his gaze between the paper work that demanded his attention and the construction ships moving between the stations. He found his index finger tapping itself against the desk top, either his subconscious was as bored as he was or he had developed a nervous tick.
"Emah," He called out in frustration. The A.I materialized in front of his desk, the holo-projector casting her form in a blueish hue.
"Yes, my liege." A quick and sarcastic snap salute did follow. It raised not a ghost of a smile from Salem.
"Any word from [member="Marek Starchaser"]?"
"None, your grand high grouchiness. Shall I try him again?" Her tone carried no mirth and was warranted, he'd been less than cordial these last few weeks and he doubted he would be until things settled down the the wake of Operation: The Fall.
"If you can spare the time." He responded.
"Well, i'm only coordinating half the fleets reorganization after your little coup oh and regulating two reactors more than capable of turning us to ash, then there's the engineering crew assignments across twenty-six star systems...." She was still muttering as her hologram faded out.
"Slow day then..." He said under his breath.
