Unlike many people in the galaxy, Dorinn Kragstrider did not have a birth world of his own. He was instead born in space, aboard his clan's ship: a Baleen-class heavy freighter, dubbed the Orestriker. In many ways, it was a mobile thanehold for the Dwarrow of Clan Kragstrider. They had long since travelled from their home in the Tingel Arm, becoming instead interstellar prospectors that mined valued ores from space debris.
It was into this life that Dorinn was born. When he grew old enough, his father and uncles began training him in various aspects of their work. From ore extraction to upkeep on their ship's systems, Dorinn was thrown right into the hard-working discipline of his people. His passion and skill, however, was in mechanical engineering. When not repairing or working on equipment upkeep, one could always find young Dorinn tinkering with machines.
At the age of 60, a young adult for a Dwarrow, felt the urge to set out on his own. Over the next few decades, Dorinn refined his craft among many venues. Starship assembly, droid repair, armor forging. You name it, and Dorinn has probably done it at least once.
At the age of 130, he finally had enough saved to open his own place. He settled for property in the lower levels of Coruscant, owning a mechanic shop simply called Black Dwarf Speeder Repair. He also became engrossed in the swoop racing culture of Coruscant, and eventually took over a swoop gang called the Terentateks. Through them and because of the meager police presence in the lower levels, he established a small criminal territory. Mostly working with money laundering and assault on other gangs, but protective of the innocent people just trying to make a living.
In recent years, Dorinn has made an alliance of convenience with the criminal syndicate known only as The Family, headed by Donna Ivory Stroud . He would offer mechanic and laundering services in return for help keeping the ultraviolent crime out of his territory. It has so far gone smoothly.

Strengths
- Hard as Stone: As a Dwarrow, Dorinn comes from a hardy upbringing. He has a much tougher constitution than most other near-humans. His species seem to be able to take on more harshness, be it injury or endurance, than typical humans.
- Mechanic: Having over a century of experience, Dorinn is highly skilled in mechanic work. If you need repairs to starships, speeders, or any other devices - Dorinn is your Dwarrow. He is even good at cobbling together machines of his own.
- Short: Despite the inborn toughness of Dwarrow, there is one apparent flaw in their biology: their height. There are going to be plenty of situations, both combative and otherwise, where Dorinn's shorter than average height will prove to be disadvantageous.
- Rough-Mannered: Perhaps a trait going hand-in-hand with his Dwarrow culture, but Dorinn can sometimes come off as a bit gruff and intimidating. He seems perpetually ornery, and the swoop ganger look does not help matters. While that does not mean he lacks a friendly side, it does take others a while to warm up to him.
