Draven Dursden
The Toy Knight
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
This light saber is two in one really. The real magic worked is in the hilt of the saber. The kyber crystals are pretty average purple crystals, but the two hilts are meant to combine. When combined, both the hilts will ignite into a blade, but the two blades will be fused together with a small gap in the center between them which other blades could easily get caught in. The blades do have a cross guard when combined, and also when they are not. The handle is clunky and blocky, put together in order to hold the mechanics which allow for the blade optimization.
Strengths:
- Intent: To create a lightsaber that can be split into two one handed sabers or one two hand saber, and has a unique cross guard.

Strengths:
- Longer length, allowing for more reach and broader swings.
- With the optimization of the two crystals when together, both the sabers burn hotter and create a larger cutting area
- The usual light saber strengths apply to both sabers
- The cross guards allow for hand protection
- Dueling this broad light saber is made for specifically one on one combat, and when dueling with another force user one on one is in its natural environment. In one on one situations, this saber truly shines.
- When combined, the two blades burned hotter, and channeled more power than most other sabers. If the user was particularly powerful and had the strength, these sabers could be used to shatter others much easier than other light sabers. The design is meant for completely obliterating other sabers when put together. That being said, even with this optimization, the broad saber shattering another is still a very very rare occurrence. Just not as rare as the average saber doing so.
- If the user has time to prepare for a on coming attack and fuse the two blades together, the double bladed light saber will be extremely strong, having a chance to even shatter the other users blade. The extra reach and extreme heat gives a added advantage.
- The two blades are very compact, easily concealed or hidden, one of the only advantages of having the saber in single form.
- The larger hilt allows for, and almost requires, two handed use when combined.
- Water will ruin the blades, shorting them out and requiring them to be cleaned and optimized once again.
- When not connected to create a larger blade, the two purple crystals were not as strong, and if enough power was exerted, could shatter.
- When split apart the blades have a tendency to short out, about twenty five percent of the time, if the sabers are ignited individually, they will choke and have to be reignited once or twice more to get them to actually draw.
- When put together, the fully formed saber takes on a heft due to the heavy mechanics which were used in the hilt, making swinging the saber more difficult and requiring a physical fitness from the user not required by other sabers. This also makes counter attacks much easier if the user overextends.
- If the blades shatter, they will explode the hilt, obliterating the users hand and arm.
- The biggest weakness of this saber is the time it requires to put the two blades together. It takes a good thirty seconds to a minute to put together. At the very fastest twenty seconds, if the user has years of experience using the hilts and knows what they are doing. On their own, the two blades are average, at best. Under performing at worst. If the user is ambushed or surprise attacked, they will be stuck using two under performing light sabers, unless they find a moment to combine them.
- The combined hilt can be shorted out or choked by force lightning, if specifically hit by it. The sabers themselves hit by force lightning will not effect the combined blade, but if the hilt takes a direct hit, this will cause the two blades to die for a moment, and re ignition will be required.
