APPEARANCE:
Draconis is average height, but still foreboding. He carries a warrior's stance and all who stand round him can sense the general air of menace about him. He is a trifling sight, which when provoked, will become all the more fierce. He has long wavy brown hair which flows like a horses mane. Piercing brown eyes which see through even the most veiled intentions. A scarred chiseled battle hardened face that speaks of many wars fought and many won. His muscular frame is prime and speaks of a warrior at his hiatus. He wears Sun Guard initiate armor which has been modified with a scarf of fine silk and etched with ancient Thyrsian battle runes. In his back sheathe is carried his Xyphos sword which is laced with gold and gilded with silver wiring. On his arm is carried his buckler, covered in rare minerals and sprinkled with gems worth several fortunes. Draconis is truly the sight of a mercenary tried and true.
BIOGRAPHY:
Draconis grew up on Thyrsus where he learned the Echani martial arts from his father. His mother had died in childbirth and thus he never knew her. When Draconis came of age he joined a Thyrsian militia like his father. One day a band of mercenaries had raided a small settlement and killed its inhabitants, Draconis's father had died defending the small farm. Vowing to avenge his father Draconis began searching for the mercenaries. He searched the old settlement for clues and found a Mandalorian blaster rifle. His people and the Mandalorians often fought, but the Mandalorians had never really invaded. Draconis took the blaster to his commander and they called for Jedi assistance. A Jedi master and his Padawan arrived some days latter and with Draconis's help they began their detective work at once.
They questioned a few farmers and learned of a band of men staying in a abandoned Sith cultist temple. The Padawan eager to earn his rank as Jedi decided to go straight to the temple without first warning the authorities or his master. They gained entrance to the temple and found plans that a clan of Mandalorians were to invade. They entered the heart of the temple and found the Mandalorian Alor. He was a rogue force user. Unable to resist the power of the temple the dark side had consumed him. They fought the man and eventually killed him. All seemed well, but the padawan had given into his rage in order to defeat the Mandalorian. The power that had corrupted the Alor now corrupted the Jedi.
He told Draconis he was the chosen from the Thyrsian sacred sun text. He attempted to convince Draconis to serve him, but Draconis saw his madness and would not submit. They fought, and eventually Draconis bested the fallen Jedi. As the man lay dying on the ground Draconis dragged him from the temple. The rest of the Militia was waiting outside with the fallen Padawan's master. The master Jedi healed his Padawan and exiled him. On there way back to the Militia's HQ the Jedi Master told Draconis he could use the force, which was followed by a staunch warning on the wickedness of vengeance. He asked Draco if he'd like to join the order afterwards. Draconis agreed, but after a string of events forsook the order and joined a famed band of Thyrsian mercenaries.
