STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Decently intelligent. He shows reasonable skill in adapting in certain combat situations, such as figuring out how to use a blaster when given one. That being said, his knowledge of some things and the Jedi arts are still a work in progress due to him spending most of his life on a single planet, but he is working on it.
+ Strong sense of justice and wanting to do the right thing.
+ Is rather kind and caring towards most people. Although he grows colder towards people he considers villainous.
+ Can be dedicated and loyal to those he is close to as well as not being easy to manipulate for causes he would deem to be wrong.
+ Is a decent shot, in part due to the Force helping him aim better.
+ / - Is usually on the quieter side and more soft-spoken. This behavior can slip depending on the situation, though.
+ / - May improvise with what to do in certain situations.
+ / - Can be lighthearted and/or humorous.
+ / - Can be sarcastic. Sometimes in a jokingly manner, sometimes in a mocking manner (Usually towards people he dislikes).

- Can be indecisive about certain decisions, which can end up stalling him at times.
- May act boldly/rashly in the face of danger with the most notable instance being his first run-in with slavers (which actually served as his debut to this site). While bravery can be appreciated, it may cause him to not think a plan through. As he got a bit older, he did learn to grow more cautious, though.
- Is a bit unaware of how some things work in the Galaxy, but has been improving on it over time.
APPEARANCE:
Doug stands at 5'9" and is of a relatively average looking build with a slight stubble on his face. He is of a very pale complexion and has a lot of freckles over his body. His most notable physical traits are his piercing, bright blue eyes and his moderate length curly hair that is of a flaming, coppery red color. His current outfit consists of the typical attire worn by most Jedis of tunics and occasionally the distinctive robe. Doug's own Jedi attire is of a silvery white and black color. As a Padawan, he also has a small part of his hair worn in a braid at the side of his head.
BIOGRAPHY:
Douglas was born as the only child of the moisture farmers Barry and Nancy Starwind on the planet Tatooine. It was a planet which he found a bit troublesome to live on due to the climate, but it was still what he called home. His childhood was uneventful with his parents working hard with the farm work and raising him in a loving manner. He was a cheerful child, but grew a bit more reserved as he got older. He began to take part in podraces during his adolescence and became relatively skillful at it to bring in extra money to help pay the bills that his family had to deal with. At the age of 17, he came back home and found that his parents were missing, with it turning out that they had been taken by members of a slave ring. In a panic, he began to track down where they might have been taken and found the ship that his parents were put on. Acting boldly when faced with the prospect of losing them forever, he ended up stowing away on the ship that was heading towards the slave camp on an unknown planet far away...
Once there, he waited for the coast to clear before he quickly ventured out alone towards the slave camp. On his way, a chance encounter occurred. He ran into the Jedi Master Joshua DragonsFlame who was heading towards the slave camp himself with the purpose of shutting it down. Doug's lack of equipment was quickly noticed, but he did not back down due to his worry about his parents. Thus, Joshua allowed him to tag along and he and the Jedi Master ended up working together to take on the slavers and free the slaves in the camp, which included Doug's parents. Around this time, it was discovered that Doug was actually Force Sensitive and when requested, he made the choice to travel with the Jedi Master to undergo the training to become a Jedi Knight. It seemed he finally found a purpose in life. His training would continue for another two years, where he went on more missions and underwent training exercises until the age of 19. During this time, he had become affiliated with the Silver Jedi Order as did his Master and fellow Padawans that Josh had also taken under his wing.
Then...
Two more years passed rather uneventfully for Doug. Now at the age of 21, Doug was deemed ready to finally build his first lightsaber and he and Josh traveled to the Crystal Caves of Tython to see this task through. Sometime after this little journey was over with and Doug had successfully built his Lightsaber, he continued to assist the Silver Jedi Order with other tasks, such as dealing with an Invasion of Charros IV, where he got a bit lost in the fighting. He also would continue with some more causal affairs, such as visiting the Jedi Temple on Alderaan with a group of the Silver Jedi.
Later down the line, something more serious came up regarding his home planet of Tatooine. Moisture farmers were disappearing and winding up dead and Doug was tasked alongside his Master and fellow Padawan Dusaro to investigate what was going on. Due to Doug having lived on the planet, his knowledge was seen as valuable and the personal nature of the campaign was important to him as well. He and Dusaro were to act as the leads during this mission with their Master taking a more supportive role. He was likely in for a type of mental anguish he had not felt in years...
The journey in the Galaxy far, far away continues...

Starwind's Lightsaber - The first lightsaber that Doug built following his mission to the Crystal Caves of Tython alongside his Jedi Master Josh DragonsFlame. It is his current main weapon of choice and holds a fair bit of meaning to him. The hilt's relatively "pretty" design was due to Doug wanting his first proper lightsaber to be special and unique to him following the many years he spent training up to the occasion. The crystal used for the weapon was a bright blue one that gives the actual blade itself a brighter color than the usual blue, reminiscent of a blue sky. Doug chose such a crystal following a brief meditation session where he saw a vision of Tatooine that he interpreted as wanting something to remind him of his home as well as of the supposed clear future ahead of him as a Jedi. Function-wise, it is a relatively standard Lightsaber with a good grip to it. (Credit to Saberz.com for the picture used above)
Defender of the Light - A special dagger that Doug received from the Silver Jedi Order as a gift following the First Order Invasion of Ossus for his services in aiding them in troubled times. The dagger is imbued with the light side of the Force and sports special properties due to what it is made of (See linked thread). It's more of a ceremonial item, but it has more practical uses as a secondary weapon as well as an item capable of dealing with dark side influences.
-Formerly used an average Training Lightsaber before his personal Lightsaber was built.
-Is capable of using a standard Blaster as a Secondary if he has to.
