Dominion of Shri-Tal

Alright so the dominion of Vaynai showed a few things... one that we can complete a dominion so nice work but that we also need the story aspect. Shri-tal is huge and steeped in story aspects of the universe. This world has combat, history, stardragons, beautiful locations, the invisible and black market that you can get equipment from or bounty hunter/mercenary guides.

So what kind of ideas would you guys like to see while crafting a story something that won't feel forced and won't be for burning out?

Hmm. This is something probably not suitable for this planet or story arc, where you see it going, and that's fine; just throwing it out.

I've had an idea of Connor (or someone else, of course) being...what's the word...not brainwashed, but a little corrupted in relation to the conflict and emotion inside him/them still not at peace with some forces on a planet that could lead to some hidden power or relic or...person?

He/they turns on his fellow Silver Jedi to seek something out that could be one of the above until he/they hopefully can be salvaged and saved.

Not sure, but I think it came along to give the character a new angle and inject that little bit of danger and peril for him/them/the planet.

Nonsense, but it's just been there for a while! Any other ideas? Can't wait to read them.

[member="Connor Harrison"] there is a cult on one of the moons (secretly they are still there) that was heavily into mental domination and influence. They could brainwash and with all the stuff and secrets buried things could happen.

Maybe he/they can, almost stubbornly, try to go clear the moon on their own or with another Jedi, or make peace with the cult, but suffer under their power and end-up corrupted with their internal struggle emphasised to make them an easy target and a nasty piece of work. They could then start by turning against the Silver Jedi...but without them knowing at first...like trying to sabotage things or cause injury?

And then it could lead to either a quest to stop the cult before they do anymore damage and save him/them from the brain-washing?

[member="Connor Harrison"] that is a great idea, the world offers story opportunities that aren't just for dominions but can evolve many others, healer trying to find a way to fight the plague on the moon, shadows looking at some of the darkside cults and influences in the mountains/moons. There is for the diplomatic minded ones deals that can be made with the invisible and black markets for equipment or supplies.

Well you started the ball rolling.

I just feel we could, as you say, work on more than just invasions. There are so many rich directions to take people:

Psychological struggles and development
Adventures / exploring without hostiles, just the unknown terrain
Dark Magic investigation and, maybe, alchemy and spell weaving

That sort of thing, so we don't need to feel it's all about cutting down baddies with a lightsaber, there is so much more the dangers and stories with the Silver Jedi!

[member="Connor Harrison"] exactly not everything has to be fighting that is just the easier thing to do. There is a nice quality story between Matsu, Rianna and Maya going on that hasn't had a lick of fighting just them working together to face the unknown. We can do a great deal about internal struggles

[member="Vladimir Kirov"] both would be welcome, Valdimir could be looking at the potential dangers of the outbreak on the moon.

I'll probably give Jeela a more inner-conflict storyline here. Despite her idealistic and selfless serving of the galaxy, she really isn't a very nice person. Very little empathy or understanding of others and the standard she holds herself to place her above others in her mind.
