Dominoes: Natural Progression

She was sick of this game already. The worst part was that she had essentially brought it on herself. To let her guard down for personal gain instead of thinking about the people who still considered her upstanding in some fashion or other was despicable. And here she was, lying on the 'bacta bed' that her own company had produced. So much for that healing process she had exchanged her soul for. It felt like she had sold her soul, at least.

The Rebel crew of Gen's personal blockade runner, Intangible, had been directed to set course for Subach's headquarters with her 'associate'. Hopefully, once she was back up and out of sight of Subach, she could burn her traces and take to the shadows again, keeping a low profile while increasing the profile of her faction. And, someday, she would have her revenge on Circe. But, for now, Gen was in bed, watching the oscillation of her own heartbeat portrayed on one of the monitors.

Lasedri had ordered for two guards to be stationed outside her sickroom. While she would have loved to give the command to take out her blackmailer, the explaination she would have to give for calling for such an act was just too sketchy. All that she could reasonably ask at this point was for them to make sure nothing happened to their leader. Later on, she would deal with Subach.
