DESCRIPTION

The Dominion class escort is designed to accompany and provide support to larger warships in Fleet engagements. It is also a well armed and capable vessel often tasked with escorting merchants through hostile space. It has the firepower to enter and win combat against other frigates and some light cruisers, making it an exceptionally dangerous target for lightly equipped raiding forces. Its ion cannons allow it the option of disabling targets without killing, or bringing down shields more quickly.

It has a small hangar space to be able to carry a single squadron of fighter vessels into combat for additional support.
