- Ground Control from above
- Interdiction Field
- Planetary holonet
- Government control
- Several cameras
- Solar Powered
- Deflector Shields
- Maneuvering Thrusters
- 1 SAN module in each
- Population Control: The satellite provides a holonet signal to the population, and is heavily monitored by the acting government.
- Inderdiction Field Above important areas, such as big cities or military bases, the satellite’s positioned there create an interdicton field to prevent hyperdrive jumps in that space.
- SAN AI The crew mostly works with the AI to handle traffic control and information gathering on a daily basis.
- Docking Ring To connect to nearby vessels for protection, or repairs.
- Mostly Automated But there’s always a skeleton crew to perform certain tasks.
- Free Connection In case of emergencies it provides free holonet access to the local population under it.
- Interior Crew is protected from radiation and harmful energy omissions while inside the satellite. The protection is actually for the SAN module, but they obviously profit.
- Weather: The satellite monitors the weather on the planet and relays it to the public.
- Interdiction Field For budget, and logical, reasons it cannot cover the entire planet.
- Population Control It has little mobility, as it was made to face down and perform minor course correction motions.
- Combat It has no offensive power, relying on nearby defensive ships.
- Free Connection It’s not the greatest, and is only released after the planet’s high command orders so.
A simple, but effective, satellite to provide population and traffic control, while also collecting and providing information to the relevant parties (often military and government). It has no firepower of it's own but it is placed on the path of patrol routes so there's always (in theory) a military vessel nearby. It is roughly the size of a small corvette, with docking rings to connect to nearby vessels for crew changes or to tow the satellite. While it can be boarded and has an acting crew, it is not a space station due to its size, and the fact the crew performs only a fraction of it's total functions.
It has several cameras aimed in every direction, but its focus is towards the ground. The few weapons it possesses are rotated into the satellite.
