dose anyone read the star wars novels

Oh yes I know I think I have read one of his but only thing that bugs me about the star wars novels I find them boring for the first 100 pages or so they get off to really slow starts for me

I have bought I believe all the books save the E-books they had for like Boba (though the lost tribe they put into a hardcover form so happy) and most are enjoyable. Crucible the final EU book is a great send off and the Thrown books that I believe pretty much started the EU are classics. (yes Splinter of a Minds eye came out during the original trilogy but it was between the movies not post)

I've read most if not all the novels post Saga. I actually enjoyed the EU. I also love the RC books and Karen Traviss' Mando'ade. I so wanted to find out what happened to them. We only get a glimpse of what may have happened in the LotF books written by her.

Bunker-level Normal
Have read some Star Wars novels. Of note that I'll recommend:

Jedi Apprentice (series)
Young Jedi Knights (series)
Tarkin
Kenobi
Outbound Flight
Rogue Planet
Coruscant Nights (trilogy, skip #1)

My fave's:

The Thrawn Trilogy - made me fall in love with Chiss. Thrawn is golden!
X-wing Series - made me fall in love with flyboys. The Fab Four FTW!
Republic Commando Series - made me fall in love with Mando's and Clones.
Rebel Dawn & Rebel Stand (both NJO books) - made me fall in love with Jaina/Jag/Kyp & can't forget Wedge
Legacy of the Force Series - I held my nose while reading about JINO (Jacen in name only), but liked the continuation of the NJO story and characters. (Dark Nest Trilogy didn't happen in my eyes. ;) )

Oh and I forgot the Darth Bane Series. He's my favorite Sith Lord. :)
