Roderick was born to Coruscanti nobles and lived a very sophisticated upbringing. He attended a school for the arts as a child and mastered several musical instruments. He was an avid scholar and loved to read philosophy. As a young adult his parents sent him to medical school where he decided to become a psychiatrist. His dissertation research investigated a cannibalistic ancient Sith culture and the psychosis suffered from consuming human flesh. To say his research consumed him would be an understatement as Roderick soon developed his own taste for human flesh. His crime spree was legendary during his days before he was arrested by the Jedi and sentenced to time at Black Marsh Prison.
