Book I: A New Son
Draker was born exactly fifty-two years ago on Galidraan in the family estate of Villa Draker, southern continent. As common, the birth would be celebrated by the young parents who got their first child, a worthy occasion for a feast. The new heir was not an unusual child, growing up as any noble would, he received exemplary education in etiquette, history, administration and training in warfare, swordsmanship and various more, less noteworthy skills.
At the age of nine Draker was seriously wounded in a fencing tournament, carrying a long and deep scar across his stomach ever since, but it would neither halt nor delay his success as a student and warrior. Galidraan had a long and distinguished history of fighting with elaborate swords and Marius was not different. He never achieved the technical mastery or elegance others had, but his pure determination and sometimes foolish bravery gained him victories, and injuries, where others would back down.
His parents and house were strong supporters of the Sith-Imperial rule, embracing the unity and strength the Empire projected, sort of neglecting the decadence and partly uselessness of the Sith, imprinting their views and opinions onto their son. Draker would see and meet several Sith throughout his youth, even experiencing their capabilities one day - the day he received his scar. He was winning the duel but his opponent was an undiscovered Force sensitive and with a burst of rage tried to gut him. Of course the Force user was taken as an acolyte to the next Academy right away. But the encounter left a mark on the young boy.
Not long after his 15th birthday, Galidraan sunk into chaos.
Book II: Earning a Name
It would be titled the Galidraani War of Independence, an uprising against the imperial overlords by the imperial rebels. When Draker observed the news, that was what he thought. Imperials fighting imperials, because one of them decided to stick to the Sith. It was ridiculous. And if he wouldn't have been involved, he would probably have laughed about the irony.
His father went to war, called to arms by those he swore allegiance to. And despite much protest, the fifteen years old boy, went too.
In a string of very successful missions and skirmishes, resulting in a decisive defeat of the anti-Sith insurgent, Draker had proven himself. He was given a new rank and was now in command of the theater, his father becoming his subordinate. A fifteen year old at the head of an army and in command of a theater.

House Vaiken-Valoris
Today House Vaiken-Valoris is only holding few of its assets together and under direct control. Since the Galidraani War of Independence they had lost a lot of their power and influence and its main-stay became more or less fleet-based. The current head of the House is Draker Vaiken-Valoris, son of Aldo and Atia Vaiken-Valoris, both from Hiperion with his father holding up the direct line of ancestry.
The members of the noble line have predominantly blonde hair and either blue or blue-green eyes, though offer little other exceptional physical features. They are of average built and height, enjoying through strong features in regards to cheekbones and a chronical lack of beard growth.
Hiperion
Hiperion is the ancestral homeworld of House Valoris, a world dominated by a red desert except for the equatorial region which is mediterranean in climate and vegetation. While the latter holds the civilisation, the government and administration as well as the vast majority of population, the red deserts are reserved for industry and military purposes.
Its capital, Mons Tharsis, carved into a mountain itself, is the beating heart of the world and holds more than 30% of its population in vast spires. It is also home to the Hiperian Senate, the ruling body of the world, composed of accomplished aristocrats who discuss the matters of state daily in their marble-paved halls and on cushioned seats. Still the government is elected by the population and each office is held by two people, to give balance and checks.
The world produces a large variety of goods, ranging from foodstuffs to feed the own population, to mechanical parts for quality machines and arms for its vast volunteer military. The Senate and State of Hiperion [SASH] is known for its endurance and logistical marvel. Its ability to supply its vast population with an extremely efficient food and granary system as well as being able to maintain a balance between environment and industry is as remarkable as its fierce military. The average soldier might be inferior to the elite Mandalorian, the zealous Stormtroopers or brutal Mawite Marauders, but it is the quality of its army which makes it incredible. Their drill to work together, to move and fight as one is second to none.
